He took full ownership of the situation and never tried to cover anything up or make excuses. He sent out his most experienced technicians to thoroughly go over the system and determine whether there was an issue that had been missed over the years or whether the unit ultimately needed to be replaced. They were finally able to determine that the AC had been installed incorrectly. While I'm certainly not thrilled that an improper installation wasn't identified during the multiple service calls we've had over the years, I do want to give credit where credit is due. Once Peter and his team became involved, they were extremely solution-focused and committed to getting to the bottom of the problem. I also learned that Peter was not the owner when I originally purchased the AC, which makes me even more appreciative that he stepped up and took responsibility for an issue that technically predated his ownership. He assured me that, one way or another, we would get the situation resolved, and I respect that. One thing that really stood out to me throughout this process was how highly each of the technicians spoke of one another. Every gentleman I interacted with this week had nothing but positive things to say about the rest of the team. It was very obvious that they have each other's backs and are all working toward the same goal. At the end of the day, I'm still disappointed that it took this long and this many service calls to uncover the installation issue. However, I believe in giving credit where it's due, and Peter and his team deserve recognition for how they handled things once they became aware of the problem. Their communication, willingness to investigate, and focus on finding a solution made a significant difference. ***************************** We have had ongoing issues with our AC system since purchasing a new unit from this company five years ago. From the beginning, the system has struggled to keep up and has consistently run nearly 24/7. After having the team come out multiple times to troubleshoot the issue, I ultimately had to have the system and other aspects of my home thoroughly evaluated. I was eventually informed that the AC unit installed was improperly sized and too small for our home. This has resulted in years of frustration, along with thousands of dollars in additional utility costs and service fees trying to diagnose and address the problem. I'm extremely disappointed that a new system was installed incorrectly in the first place and that it took multiple service calls and significant expense to determine the root cause.

We called another company with "six locations and a coupon" who said they could fix it "Tuesday". On Monday, they called and pushed that back to Thursday. Their voice mail said if we didn't call them to confirm this, they wouldn't come out, even then. That's when I found Thompson's. I called at 10am. Got a call back within 15 mins tops. A week goes by and she hears nothing, almost another week goes by and she calls them back again, and asks when they were coming back because her refrigerator was not being able to be used. She finally asked to just be refunded for the part because nothing was fixed and he ghosted her. So she was ripped off almost $300.00 and nothing was done. Normally I fix my own stuff but just thought I'd bite the bullet and pay someone. Rod came out $79…read moreservice fee to tell me it's the water pump leaking.... order part couple days later came out to replace part but couldn't get my instrument panel off, pounding on my machine to the point of brushing his hand and prying with a screw driver scuffing up my machine. He couldn't understand what the problem was... take out "4" screws and it comes right off. Told me I would have to get a new instrument panel "$250" because he would have to bust it off.... or call GE to fix it. Well it's 5 screws and it comes right off. I ended up fixing it myself.... but turns out it wasn't even the drain pump leaking it was the drain hose from dispenser up top. I asked for a discount or refund for the inconvenience and scuffing up my machine and on top of that, it wasn't even the water pump.... he said he can't do discounts.... I think I was at least owed something....1 star for showing up every time he said..... but that's about it!
