I brought my computer in to retrieve files per their website. The clerk said he was 99% sure they couldn't restore any files, so I asked for my computer back & to refund the $60. He wasn't authorized to do so. Their customer service is refusing due to diagnosing. The computer doesn't have a battery so he wasn't able to turn it on! Should be called 'U Break, Then we completely fucking Destroy' By Asurion. Brought in a functioning phone only for them to 'possibly damage' it during a routine screen replacement. After a 'quality inspection,' I got my phone back completely bricked. Unable to call/text or access wi-fi. Garbage place, had rude employees, and was an overall unhelpful, frankly the most frustrating experience I've ever had in a repair store of any kind. Phone is still in for repair, and I have very low to no expectation that it will actually get fixed/resolved. read more

Several years ago I would've given this shop something closer to a 1 or a 2. It seemed that an inordinate amount of the work they needed to do on my laptop had to be "sent out," and the closest I could come to an estimated e.t.a. was a week or so. But I decided to give them another shot this fall ('24), and I am so pleased that I did. The person who took care of me (forgive any misspelling -- Kaitlin!) was accommodating, knowledgeable, and friendly. She opened up my wife's MacBook Pro on the spot (no caveats advising against opening laptops, which I'd heard at the Apple Store), did a routine check of the inside, assessed the symptoms, and based on this cleaned the inside and repaired a couple of connections that she could see were faulty -- all for little or no cost. She determined that the battery, which was not holding its charge for very long, needed to be replaced, ordered a new one, and let me take the laptop home until the day -- just a few days later -- that the battery came in. At that point she was able to replace the old one, which was tricky to remove, within a couple of hours. Before I took the computer home, we discovered at the front desk that the track pad wasn't responding well to the touch of a finger. I let her keep it one more night, and the next day another helpful person (Nate? Nathan?) detected and fixed what turned out to be another faulty connection -- and again, for no cost, in part because they felt they "should" have picked up on it on their own, even tho I hadn't said anything to them about it. Based on the quality of the work -- to say nothing of their respect for my time and my wife's reliance on her laptop and their willingness to be sure that the computer was working well enough to take home while we waited for the right day to make the repairs -- I would not hesitate to trust our other devices to their care! read more

Horrible experience. They had my laptop for over 10 weeks, did not communicate, shipped it to Florida without my knowledge, broke parts that were originally functioning, and had to replace with a whole new laptop due to the damage. Poor communication was the worst part. I had to initiate 10+ calls and walk in 2 times for any type of update. A 1-year warranty was listed in the terms and conditions, but they tried telling me I was ineligible for this. Now, just after the warranty expired, my laptop has stopped functioning... My experience with uBreakiFix got off to a poor start, but in the end it was very good. The posted hours online and on the door said the place opened at 11 am. I arrived at 11:30 to find it locked and dark. I took a chance and waited until noon, hoping it would open, and it did. That was annoying, but after that, service was friendly and prompt. Charde'a was very helpful, and I was able to get my phone battery replaced in two hours. I'll be back if I need something fixed--but I might call ahead to make sure the place is open, first. read more

Brought my laptop in a few months ago for an assessment, in which they ignored what I was saying the issue was and decided it was the screen. I took my laptop home after a 400 dollar estimate on a 50% success rate screen repair, and was able to completely revive my laptop by detaching and reattaching the battery myself. You'd have better luck just googling your laptop issues than getting service here. read more

I visited the store 4/2 PM to replace my phone screen but was thrown off by the potential added cost for repairing at uBreakiFix(I have AT&T insurance which usually replaces for $30/$50), and have decided to go straight to one of their locations to incur less cost for repairing. The trendy looking lady up front with the glasses was very professional, and accommodating nonetheless as I had a slight mental breakdown from having to do math on a Sunday... 10/10! Very friendly and made my phone look much better for the meantime by taking my cracked screen protector off for me to thoroughly assess the damage. read more

The woman at the call center said she would ask the technician at the store my questions. 1) how much would is cost...estimate answer..$150 maybe less 2) how long would repair take? this company is unprofessional and a horrible place to go to. They guarantee you a certain service that they cannot back up. They told me as I took my PS4 in it takes less than a week for things to be completely done. It's been over 13 days still yet to have a call to let me know that they even finished it. I haven't received nothing back every time I call it's like they're reading a script. It's the same thing they keep telling me after seven calls, I eventually had to call corporate to ask for someone to look into the situation since I'm not getting any resolution with the store, because they keep telling me the same thing . I called for an estimate on a cracked laptop screen. The employee who answered the phone spoke down to me and was generally not interested in gaining me as a customer. I asked for an estimate on the repair and, though they do offer free in-store estimates, the employee would not take down the model number of my computer to give me a ballpark estimate on the price of my specific lcd panel. I then called ANOTHER location in the area and got a responsive tech who listened to me, looked up my laptop over the phone, and gave me a rough estimate. read more

