AISHA has been wonderful, helping him develop his fine and gross motor skills, and LILA, our speech therapist, has been a true gem. She is incredibly patient, kind, and knowledgeable, and has made such a meaningful impact on his speech development. We're so grateful for the care and dedication they both provide. My only feedback would be regarding the administrative side, as communication and scheduling from the main office can sometimes be inconsistent. Once you have a dedicated therapist, I recommend working directly with them whenever possible. Despite the administrative hiccups, my son has had such a positive experience and his therapists truly care about him and his progress. We wish they accepted more insurances to continue on, but still very grateful for the time we've been with them. For that reason, I'm still very happy to give OT Studios 5 stars.

She has taught Annabelle how to roll over, crawl, stand, walk, balance, draw and so so so many other things. There are good therapists who work at Theraplay. This review is not for them. I'm writing as an…read moreangry parent whose child was completely abandoned by this office. I took my kid to Theraplay for feeding therapy, and in our initial consultation with Marci Silver, she explained that feeding issues often start with physical causes that become behavioral over time, and suggested we see an ENT to rule out any obstruction in his airway. As he's never had any breathing problems, I wasn't in a hurry to see another doctor, and we proceeded with feeding therapy, coming in once a week. After four months with minimal progress, we were asked to join a team meeting to discuss my son's case during his normally scheduled session. The office completely botched the scheduling here, and I ended up at the office with my five-year-old instead of on my couch without him. We were also charged for everyone's time, even though Marci had dropped the ball on an earlier follow-up, which was part of his regular care, and I assumed she was just rescheduling that meeting. We were refunded the money after I sent a pointed email, but a real indicator of the communication problems at Theraplay. At that meeting, Marci and co. said they weren't getting anywhere with therapy, and that we should pause until we made an appointment with the ENT. We said okay and proceeded down that path, which ended with my son getting a minor surgery to release a previously undiagnosed tongue tie. This was all well and good, but when I then went back to Theraplay to resume therapy, they told me they had no availability and referred me to another provider, who also had no availability. It is honestly astonishing that these people pushed me toward surgery for my six-year-old as part of his treatment plan, then abandoned him as a patient when we'd gone ahead and made the suggested alteration to his body. Just an incredible lack of organization and an abysmal level of care. I'm not a tough customer (you can see I've written over 5,000 reviews here, and only 28 are 1-stars), but I'd recommend Theraplay to exactly no one.

VERY CHAOTIC AND DISORGANIZED OFFICE - POOR COMMUNICATION…read more "VERY SMALL STAFF" as an excuse for just horrible behavior. After completing the full evaluation process and receiving a recommendation for an intensive program, we expected there to be a clear and realistic scheduling process in place. Instead, communication was inconsistent, meetings were urgently requested, then missed without notice, and we were scheduled without confirmation for dates that directly conflicted with our child's school schedule. What was most concerning was being told that scheduling depended on whether other families confirmed first, despite already having completed evaluations, received treatment recommendations, and expressed both financial and scheduling readiness to proceed. From a patient perspective, that gave the impression that families are being selectively prioritized rather than scheduled through a transparent process such as a waitlist or first-come-first-served system. I understand small practices can face capacity limitations, but if a clinic is unable to accommodate the treatment plan it recommends, that should be communicated clearly and professionally from the beginning. We were just emailed that they cant serve us- and given a refund. While I appreciate the refund, the overall experience resulted in significant lost time, rearranged work obligations, and a delay in getting care for our son.

Really fantastic place. One thing I will say is if you are not getting along well with one provider there, there are others who are more than qualified :)

Hava really made an impact on my son's speech development, I cannot thank her enough. Now they do bring in people that are training into your child's session (as Hava is the lead therapist there) which is okay but I am sure you can opt out of that if you feel like it's not for you. I found that Hava made sure to chime in when the session could improve. Gwen was an amazing occupational therapist, I have had a hard time finding the same type of quality of work she did at the other center. Brontie also left an impression on us, she was such a pleasure to work with and my son loved her. Angel is the office contact and she is also great, she gets back to you right away and is so helpful and patient. The level and quality of communication from here was unmatched compared to other centers. I really did appreciate all they did for us. If my son were to ever need anymore support I would totally come back.

Bad experience from beginning to end. Therapists don't meet qualifications as they are assistants…read moreand not OT. Admin staff needs to be retrained. Company motto "client first, therapist second, company third" doesn't align with their values. My son was referred by our private insurance in November, I called to schedule yet was given the run around call after call and nothing was scheduled until February. Shortly after, my daughter was approved by Westside Regional Center for OT, so before choosing this clinic I asked Hannah if they worked with them and her answer was yes. We had a few sessions with both of my kids seeing Ms. Gwen back to back. A week ago we started my daughter's session which was abruptly interrupted by Hannah saying we need to stop due to a contract issue with the provider. I was not given an explanation further, I was also not given options to finish her session even if that meant paying out of pocket. I followed up same day with Hannah asking what the issue was but was again not given an answer. Monday came so I followed with her again yet was told "team is actively working on it" and was offered to cancel my son's appointment. I took my son to his appointment and followed up that afternoon with Hannah who said "we don't have a time frame" . I called to speak to a supervisor was told there was no direct line but they would email Ms.Alya. I finally got a call today from Mariah calling about my son yet the issue is about my daughter. She stated since the therapist is an assistant OT the program won't pay for services so they need redirect my daughter elsewhere. I explained my concerns and asked why it took them a week of me following up to get an answer they clearly had since day one. I expressed I will need to move my son eventually and was offered to remove him from the schedule. This is customer service at its worst. Not only did they not follow up with the regional center but she told me I should speak to upper management on their end for not letting me know OT assistants couldn't provide service. That should be a situation for the companies to discuss not the clients.This ultimately affects children and parents who advocate for their kids. It was made clear that we didn't matter as clients and just another number on the book.
