Went for lunch today. First time at a Smash burger. Really impressed. After you place your order, you're given a # to put on your table, and when your order is ready, it gets brought out to you. Tables have napkins, ketchup/mustard and salt/pepper caddy on them. This location just opened recently (last week, maybe?), but it wasn't too busy, so I think a lot of people don't realize they're open yet (no, "now open" sign, or anything). The place was really clean, and staff were continuously busing and wiping down tables. Staff was all very friendly and even asked how our meals were. Manager was saying bye to people as they left. Great service! Now, the food. Husband and I each ordered a regular smash burger (lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, smash sauce, ketchup, American cheese) We ordered regular fries and smash fries to split. The burgers were really tasty and juicy. The egg brioche bun was good too and the burger to bun ratio was just right. The fries were shoestring and crispy. The smash fries had a really good rosemary flavor. I personally prefer a thicker fry, but these were good. The milkshakes that I saw another table order, looked good. They had a good selection of burgers and we'd def go back and try another kind. By far, better than the two other burger places close by (Five Guys and Burger Dive). read more

I ordered two BBQ bacon cheese burgers - one without onions. I specified only meat cheese bacon and sauce. I drove home to discover I got a plain cheeseburger but was charged for the BBQ bacon burger. The cashier was nice enough. The food runner was pleasant. The wait wasn't too long and decor is inviting in the event of a long wait. $18 for 2 burgers and 1 order of fries. There's probably no burger competition in the immediate area. the burgers were good the fries are of the shoestring variety. I might try a milkshake on a hot day if I'm nearby. read more

Went here for a quick dinner to let traffic ease up a bit heading up 93N. I am so glad we did. The New England burger was delicious and the smash fries super yummy. What can I say. I like this place. Lets start with the burgers which are juicy and tasty. Some great fresh toppings. I like the fresh jalapenos my self. However, what makes this place better than other fast food burger joints (like 5 guys) is the sides. Smash Fries with rosemary are outstanding but so are the sides you can get like tator tots. We ordered delivery. It came within an hour as promised. However. The driver left it on the front steps of the wrong address. No one called us. And we only knew to look for it because I cHecked the Yelp app and it said it was delivered 15 MINUTES AGO!!! so needless to say most of the food was cold since it's February. The food was tasty however, two of the orders were completely wrong. Asked for extra Mayo on one and there was NO MAYO. and another order had no cHeese and no sauces that were supposed to all come on the burger. Really disappointing. Possibly will try again but order in the restaurant so we can make sure the order is right. Wouldn't recommend delivery. Still shocked they never called. Reading the reviews I had high hopes and was looking forward to a nice couple burgers and fries. Walked in and was really impressed with the way they had the place laid out wide open very spacious and extremely clean. They had seats outside seemed like I had a winner on my hands. Thinking back now when I pulled in I saw a long line in the drive thru but thought nothing of it since when I've never been somewhere I make it a habit of going inside so I can look over the menu without feeling rushed so figured it wouldn't affect me. I went inside there were only a few people sitting inside and I was first in line and 1 person waiting for takeout. The girl behind the counter was very nice she took my order I ordered 2 triple doubles and 1 regular fries and 1 smash fries then I waited. As I was waiting I noticed more people coming in and it getting busier and the only employees they had on duty were the girl at the register and the cook !!! Now I don't blame those 2 whatsoever for the service I blame management 100% how can you have a drive through eat in and take our with 2 employees ? They were overwhelmed management obviously dropped the ball. Needless to say the wait was pretty long to end a very long day I was starving I figured maybe it'd be ok once I ate. That only made it worse I can't understand the high reviews maybe it's me but I wouldn't go back there if it was free so many burger joints around and I had to pick this. Worst experience of my life. Ordered thru DoorDash. My food was STONE COLD. I work on Mystic Ave in Medford and they're located @Riverside Ave Medford. Food was STONE COLD. Driver was RUDE AS HECK. Gave him cash for a tip AND HE TOLD ME TO GIVE HIM MORE. Called the restaurant, told. Matt, the manager on duty what happened "oh door dash is a third party, nothing we can do." I do appreciate that he offered me a free burger if i came in. I told him that I'd honestly have to think about it because of the bad experience i had. He said "Yeah whatever," and HUNG UP ON ME. Now i KNOW this was my first and LAST coming here. I will NEVER go there again. I wouldn't feed it to my DOG. Love their customer service. Burgers are fresh and hot. The whole wheat bun is a great option. I usually choose to make my own instead of choosing the "theme" burgers but they all sound yummy. I just prefer more plain burgers. read more

