I made an appointment 6 months ago. Smile Magic sent me text messages reminding me of my appointment two weeks prior to my appointment. They call me the day before and tell me they can not honor my appointment. Excuse me i made my appointment 6 months ago Ridiculous. They tell me that my appointment has to be moved to 2 hours later because i have a PPO. I have always had a PPO nothing has changed on my part. I finally spoke to a manager manager and she got me in 15 minutes later than my original time. I have spent lots of money at the dentist and expect better treatment. Both of my kids have their braces done and always on time for my appointments for 6 month check ups. They do not appreciate or value their customers. read more

Zero compassion. Only cares about money. Have an abscess tooth that has to be pulled. Which means a costly implant. I need time to get the money for all of that out of pocket. Antibiotics working quickly and 95% healed. Called for a couple days additional antibiotics. Said no that it wouldn't help and i had to come in and get it pulled. When i KNOW it was healing and the antibiotics were working extremely well. So disappointed. Find a compassionate dentist. So many out there. Disappointed is overwhelming. read more

That was terrifying experience with my 7 years old son today. Now he got dentist-phobia, thanks to Doctor at Smile Magic in Garland. I choose this clinic because of friendly environment and I wanted to make it feel as fun for my boy, but there is something to do with bed side manners of doctor, she scared him some way, that he screamed the whole procedure even after numbing his gum. I never seen my son like this, it was not a first time for him to fix his teeth and he used to be always calm. Doctor got very irritated with his anxiety, talking harsh and very pushing on him, I felt like to cry with him together. Common, he is just a child . That's not the way to handle kids, I've seen other dentists, I know how well they can calm a scared kid, but not this time. Unfortunately.... I transferred from Lewisville because I moved and got tired of driving back and forth for the kids appts. This location looks great and is conveniently located for me however the MAs and the Dr treated me like I was an inconvenience to be there. At the end my kids were given their bags and balloons but not the coins that usually happens at Lewisville. Also they treat all the kids in Lewisville like they matter but here they are just here to collect a check. I'm going back to Lewisville where they act like we matter and are more than just a payment coming in. read more

Horrible place! They are trying to scam you. I walked out of there with over $2,000 worth of work that "needed" to be done to my 2 kids. 1/2 of that was apparently cavaties. I went to a REAL dentist and there was nothing wrong with my boys teeth. And absoluately NO cavaties! Just think if I would have spent all that money and put my kids through that agony. I'm prety upset at this place! we will NEVER go back there again. Oh also be prepared to be there for 2 to 3 hours because they think the most important part of your visit is for your kids to play the whole time. They take forever to see you. Then you go back for x-rays, come back out for another hour to play, etc. It absolutely ridiculous! BTW- I wouldn't give it any stars but it won't let me go any further without rating it. read more

Scheduled an appointment for my grandchildren 3 weeks in advance and sent the insurance information to them the same day. We tried to contact them several times to get the out of pocket costs for treatment but no one was available. The office finally contacted 3 days before appointment and verified the appointment and gave us out of pocket costs. Showed up at appointment time and was told they did not accept the insurance. No explanation, nothing. The people there at the time had no information other than the non-acceptance of insurance. One would think they would have known this at any time prior to the day of the appointment. And why would they contact to verify the appointment and discuss the out of pocket costs if they had not yet verified the coverage? Be aware of what you are signing up for before you get there. read more
