And when they came out the man was very condescending and spoke down to me and my adult daughter, who was visiting from Texas (she's an RN). He admonished me and told me my roof should have been replaced 5 years ago. ---I already knew my roof was bad......THAT'S WHY HE WAS THERE! When he left, my daughter and I felt like scolded children, so I decided I did not want to give them my money. The lower estimate was $1,500 lower. I received the estimate 3 days later than they said I would. (Three days isn't unreasonable, but a quick message saying it would take longer would have been appreciated). The estimate wasn't an itemized proposal, but one paragraph with a price. When I asked questions it took awhile for them to respond, and I felt like they were hard to get a hold of. I looked up their address which was a bit deceiving, because their Suite # is actually a PO box number, and I felt if I needed to get a hold of them after the job was done that it may be difficult. I asked about a warranty and he said there was a one year warranty on labor. (Salgau has a 10 year warranty on labor, and a limited lifetime warranty from Owens Corning on the shingles) When Corey (from Salgau) came out he was kind and professional. He sent an itemized estimate that same day. Salgau's estimate was the only one that included pictures of my roof. I went back and forth asking questions and Corey always replied promptly. I apologized for asking some dumb questions, and he made sure to tell me none of my questions were dumb and to 'ask away' making sure I understood everything and was comfortable with the whole process. I had a full tear down and replacement, and I can't believe it was done in one day (very hard workers)! -Except the copper flashing on my chimney, which was done the next morning. That same day I received the receipt, the labor warranty, and the info for the Owens Corning warranty---which Corey also helped me with. When they were done they cleaned up. My yard, driveway, and walkway looked better than it did before they started! My neighbors have complimented my new roof. And, for the first time ever, I looked forward to the rain that was forecasted yesterday....my leaky roof no longer leaks! :) I am so happy with my new roof, and very comfortable with my decision to choose Salgau. I highly recommend Salgau Roofing. And thank you especially to Corey. He was part of the whole process from start to finish. Within a short time after placing a call to AAA, Steve was at our door. He was able to extract most of the water from our carpet. Before 10 a.m. our carpet had been removed and hauled away by Steve. He brought in big fans and a dehumidifier. He and my husband located the fractured pipe. He went into our crawl space to locate any other possible problems. They were polite and caring people - two young men showed up one worked one helped as needed -…read moreafter an hour and half working on bathroom sink and kitchen sink the one young man went under the house and discovered the kitchen pipe had a hole in it - within 5 mins he charged me $95 said he'd come back with boss with estimate next day - poof they were gone - never heard back from them Then next day we used Rooter Man, LLC again nice gentleman came - turns out they were all nephews in the family - then things turn to hell - we explained the issue and what happened and how we were abandoned - we agreed sink drain needed estimate - he went under and viewed the issue - decided to work on bathroom sink and fix that for $150 since we wasted $95 day before and they were nephews - he didn't have a watch or phone on him - 4.5-5 hrs later he fixed the bathroom clog - his boss called US TWICE to contact him and check on him because if time - gentleman admitted he lost track of time and didn't realize he'd been there that long - ended up charging us $361.25 - problem I had was he didn't track his time despite us telling him and checking on him - he promised to come back and give us estimate - no call next day - we called they denied knowing us we provided details - response "OH" - well we will be out after he finishes his current job for estimate - again no call another day no water usage - 4 days now Here's the issues I have - we were honest and said we were concerned about price because we are on disability - we were honest about it and said estimates would help - then find out both companies refused to come out for estimates because "we don't have money" our disability and senior status was used against us - I had an issue either this along with the extra costs for repair because person on site chose not to track his time - then denied service - then the gentleman threatened physical harm on me because I dared to question their actions and choices and said I had an issue with moving forward with a $100 check he was given - avoid Drain Master and definitely avoid Rooter Man, LLC in Toledo if your a senior citizen and/or on a fixed income these people will rip you off and treat you badly they have no respect or decency

Our home is situated on that which was once farmland and now lay fallow. The land is uneven and, in…read moreareas, steep. We've had A+ mow those portions for the past several years. The job was always completed thoroughly and we were pleased. This year we decided to add to the scope of the job. Our property consists of the former farmhouse, a very large barn and a cottage on the river in addition to our more recently built home. Our barnyard was overgrown and contained much that needed to be removed. That junk was removed neatly and cleanly as was some materials at the old farmhouse and the river cottage both of which are rentals. The barnyard was not simply cleared of trash and weeds it was also made leveled and stone was placed there for a very neat, clean look. The river cottage suffered some wind damage and a very large tree was downed which, when sawed into sections was difficult to move. Those sections were removed and the land was cleared - no easy task as the land drops off to the river. The parking pad was also cleared and reworked to a neat, clean area covered with gravel. Following that some of the landscaping areas around the main house were cleared of overgrown bushes, the stumps were ground, the area leveled, covered with weed barrier and finished neatly with mulch. I'll add that they were also kind enough to remove decorative stone from one of the areas to another area with like stone in order to replenish that area. The area from which the stone was removed was covered with weed barrier and mulch to blend with an adjacent area to provide a more contiguous look. To say we are pleased with the results would be inaccurate; we are delighted. (My apologies, I note a few grammatical issues: the land "lies" fallow, the barnyard was made "level" , etc. ) I'll finish with this: a job well-done for a fair price.
