Called last week and left my insurance information with someone who said I'd receive a call back. When I hadn't heard I left a voicemail. Called back a 3rd time only to be put on hold to see if there was someone in admin who could help assist me. The woman came back on the phone suddenly saying the don't take my insurance, even thought their website states they do and the person I previously spoke with said they do. When I brought this up she then said they're at capacity for Anthem insurance holders. She sounded unsure and like she just wanted to get me off the phone. Based off this wildly unprofessional interaction, I would not trust them for my child's care. Look elsewhere. read more

this was the first vendor we used after we received my sons asd diagnosis. we didn't know what to expect but Julia was our first and primary therapist for OT. Once my son got into an early intervention program that was 8am-1pm suddenly every therapist had a full & conflicting schedule. Scheduling never offered a waitlist option and pretty much terminated services. I wish it hasn't been that way considering many other children also utilize other services like pt, speech, aba, floortime etc, I'm sure I wasn't the only parent with limited availability. My son is 6 yr old and has Autism. I've been to quite a few therapy offices in a few cities around California looking for a OT and speech services for my son. I decided that smile pediatric occupational services might be a good fit a year or so back. I want to speak on his OT services and how much I appreciate Gwen his OT therapist. SHE IS AMAZING. She is patient, thorough and kind every session. We constantly see breakthroughs and celebrate each one as my son continues to constantly surprise us at every turn. The facility at smile and wonder was really built well with functionality in mind. Again I am speaking on the OT services and how meticulously Gwen meets my sons needs. I have seen other OT clinics around LA and I can tell you this one impresses me the most. I highly recommend. read more

Dani is amazing & I am so happy with her! She's the best speech therapist I've met and my son looks forward to all his sessions. She's so fun, welcoming, and so trustworthy. ok i am in complete shock i don't know where to start . But i want to make sure everyone is aware what i am about to say before they enroll their children here. I am very dissatisfied with the staff in this office . The front desk/scheduling are very rude. They don't know what is going on, clueless from one another, very disorganized , kept canceling my sessions and then saying no therapist is available to cover . They would just assume things and cancel your session without even calling and verifying/confirming with you and when even if you call back right away to see why/what happen and that there must be some kind of confusion from their part or mistake they end up telling you they are unaware of what happened and why but your therapist has been relocated already and there are no more therapists available for todays session so your out of luck. Sometime they would even book me with an ESDM therapist and the therapist wouldn't show up and when you message their office they apologize and say the therapist won't be arriving and there was some kind of mistake . Very unorganized place , you cannot rely your kids to have regular sessions here . They don't care about you or your kids. They don't care if your kids will miss a session because of their mistake. I will not recommend this place to anyone, please stay away . Once i started i waited on waiting list for about 5-6 months to have ESDM therapy on afternoon times at my home and when it was finally our turn they gave us many hours at first and then slowly started taking away leaving me only 3 days a week And now suddenly on the spot they took away all leaving it to 0. I am very unhappy with the therapists as well non of them are educated at all nor have any certifications/licenses. They are just regular people like us that come to play with our children or shall i say babysit them. Like really ? this is is suppose to be ESDM therapy not babysit. I stoped having some therapist come because they wouldn't do anything they would just come to waste time and go. I could have done better than them. One of the therapists we decided to work with don't want to mention names. We treated her as part of our family member, we always offered her dinner and deserts/juices and we were super nice to her but she ended up being unthankful and not caring about my son at all. She kept canceling sessions with us and then ended up canceling all of her 3 day sessions with us the same day without any notice (was today). I called to speak to the Office manager trying to bring up a different concern that also took place a day before but besides her apologizing or trying to solve it out she said she can discharge my son today saying the therapist won't be able to work with the afternoon hours anymore and we have no more therapists to cover for the afternoons so we can either discharge your son or put him on the waiting list. We waited 6 months for our turn what waiting list are you talking about ?? again?? and the sad part of this was that this call was with one of the supervisors, that's how careless they are regards to your child's therapy sessions. If you have any concerns and want to speak to a manager/therapist good luck they wouldn't care at all what your concerns may be. There will never be any resolution to your concern, don't even try. Without notice or anything they were like boom your child's services stop today. Like woooow what really???? what a shock. What kind of office are you guys running ? Now i have to get a referral and find another office which of course will take time and because of this unorganized office and rude staff my son won't have the therapy he needs until i am able to find him a new one. The least you guys could do is give families ahead of time notice so at least these poor families have time to find something else for their children to meet their needs. just terrible, i would give this office 0 starts if i could. We were only here once for a feeding evaluation. We saw Judy and she was amazing. We had previously seen an occupational therapist at the hospital where my daughter was born. She saw us for 10 minutes and said everything was fine. Judy actually took time to do a thorough evaluation. She listened to all of my concerns and was very patient and tried different ways to examine my daughter. It was so hard to get this referral; so I was really happy my daughter got an evaluation from someone who actually cared and was really good at their job. Thank you Judy! read more

This place is simply great because of the quality of therapists it provides to parents like us. Having a special child is difficult and in this process I came across so many therapists from different agencies but no one could ever match the quality of therapists Smile provided us. I would heartily thank Jessica as she was the best in the lot that came to work with my son. Seeing her work with my son used to give lot of hope and happiness to me and always a feeling that my son will be alright one day. Unfortunately we had to move and new place was far from Smile and we had to lose the and it was a very difficult decision for us. but this place will always hold a special place in my heart and proof of this feeling is that I am writing this review almost a year after we left Smile. I rate a two star. Alexa and Rachel are the best. But the administration is something else. My kids were let go from the facility because they missed sessions, but my son was sick for 3 months with the whopping cough, his asthma, and pneumonia. And my daughter is only 3, so of course she can't drive her self there. But they still let them go even if I would give them proof of them being ill. It's so sad. My children have difficulty trusting people especially our son who has austim. They should take the consideration of doctor notices as an excuse and but they still let them go. We as parents were being very considerate of not taking our children sick when other children were present at the facility. I don't believe they kept in mind when they will cancel on us at the last minute as well when their staff was sick. Now we are in search of finding where to take them for speech. Since they aren't allowed back to this center. May we find a therapy center soon. Thank you Ms. ALEXA AND Rachel for all your help. My little ones will miss you both. read more

The ESDM program through SMILE has been life changing for us. We started at the beginning of the pandemic and have been doing zoom therapy for 10 months now. I do not know where we as a family would be without the help of incredible therapists Wendy and Michelle. Their commitment, wisdom, kindness, and expertise has been life-changing for us. We have also worked with speech therapists Aimee and Kellee and occupational therapist Julia who was wonderful. There are really great services here. read more

I cannot even begin to express how grateful I am for Smile + Wonder! My son has been receiving services here for almost a year and he has made such great progress. We have done speech therapy, occupational therapy, feeding therapy and we are currently doing ESDM. All of the therapists are wonderful and almost everyone in the office knows my son by name. Maddie and Alexa are great. They were so patient with my son even though he refused to participate or was cranky, but they remained calm and professional and not once made me feel like they had it. Therapists here always have a smile on their face and are very sweet. After 3 months of therapy my son started saying more words and imitating us more. I'm very thankful to these ladies. read more
