You could tell they truly know how to work with little ones. Even when I made the initial appointment, the front desk staff was incredibly kind and patient and took the time to answer all of our questions, which really helped ease our nerves. Didn't know the office is on the 6th floor and only a certain set of elevators go to this floor in the building! I think when patients are making a NP appt, a heads up about this is necessary. It took over 10 mins for the elevator to arrive and get on. I also went to a different set the first time and ended up being a bit late. I agreed with the quote and signed the treatment plan so Galaxy did 2 teeth and my son took 1 day out of school as he had anesthesia. I paid the $150 on the way out, however, I received a bill for $316 one month later that Galaxy said those are the charges are not covered by insurance. I was very upset and went to a different dentist for the rest of the teeth. I explained to the new dentist what happened with Galaxy and they looked up my insurance and said I only need to pay $30 co-pay for 2 teeth at once. So I spent $60 total for the rest 4 teeth. Also, my son was able to go to school right away after the treatment without any problem. The new dentist and Galaxy performed the exact same job. Galaxy costs me $450 for 2 teeth and the new dentist costs me $60 for 4 teeth. I would not trust Galaxy and I hope this review helps the other parents in the future.

My daughter is 7 years old, and Dr. Bao was incredibly patient, kind, and gentle with her from the very beginning. Even though the office was very busy on Saturday morning, she never rushed us or made us feel she's too busy to show deep personal interest. She carefully examined every single tooth and actually found a very tiny cavity that other dentists had missed. She cleaned the tooth carefully and placed a small filling right away, which I really appreciated. What made the visit extra special was how Dr. Bao turned the whole dental appointment into a fun and educational experience for my daughter. She gave the dental tools cute names so kids wouldn't feel scared. For example, the suction tool was called "Mr. Thirsty" because it comes in to drink the water from your mouth. My daughter thought it was hilarious. During the visit my daughter was watching cartoons on the ceiling and felt completely relaxed. Instead of being nervous, she was actually curious and interested in what was happening. Dr. Bao also patiently showed her how to brush properly, how to floss, and how to take care of her teeth after eating sweets. We both learned a lot during this visit. However, the reminder card Tanya gave us clearly indicated the appointment was on March 4 at 3:00 PM.We arrived for our scheduled appointment at 2:52 PM on March 4. Tanya clearly remembered us, yet she intentionally called other families who arrived later, causing us an unnecessary wait. When I approached her to ask why patients who arrived later were being seen ahead of us, she laughed and dismissively stated, "Oh, I'm sorry, you guys are next!" However, as an existing patient, the next appt they had available was 8 1/2 months out. Stop accepting new patients if you can not handle the ones that you already have. It's a slap in the face. It's also a zoo when you go in there. It's very hectic and I've never seen the same hygienist more than once. They also have an annoying habit of pestering you. For example, I had a 1pm appt. I was parking the car and at 1:01pm I get a call asking if I'm still coming. However, on multiple visits I've waited in the lobby 15 minutes past the appointment time to be taken in. So they are fine with making you wait but 1 minute late on your part and it's an issue.
