Update: It seems my initial experience may have been…read moreunusual. After finding the problem, Luke finished repairing my computer in less than 24 hours. He even replaced some screws I had taken out because he was worried he lost them. Because of this, I increased the rating I gave to this place. Original Review: Aside from a part-time employee once or twice a week, the branch manager, Luke, is the only guy working at this location. I brought my laptop in last Tuesday (today is the following Monday) because it wasn't posting, and I paid $80* for the diagnostic procedure. I called on Thursday after having not heard anything, and he still hadn't worked on it, and it wasn't until I called this morning (six days later) that I finally got confirmation that he's running the tests. *While the diagnostics cost $80, Lucas informed me that half of that ($40) would go towards the cost of repairs if he is able to fix it. Now, because my computer isn't even posting, I know the test isn't as simple as it is for a computer that simply won't boot or is otherwise not working right, so I can understand that it may take a little longer. I also know that it's a first come first serve establishment and he likely had dozens of computers ahead of mine in line. However, he did not warn me that it would take this long to have my computer looked at, and in fact implied multiple times that the work would be done much sooner, including when I called on Thursday to which he said he would likely have it done that afternoon. I am a very understanding person, and I love supporting local businesses. Lucas seems like a nice guy who's just a little in over his head. I'm just losing patience right now because it's finals week in college, and I have had to do my studying on a chromebook loaned to me by the library. Very inconvenient and frustrating! As for the other services and the custom-built PCs sold there, I am not very knowledgeable. Lucas seems like he knows a lot about computers, so I would assume the builds he sells are very nice. Milwaukee PC also does video digitization, which I may do in the future because I have a lot of home videos on Mini-DV tapes (I know that's technically already a digital format but I don't have anything to convert them). I will probably just go to Best Buy if my computer breaks again though.

My laptop was reeeaaalllyy slow at start-up, opening apps, etc. I thought it was a RAM or…read moreprocessing speed issue, so I asked them what it would cost to add RAM, if it could be done. Lucas explained that the issue was actually an old hard drive (about 10 years old) and that replacing it would make my laptop run better than a new one. He walked me through some software I would lose, as well as how to reinstall it. The main one was my MS Office suite. He explained that I should be able to go to Office.com, log in, and download the software that I previously purchased and re-load it from the site. I trusted his expertise, took my laptop home, backed-up key files, removed files with personal information, and took the laptop back to get a new hard drive. He told me it would take about a week. A week later, they called me to pick up my laptop. They completed a back-up process, installed the new drive, and re-loaded Windows 10. The laptop starts up blazingly fast! I was also able to go to Office.com to re-load the MS Office suite that I purchased back in 2013! Compared to the cost of a new laptop, this was a no-brainer, and I'm thrilled with the results and service I received from Lucas and this Milwaukee PC location on Bluemound Rd.

To make a long story short, after going to the Apple store with my Macbook Pro (2018 model) that had both a non functioning track pad and keyboard they told me a replacement of the "top case" (meaning the whole integrated keyboard, track pad and battery) would be approx $600 which was similar to the remaining value of the computer. Like with previous computers, there comes a time where the money to fix the box seems better applied to getting a new box and just updating the whole rig. So I spent $2800 on a new MBP but kept my appointment with Premiere to see what could be done about fixing the old computer. Apple was not taking new service appointments for some reason but they did suggest Premiere as an authorized Apple service provider...so I kept my appointment which was no cost to me until they did some diagnosis etc, so I had nothing to lose by having them take a look. Within about two minutes of checking out my broken box they immediately told me that this funky all-in-one "top case" design was a known headache and Apple itself offered a warranty coverage of some sort and that the whole top case could be replaced for $130 total. I had them do the service and then tested the box which was in great shape. I returned the newly purchased box (there is a 14 day no-questions return policy when buying new box from Apple directly) and got my $2800 back. All along the way they were transparent about what they were doing, open with respect to evaluating my box and letting me know there was still 4-5 years of great operating life to be expected, and generally professional. Like I said, I can't recommend them enough and their tech skills were really top notch. I have a great deal of computer knowledge and 30 years of Apple experience specifically. These folks are as good as I have dealt with and have my complete confidence. You can't do any better.

It was a very hard decision for my husband and I to leave our first baby girl my first day back to work. You can imagine the nervousness, but even on the first day, Ms. Jefferson went out of her way to reassure she was going to be OK. Ms. Kristie was kind enough to answer all my calls/questions when I would check up(mostly in the beginning ha). Our daughter is now 14 months and looks forward to going to school and has made so many new friends. She's gained many skills along the way and doesn't seem to miss us when we drop her off:( Thank you staff and Leadership for making the transition to parenthood as working parents an easy one!

As a parent, choosing a daycare is such a stressful endeavor. Finding a high quality place with…read morecaring and knowledgeable teachers that is in the right location and is in your budget is next to impossible. Luckily after touring 4 different daycare facilities around Wauwatosa (where I live) and Muskgeo (where I work), we found Grandma's house. A huge plus is that the center is a 3 minute drive and less than 15 minute walk from our house. Also, we love V's teachers- They have made the transition to daycare so much easier, trusting that they are providing lots of opportunities for playing, learning and interacting with others. Grandma's house does family style homemade meals and they try to keep the center very clean (constant handwashing and parents must wear blue booties over their shoes when they enter). They're also very willing to go with the flow with their schedule. Rather than having exact start and end times for activities, they adjust the start and end times to fit with how the day is going. The kids nap at different times depending on their need for the day, which then allows for kids to have more one on one time while other kids nap. The only thing that is challenging for my family and this center is the cost. I think they provide financial assistance for families in great need, which we are not. But we're kind of at the edge, where this is a bit more than we can really budget, but can't imagine settling for less. However, I won't take off a star for this, because they are willing to let teachers or others who only work part of the year, take off during the summer at no penalty. This keeps her attendance there within our financial ability. Overall, we are very pleased so far. If you're searching for a daycare nearby here, make this one stop on your list!
