For almost two weeks, they called and emailed me **daily** -- sometimes multiple times a day -- even though I stayed in constant contact and told them I would bring it back after Halloween. I do a large Halloween setup every year for local children, so I was extremely busy, but I never once said I wouldn't return it. On the day I planned to finally bring the bug back, my truck broke down and needed a new fuel pump, towing, and repairs. Without even reaching out to ask what happened, they went ahead and **charged my bank card $50 without notice or permission.** That was my gas money to actually come and return the bug -- which, by the way, costs about $7 online. After borrowing gas money, I *still* drove back and returned the item in person. Instead of an apology, I've since been **harassed and pressured** to make my daughter delete her own review -- with them even saying my refund "could be delayed" if she doesn't. This review is from me, Patricia. I was upfront, responsible, and in contact the entire time. They chose to overcharge me, threaten me, and keep bothering my family over a $7 toy bug. There isn't a clock/timer in the room however so it's hard to know how much time you have left for figuring out the puzzles. Be careful with parking because it's surrounded by other private parking areas so just be aware of that. The receptionist is nice and they give you hints/clues when you ask. Overall, I think this place was cute and great because it wasn't that hard to figure out (which was great for me because I'm not a great critical thinker when it comes to puzzles).

Escape Room Adventures is on the top floor of the 62 Webster St. complex. You can enter through Canal Club 62's patio and go right up the stairs. The lobby is super cool in general, a precursor to what you'll face in the rooms themselves. There's a few tables and chairs to hang out in, plus a non-alcoholic drink bar. They have lockers where you can store your stuff before you go into the room (and you can keep the key on your wrist so you don't have to worry about losing track of it somewhere). I did the Stranger Things escape room with a couple of other Yelpers and let me just say, the amount of detail that went into the room itself and how intricate the puzzles were was just incredible! Sometimes I feel like escape room puzzles can be kind of basic, but they made finding the codes for the locks so much fun. They did a really good job of tying a ton of aspects from the show into the puzzle solving, and on top of it the rooms were so incredibly submersive I only wished I could take selfies in there!! At one point I was able to solve a specific puzzle quickly because I'm such a huge fan of the show that I didn't need to consult the clues to figure out the answer. We also got to communicate with walkie-talkies and crawl through a hole, what other escape rooms let you do that? The themes of their other rooms are also very pop-culture, which definitely scores some cool points with the giant nerd that I am. I am really looking forward to returning in the future!

The first time I came here, I went in with Robin, Aaron, and the Manchester United loving son and super sweet daughter. They were a great team and we all did really well together. I like to win. We not only escaped, but we set the all time record for the fastest team ever to get out of our "Amityville Horror" room. The 2 most recent times I came here, it was actually for a drink! As my friends and I found out on the day of the event, the Italian sodas here are magnificent. And dirt cheap too. These, alone, are worth 5 stars. The other thing about this escape room, and perhaps most importantly, this place is run and owned by the loveliest family you could ever meet. They lost one of their children to cancer, and this place is dedicated accordingly. It's a beautiful concept, and they are beautiful people.

We start working the room and not 5m in the GM gives us *unsolicited* advice giving away the first puzzle, a pattern that would continue through our hour long experience. The set dressing was ok, definitely in the low budget tier, which isn't in itself a problem, but it didn't help redeem the room. Puzzles were linear but once we early solved one puzzle and jumped into the middle of the sequence, the GM's unsolicited advice was just confusing because it had nothing to do with the puzzles in front of us. Bottom tier escape rooms experience, find better elsewhere.

I first visited Escape City 5 years ago or so, I was working a different job but really enjoyed the experience. In my previous adventure I played the Over the Falls experience and was completely blown away by the game. (We did not get out) Recently I was thinking for ways to get the two teams I work with out of the office and have an adventure. This wasnt about networking, team work, collaboration, etc. This was just about getting out and having fun. So when I saw Escape City launch Jurassic Quest I had to make a suggestion. I am a lifelong dinosaur fan and of course love the Jurassic Park, later World franchises and read the two original books earlier this year. If you are a fan of the movies you will notice MANY incredible details of this room and if you are a dino-finantic you'll easily get through some puzzles. The production value of Escape City is phenomenal as their parent company is Frightworld. You'll find great investment the room(s) you play through. Ive only played Over the Falls and Jurassic Quest, but each room pays incredible attention to detail and great investment in the technology for the room. If youre looking for an incredible escape room experience I highly recommend coming here for a game. My only caution is that this sets the bar high and most other escape rooms are not this produced.

We had an initial walk-through with Shane (owner/manager), Steve (MC) and Ross (DJ), who asked us a few questions so they could better understand us and make recommendations for our wedding - e.g. what kind of music we like, how did I my wife and I meet, how would we describe each other, etc... This walkthrough was very helpful as we had no idea what we were doing and gave us a good idea of what to expect and what we needed to prepare in the coming months. To add another layer of difficulty, we were trying to coordinate a wedding in Niagara on the Lake, ON, while living in Boston, Massachusetts. They checked-in with us from time to time with more elements to consider and to discuss the details of the timeline for our wedding. As we got closer to the event date, we had a few Skype sessions with Steve, our MC. We provided him with some very ambiguous and open-ended information about our bridesmaids, groomsmen and parents that he was able to, somehow, turn into beautiful introductions for each person before they gave their speeches. Steve not only went above and beyond prior to the event to make us feel comfortable with how things were going to go, but during the event as well - introducing his great sense of humor throughout without overpowering the event. Steve was so beloved, in fact, that at the end of the event much of the wedding party asked to have them join them for drinks while they continued the celebrations that night. Ross was the DJ during the event. As a half "American", half Ukrainian wedding, we threw a very complicated set at him. We gave him songs that were in another language with varying styles that he needed to balance with a mix of traditional jazz and 90s pop music. He was able to pull this off without a hitch and read the crowd very well. Ross was great about taking requests from the guests. We had a diverse group of people - with equally diverse tastes - whose requests he was able to satisfy and blend into the overall style/feel we wanted for the evening. We also had Sound of Harmony provide blue uplights - which we highly recommend as well. It added a nice feel around the room where we felt something would have been missing otherwise. It's a small addition, but makes a big impact. We couldn't have asked for a better team to DJ our event. Working with them was by far the easiest part of wedding planning. The day of the wedding we still had a lot of things to keep in mind and take care of but the DJ and the MC were not one of them. We are truly thankful for all their hard work! They absolutely nailed it!
