In Sept, my daughter had a cavity on a BACK tooth. They went ahead and used a white (more expensive) filling without saying a word to me about it and/or the cost difference. No discussion, no consent--just did it and charged me. For a back tooth! The normal silver would have been fine! I brought it up with billing, I was not happy but ended up paying it anyway. Then in March, I specifically told them NOT to do anything that wasn't covered by insurance. I made that very clear after our last visit!! Despite that, they did X-rays--even though she already had X-rays at their office in September. Insurance only covers them once a year, which they know because they call the insurance for verification AND have all her dental records. Now I'm stuck with another bill, and when I called, they refused to help or adjust anything because "I signed for it." That's not acceptable. I did NOT agree to unnecessary or non-covered procedures, and I definitely was not told these X-rays would cost me out of pocket. There was no urgency, no pain, and no reason the X-rays couldn't have waited until they were covered again at her next appointment (in just 6 more months)! This feels like a pattern of doing extra procedures and billing patients without proper communication. If they send me to collections, I am prepared to escalate the issue further and file a complaint with the BBB and Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners! Very disappointing experience and poor customer service. Be careful if you go here.

The last dentist gave us a referral to have cavities filled under general anesthesia since my daughter was a little nervous with the nitrous oxide. But she was still able to sit through and finish the procedure, so I was hesitant, and I'm glad I trusted my gut instinct to wait and get a 2nd opinion. She did perfectly fine both times at this clinic with a strawberry flavored medicine and nitrous oxide. The dentists and dental assistants we had here both times are exceptional in their clinical ability and also in making children feel comfortable. My daughter was talking about the "unicorn powers" and "pink bugs" for weeks after her visits. I highly recommend this dental clinic.

I was not looking forward to having a tooth implanted to replace the one that had been removed. It felt like a scary medical procedure, not to mention the high cost. I just can't say enough about Dr Gelo and his staff. First, the experience was smooth and very well done. Dr Gelo is patient and always ready to explain in detail what is happening. And after doing lots of research the cost was extremely low for such a procedure. I checked a number of other offices before I went there. Also, periodically they do specials and one can take advantage of them. I followed up my original procedure with a cleaning and a couple of exams, all totally satisfactory. Several staff members acknowledged the ongoing issue and voiced frustration about how much it has affected both patients and staff schedules, but unfortunately none of this was mentioned during the appointment reminder call, so I ended up arriving late. Once inside, the experience became a reminder of how much one staff member can shape an entire visit. The clinical staff themselves were pleasant and professional. Britney was thorough with X-rays and photos, and Dr. Po completed the exam and recommendations professionally. While there were a few awkward moments regarding my medical and oral surgery history, nothing during the clinical portion of the visit stood out as negative enough to keep me from returning. What ultimately changed the entire experience for me was my interaction with Jessie at the front desk/billing area. From the beginning, I felt more like an interruption than a patient. During check-in, she continued conversations with coworkers while handing me paperwork with minimal acknowledgment. I initially brushed this off because everyone seemed stressed by the construction situation. However, after the exam, the interaction became increasingly uncomfortable. I clearly stated multiple times that I only wanted to proceed with the cleaning for now and was not ready to address additional recommended procedures. Instead of respecting that decision, Jessie repeatedly pushed the issue, emphasizing that everything was covered by the VA and questioning why I would not "fix" the problems immediately. At one point she said, "I don't understand why you won't get this done but alright," before leaving the room. Regardless of intent, the conversation felt aggressive, dismissive, and lacking empathy. Patients do not always make decisions based solely on insurance coverage or clinical recommendations, and it should not require repeated explanations for a patient to set boundaries about their own care plan. The unfortunate part is that one interaction overshadowed the entire visit. I actually had no major concerns with the licensed dental staff, but because of the way I was treated by Jessie, I will only return for the already planned cleaning and will not be pursuing the additional recommendations or continuing care at this office afterward.

Did not get a sinus lift nor bone graft because those are setting up an implant which I made clear I could not afford. 5 months of agony because a dentist wanted to make a quick buck! Sorry I wasn't able to add a few thousand more onto your paycheck. I did not get a sinus lift or bone graft at my surgeon and my sinus has not collapsed btw. Went in for x-rays (a filling broke) and was told I needed an extraction, 4 crowns and a deep cleaning (the other place said I needed an extraction, 2 crowns, a bridge and deep cleaning). He also said doing the extraction would make things worse because that tooth does 80% of the chewing so the other side of my mouth would take over. The problem with that is that side has 2 teeth with cracks in the fillings so that would them break apart, making my problem far worse. So, this dentist actually cared about my health and wallet while the other dentist saw me only as dollar signs. Also, this place charges $800 for a deep cleaning while the other dentist charges $2,000 (with the average about $1,400).

She was so sweet and attentive. I felt welcomed and at ease. This was important, because I have dental horror stories! Doctor Cressman came and introduced himself. He has a happy, kicked back personality. Again, important to feel comfortable and to gain trust. I said "Let's do it"! He asked me when I would like to start....... I said "Now"! We laughed and he and Lalaine got right to work. SO FAST! I was thinking to myself "This was too fast and easy......I'm going to have to keep coming back". I came back in 5 working days, and I had a nearly perfect fit! Why couldn't the other places that I went to, do this??!!! Courtney works at the front desk; she even said that she would call to set my 6 month appointment for a cleaning. I asked "to clean my prosthesis?", she said "Yes". In November, I was mistakenly scheduled for a cleaning prior to a root canal while I was in pain. The front desk acknowledged the scheduling error and advised that although the charge could not be refunded, it would remain as a credit on my account for a future cleaning. I returned in January specifically to use that prepaid cleaning, which had been paid for under my prior annual membership. While I was aware of the annual fee, I had decided not to renew it due to ongoing dissatisfaction with the service. I was not seeking new services -- only the cleaning that had already been paid for. At that visit, I was unexpectedly asked to pay again and told that renewing the annual membership was required. When the issue could not be resolved, I canceled the appointment. Within 1 hour of leaving, I was emailed a bill for $75.00 despite there being an existing credit on my account. Mistakes happen, but how they are handled matters. I believe fees and billing policies should be clearly communicated and that previously paid services should be honored without additional requirements. I'm sharing this so others can make an informed decision. I give 2 thumbs down.
