We went for the couple packages which was two one hour sessions. Upon our arrival we filled out some forms which she also took the time to explain to us what each form was for and why - really made us feel super comfortable that we weren't just signing any random form. As the teeth whitening service began, she explained our present teeth color and what all she would be doing during our procedure. My Fiance and I were really happy that Jo took the extra care and time to make us feel comfortable while explaining every step of the way so there were no surprises. The 1 hour procedure for each of us was broken up to 3 x 20 min procedures. Her massaging chairs, pink ambient lights, Spotify music and phone holder really make it easy to kick back and relax while the teeth whitening procedure is happening. After she added the gum protection and teeth whitening solutions we both were on our way to a better and brighter smile. During the procedure, my Fiance (who normally has sensitive teeth), requested to reduce the strength of the procedure and Jo skillfully adjusted and made the remaining procedure for my Fiance easy and smooth. At the end, both of us were shocked with how white Jo got out teeth after just one visit! Then she explained what not to do/eat during the first 24 & 48 hours, then we were all done! I was told that a 2D oral photographic image would not result in any additional cost to me or my dental insurance. However, when I later reviewed my insurance explanation of benefits, I saw that my insurance had been billed $346 for that imaging. After noticing the charge, I reached out to Dr. Pardo for clarification. Instead of receiving a straightforward explanation, she responded dismissively. Because Dr. Pardo knew I was trying to make the most of my annual insurance benefits, I was disappointed to see my available coverage used for a service that wasn't necessary. Dr. Pardo later said the imaging was necessary, but then why would the dental hygienist ask as if I wanted it in the first place? I shouldn't have to pay for the lack of communication between Dr. Pardo and her staff. I also called several dentists, and they all confirmed that those specialized images aren't necessary for care. There is absolutely no reason for Dr. Pardo to be dishonest and rude.

wow, i am amazed by the quality of care and the softness of the staff. every team member i spoke to…read morewas very kind, professional, and helpful. they are also well staffed so wait times are short. this was my first visit and i was very grateful at how the providers listened and built a great treatment plan with me. my previous dentists were not as willing to work with me on a treatment plan. in the past, i had been concerned about my receding gum line. my most recent dentist, another private practice, had nothing to say. i got a second opinion and he said there was no concern, that my teeth were growing and elongating. well, fast forward to my visit at west covina dental, Dr Abu took a look at my x-rays and did advise there was a bit of bone and gum loss. finally, i don't feel crazy! it was wonderful to be taken seriously and have treatment to prevent further loss. periodontal services can cost a bit so if i can prevent it further, i will. my hygienist Maria Bonilla made sure the procedure was comfortable and enjoyable. she was a master with the tools and i seriously have never had cleaner teeth. i have quite a few follow ups and i am looking forward to having them as my dentist. shoutout to my dentist Dr Abu, my hygienist Maria Bonilla, Jasmine for finance and Angel for finance and front desk. everyone was awesome!!

She's always pleasant and sweet, best of all, gentle! I've had two root canals, many fillings, countless teeth cleanings, oh and braces all done by her.