A friend of mines referred me to this place so that I could get my sons PS4 fixed. I was excited that I could finally get the game fixed, right before his birthday. I took it in on June 8th and in a day or so I received a call from the store manager telling me what was wrong with it and that it would cost $125. I said ok sounds good, I asked if it could be fixed by the 19th of June he stated that if I brought the tech support for $25 a month that I would then become first priority and that it would be done by Friday, so I excepted the monthly charges. Friday came no one called Saturday came and I called and the lady told me that the manager was on vacation and wouldn't be back until that Monday, I was so out done and upset... I call a couple of times during that week and no could tell me what was going on with the game... long story short I just got the game back on July 18th and the game is still not fixed all the way..... Also,when I went in it took them about 25 minutes to find my game... I dislike that I had to go through all of that and I'm paying money for the service... Took my laptop in for water damage; my keyboard doesn't work and it makes a beeping noise evening though no keys were being pressed. Waited about a week and a half and they called me telling me that they did diagnostics and cleaning. They said that the cleaning "fixed" the beeping noise and found corrosion on the connectors for the keyboard. They gave me a quote that it will take about $400-$500 to replace the keyboard, labor, time, etc. I said no and it was fine. They also told me that if using an external keyboard, it will type. The laptop was ready to be picked up. Went and picked up my laptop, no charge since I already prepaid the $24.99 for diagnostics and cleaning. Lady told me the same thing as the guy over the phone. Took it home and turned it on and it was still beeping. Checked the keyboard and if they did clean it, it was a horrible job at cleaning. Saw gunk, lint, and dust (still looks the same as when I dropped it off). One thing I learned is I should have turned it on in-store and checked it then. Could have gotten a refund, or whatever, but it seems that they did not do anything to my laptop at all. Glad that I did not jump on their "$400-$500 for repairs and it MAY NOT even fix the issue" speech. read more

My iPhone 11 had a broken camera, but a perfectly fine screen. After my first visit, the camera still did not work, and, during the repair process, the phone developed a screen problem where the corner of the screen became dark (the whole screen should be white in the photo below). I came back in several more times to get the camera and screen fixed. The camera was eventually fixed, but at the end of the final visit I was informed that the problem with the corner of the screen just moved to another corner and was not able to be fixed. I asked if I would be compensated for the repair job that messed up my screen, and was told, "That's a free screen." I did ask for a free screen protector to replace the one that was on it before the initial repair, which I got, but it was applied off-center. So, after several visits my camera was fixed, but my screen ended up worse than it was before the first visit. read more

The absolute worst service. DO NOT COME HERE. I was given a text and email notification that my phone was ready to pick up. I get there at 3:15pm on 7/18/2020 and run in thinking, as the communications said, that my phone was ACTUALLY ready to be picked up. Nope! He had made waiting for long enough that I ended up getting a ticket from a parking cop. He was nice enough to discount me the cost of the ticket. He tells me my phone is still resetting, and to go wait in my car for 5-10 minutes and he'd run out and give me my phone. Nope again! I ended up waiting in my car for more than 30 minutes. When I went inside to tell him this was taking too long, he told me "I forgot." DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE! read more