So after I get picked up from work, the wife was super hungry. So we went to smash burger, new place that was just built. The place is very nice decor is great very comfortable setting. Many variations of burgers being offered. They have a regular and a big selection and that's just on the burger patty 6 or 12 oz patty. They have shakes that they can make to bad they ran out of ice cream that day. Then the fries something that is necessary to compliment any burger. They were good but too small just like in and out. But the cool awesome spin that they do is that you can choose different ways yours fries come in. You can have it spicy or smash style which is a little garlicky and many more styles. Total joke. I've ordered here a few times for takeout and it takes FOREVER. Today I wait 25 minutes after my food is supposed to be done and then they tell me the order didn't go through (even though I got a confirmation email and they charged my credit card). My guess is they realized they screwed up and hadn't made the food so they cancelled the order. Beware if you're ordering takeout here, their online ordering is garbage and you may show up because the email told you to and your order may be mysteriously "cancelled." read more

Ordered the spicy jalapeno baja burger and it was pretty small... Lettuce was bigger than the burger LOL. Unfortunate. The patty was pretty small to be honest. The tomato slices might be as thick as the meat hahaha. There were like 4 slices of jalapeno, I expected a few more than that. There was also like a tablespoon of guac on there. Smash fries were good since they were topped with some rosemary and olive oil. Fries were really oily and the oil eventually pooled down LOL. I just ate at the Smashburger in Westwood mass, and must say I was surprisingly disappointed. On a positive note the cheese burger was very juicy, but was overwhelmed by the strong mustard taste. The only thing that stood out on the Burger was the mustard. I ordered fries and was given Buffalo fries(mistake) was hotter than I expected. Food came out within two minutes I was very surprised that a burger and fries can be cooked & served in less than 2 minutes. Fast food chains don't come out that fast. This fact led me to believe that the burgers were pre cooked and fries were just heated up, and served to me Dry. I've been in the food service business for over 30 years. I've eaten at your natick location and loved the burgers. This may have been a random occasion but very disappointing none the less. read more

Terrible service. Bad attitudes. Served our shakes in to go paper cups when they should have been in glasses. They were just left on the very edge of the table with no way of knowing which shake was what flavor, girl just dropped off never said a word just very bad attitude. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this place. The atmosphere, the staff, the food, everything was good and ran smoothly. I got the smashfries which were great, didn't need anything (eg salt) added, just good as-is. I got a regular burger (that's the smallest size) on wheat bun with cheese, lettuce and spinach. It was delicious, just a little small. I'll be going for the big burger next time I think. The edges of the burger were a little crispy, but not burnt. Just went here and I have to say it was much better than my last experience. The staff was friendly and helpful and my burger and fries were good. The size was good. Not huge but not too small. It was basically all you need. Is fat America wants the supersize but you don't need it. This amount was plenty filling. Returned here and finally tried the smashchicken sandwich and was not disappointed. HUGE piece of chicken seasoned great and juicy. Came here on a Sunday afternoon for the first time. It wasn't busy. Just a few people. I had the bacon avocado grilled chicken and crispy chicken with sweet potatoes and smash fries. I know it's a burger joint so it's hard too give a real review since I had chicken. For a chicken sandwich, it was really good. The bacon wasn't too salty and it was cooked perfectly. The avocado that came with it was too small. Wish they gave a bigger piece instead of 1 half slice. The grilled chicken was seasoned very well and it was a big piece of chicken. It was served in a multigrain bread. I guess you could say it's a "healthy" sandwich. The smash fries was a bit too oily. You can't really taste the seasoning because the fries were soaked in oil. Sweet potatoes were really good. Good little joint to hit up after a day at the gym. Overall experience, friendly staffs, quick service, lots of dine in tables, plenty of parking spaces. Fair price. Would come back for their milkshakes since it's made with Haagen dazs and their burgers. read more

This was my first time coming here I was pretty hungry so I ordered the simplest thing, 4 cheese burgers with sides of fries drinks and a kids meal with fries and a drink. The server was not helpful she seemed like she didn't want to be there which is understandable but she made me not want to come back as she continually messed up the order and was not very friendly . I love a good burger and fries but I doubt I will eat here again. We ordered for work and when I got my food it wasn't good. I ordered the BBQ Bacon Cheddar Burger and it was awful. The burger was overcooked and dry their were literally 3 slivers of the haystack onions and almost no BBQ sauce at all, I couldn't even finish my burger. It looked nothing like the picture at all. The fries were cold and hard. I doubt any of this was fresh it sure didn't taste like it. My other co-workers had the same issue.I am disappointed and most likely will not order from here again :( read more
