She has taught Annabelle how to roll over, crawl, stand, walk, balance, draw and so so so many other things. We are grateful she has been with us throughout the last 2 years and very much apart of Annabelle development. She has been a great person and friend. She is always professional and timely. She Stayed with us while Annabelle underwent all her surgeries and kept time in her Schedule to continue therapy when Annabelle recovered. She genuinely cares about the well being of her clients and she isn't just a teacher / therapist she has become a part of our support system for Annabelle. This lady never gives up on her clients!! She is incredibly patient, kind, and knowledgeable, and has made such a meaningful impact on his speech development. We're so grateful for the care and dedication they both provide. My only feedback would be regarding the administrative side, as communication and scheduling from the main office can sometimes be inconsistent. Once you have a dedicated therapist, I recommend working directly with them whenever possible. Despite the administrative hiccups, my son has had such a positive experience and his therapists truly care about him and his progress. We wish they accepted more insurances to continue on, but still very grateful for the time we've been with them. For that reason, I'm still very happy to give OT Studios 5 stars.

She taught us alongside our girls, showing us how to model language for them, gave us handouts and answered all our questions along the way, which really helped their speech development between sessions. She came to our home to start, then switched to their preschool when we needed to start them in Daycare. We had our last session with Emmy today and we were so sad about it! We were with Emmy for two…read moremonths starting when my son was 20 months old, who wasn't babbling or saying any words save for some animal sounds, and the progress he made in those 7 weeks was nothing short of remarkable. He's babbling, using a lot of sign language to communicate, and has started saying a ton more words. Having gone with him to every session, I also learned a lot about how to better communicate with my son and how to give him the tools he needs to succeed. The only reason we left Pediatric Therapy Playhouse was because we qualified for the free early intervention program through the state -- otherwise we would've stayed with Emmy! I would've gladly continued to make the 45-min drive twice a week to see her. My son became more and more comfortable every session and she made sure she evaluated his needs every day by dimming the lights, getting on his level and using the toys he's comfortable with. The therapists are happy to communicate and collaborate with us as well as our son's other therapists and teachers. This has created an environment that has allowed our children to make substantial progress. Where other therapists (or teachers or educational administrators) have pressured us to lower expectations of our children, the professionals at Douglass Speech work to ensure that our kids are able to meet and surpass their goals. Our son's speech and language delays still need help, but I cannot imagine he would have been able to progress as far as he has were it not for the work being done with Douglass Speech.

Called back a 3rd time only to be put on hold to see if there was someone in admin who could help assist me. The woman came back on the phone suddenly saying the don't take my insurance, even thought their website states they do and the person I previously spoke with said they do. When I brought this up she then said they're at capacity for Anthem insurance holders. She sounded unsure and like she just wanted to get me off the phone. Based off this wildly unprofessional interaction, I would not trust them for my child's care. Look elsewhere.

The first day we met Kristine we fell in love with her bubbly, kind and caring personality. My daughter wanted to go see her everyday. She told us it would take about 6 months to help her correct her pronunciations and that's exactly how long it took. We just finished and my daughter's confidence has significantly increased because of it. Even her teachers at school noticed how well she's doing. We couldn't have done it without Kristine! When our services through the regional center ended, we sought Kristina out through her private practice. She strikes the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth. As parents, we often feel anxious and uncertain about our child's future, but Kristina guided us every step of the way. She clearly communicated our son's goals, and he achieved them rapidly. Today, our son is a completely different child compared to when Kristina began working with him at the age of 2.