I was just trying to get a new phone from spectrum by trading in my old broken phone but for some reason I couldn't because I was a level 1 member being upgraded to a level 2.‍ so I decided I needed a phone so I was pointed towards ubreakifix. It was closing in 30 mins so we Got in and Micheal the manager who's never been to raising canes takes it and says I can fix it in 5 mins. Jokingly I ask if you don't do I get a discount... Worst experience I've ever had. Don't bring repairs that are more complicated than an iphone screen here. They will ruin it and try to screw you. Take your device to another Wisconsin location. Overnight, my computer battery went bad. I had a great experience taking that same laptop to a location in North Carolina right at the start of the pandemic lockdown. They fixed it with ease despite restrictions and I was happy to recommend Ubreakifix to everyone I knew! So when my battery went bad, I brought it straight to the Milwaukee location. They took my computer for evaluation and said they'd call me in a week to get authorization to order the parts. They didn't. I called and gave authorization anyways. The part comes in and they "fix it" easily enough. I pay them $150 and open the computer at home. I was a little irritated that they left sticker residue on my computer (obviously felt that it was worth taking the sticker off for the customer, but were too lazy to actually finish the job) and the scratches all over my device. My main complaint, however, was that the keyboard no longer worked. Big complaint. THEY WILL BREAK YOUR DEVICE MORE THAN FIX IT. This is all over a replacement battery. I called them and let them know. They said they couldn't take responsibility for it (the laptop was dead when I brought it in so they couldn't 'verify' that the keyboard ever worked) and had to charge me. I said okay and brought the computer back in while they ordered the parts. I called a few weeks later to check in and they said to bring my computer back in. I said "you already have my computer!" so they had to go search in back for a laptop with no updated documentation and luckily they found it. Because they didn't document this, they still had to order the parts. It's insane to me that they would take my laptop without writing anything down. A few more weeks pass. I'm calling asking for updates often and every time I'm told that only the store manager Mike can give me updates. Mike sucks and never returns calls. I walked in demanding an update because of the lack of response. Was told that only Mike can help me and even watched the clerk write a note to Mike on a sticky note. No call from Mike. I finally get a hold of him on one of my calls and he says my repair will be done in 30 mins and to call then (why it's MY responsibility to check in is beyond me). He is clearly exasperated and doesn't want to deal with these ongoing problems. I call back and Mike excitedly tells me that the repair is done! Except that it's not. They lost the screws during the repair process and it would be another week while we wait for screws to come in. I'm livid at this unprofessionalism, unapologetic tone, and the delay. The screws come in a few days later (quicker than estimated, I'll give them that) and I go in to pick it up. I immediately look at the screws out of instinct. 2 screws are missing and I ask why. "You must have been missing 2 screws when you brought it in." I explain that they ordered a complete new set of screws and so they should all be there. He goes in back and comes back with the screws installed. WHY COULDN'T THEY SCREW 10 SCREWS IN? The laziness and unprofessionalism is appalling. I get home with my "fixed computer". It turns on fine and charges fine but the laptop says "Battery not recognized" and there are still a few keys on the keyboard that don't work (for a full keyboard replacement that cost me significant money). I also notice that the speakers are completely distorted and fried. I call and Mike argues with me that everything was fixed. No it wasn't, Mike. He says he will order parts and work on a solution and give me a call back. This is the point where I never heard back and they would no longer return my calls, so I took it somewhere else and that repair shop told me that the computer is damaged beyond what it would cost to replace. I started an account with their corporate customer service. They started off great and helpful but eventually became as hard to work with as the Milwaukee shop. Long story short, would never return my calls, and ordered me a replacement. They refused to give me a refund or details of the replacement. They just expected me to take the replacement and be happy. So at the end of the day, 6 months, significant money, a crazy amount of time calling (and getting no response) from both this store and corporate, no repairs and more problems caused, and a 7 year old computer of lesser value as a replacement (but no refund). charging tip from a non-Apple device broke inside my iPad. I went to Apple and they were unable to fix it. Instead they offered me a new iPad and an out of warranty price. They suggested I go to an Apple authorized business that was closed. A friend found UbreakIfix Near our home. In three minutes they were able to get the broken piece out and me on my way. I was grateful. They were open on a Saturday night until about 7 o'clock. I was unable to charge my iPad which I use for work. Thank you thank you thank you. read more

Took my iPhone here to get the screen replaced. The tech forgot to put the screws back in to hold the screen in place causing it to become unresponsive, twice! We had to take it elsewhere to determine the issue and get this resolved. When working with customer service, they have nothing to say or offer for the additional costs and efforts we went through. Beware!!!!!! My entire experience with this place was horrible. So I went in to see about having my son's chrome book screen fixed, agreed on the services and left the laptop with them for almost 3 weeks only for no work to be done at all. I was told that they sent me a text and email but both the text and email stated that they were currently working on my device. I decided to just have them work on my laptop as my son had already missed 3 weeks of assignments waiting on them to fix his laptop and I had it serviced somewhere else. Well after leaving my laptop with them for a battery replacement they first lied about the timeline in which the services would be completed then returned my laptop to me with dents dings and a glitchy screen and then proceeded to tell me "we didn't do it", smh! I'm so disgusted with the negligent behavior and lack of customer service I received at this place, needless to say I will never be patronizing this place ever again and advise anyone else against going there for service.
