I've been bringing my kids here for years and today they were very unprofessional. I made an appointment on Thursday for today 06/09 and they called me on Friday to confirm the appt at 9am but I was on a plane on my way back to Vegas and landed around 12pm. I texted and called and left a voicemail at 12:21pm. They never called me to follow up or anything. The cancellation text said my appointment for Saturday was being canceled which my appt was not on Saturday it was on Monday so I assumed maybe it was an error since they never called me back after I left a voicemail. We're moving out of state and wanted to get my kids seen before the movers take my car. So if you're planning on coming here just know that if you don't confirm your appointment right that second they will cancel your appointment. read more

YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION INCLUDING YOUR SSN, ADDRESS AND DOB ARE AT RISK WITH THIS COMPANY! I am cringing as I write this because I think the Smile Squad Dentist are AMAZING. However, the professionals who have been hired to manage the front office are going to be the reason the establishment faces potential lawsuits. I want to address a few factors that have driven me to write this review...also the management is apparently in meetings all day and I am sure reviews and complaints are something that comes up in these meetings so HELLO. Thank you for not calling me back. I have been waiting on a call from a manager since December 6th, 2023. 1. Smile Squad Dental allowed someone who was NOT ME to call in and access my account with private information without my consent...actually with EXPLICIT direction to not allow anyone besides the individuals listed to access my account due to several various reasons. ( Not only were they able to access my account, but they were able to change information under my account as well) 2. Not only did they make a huge mistake, they attempted to deflect and pretty much say they did nothing wrong. This was all I was looking for at the moment because nothing will get fixed unless we are aware there is a problem. During my interaction with the manager, I asked if it was possible to add another layer of protection to my account to prevent anyone from calling in and he (in a roundabout way) said no. Instead of truly attempting to understand me he kept making it a personal issue between myself and the individual who called in and accessed my account. The issue is that Smile Squad was not verifying the name or the person who called in, just the patient's name and DOB. So essentially if you know the name and DOB of a child you could call in a access their patient account, change the phone number on file, change appointments, request medical records, obtain the social security number of the account holder etc. Here's how WE BOTH KNOW, you messed up: Since my interaction with this facility, the protection measures on accounts have since been increased. When you call in they are now asking for the name of the caller. The forms regarding accessing patient accounts, and HIPPA/Release of Information were updated, (seemingly to protect the business). Which now is an obvious attempt to CYA. Also, as a business, it is imperative that you get back to customers, disgruntled ones (and rightfully so). Instead, I have been avoided, my calls have not been returned and every single time I call the individuals I am attempting to contact are "in a meeting". This is the equivalent of stabbing me, twisting the knife, and then gaslighting me into believing I am even wrong for feeling the way I do. Fortunately for me, I have the time and patience to continuously attempt to get in contact with this establishment until someone finally gets back to me. I will speak to any and everyone who will listen until I receive a callback. read more

He is the worse DR we picked up. my daughter is suffering after we paid him $3000 and $2000 for extraction based on his wife's recommendations now he wants to start all over bt charging $300 for braces and $200 for open-ended adjustments (which means all the promises he made is no good). then after I confronted him for lousy work. He would not look at me when he was talking I asked him please look at me because he was lying and just wanted to rip off us God knows how much...... Then he take my money and now he said I bullied him by asking him to do the right work. My initial visit with my son was great. The Dentist and Dentist assistant were amazing and provided great service. My only issue was after when I scheduled my appointment with reception . I was contacted via text, to confirm my next appointment, which I texted back and confirmed. The day before my next appointment, someone called me and left voicemail stating that my appointment was canceled because I did not confirm. I did confirm and I have proof, so there was no reason for my appointment to be canceled. I've been waiting almost 3 weeks for my son's next appointment and he complains every day of tooth pain and this could've been avoided if reception was trained properly when booking appointments and confirming appointments, I saw in the reviews that there is somebody else who recently also has had issues with appointments been canceled. I should not have waited so long to leave this review! My daughter has been coming to Dr. Martinez for almost 3 years! Had her braces on and off already, we still see him for retainer checks. I came in for a free consultation about getting my upper teeth realigned as I..well..haven't worn my retainer and I relapsed.. Upon entering, the place looks very clean and receptionists were welcoming. Felt a little embarrassed at first but Nicole was very helpful and made me feel more at ease with her good sense of humor. The visit was quick; she answered all of my questions and explained the procedure clearly in a professional manner. They did an unbelievable job with my smile, and actually took me in as a patient when a lot of other ortho places referred me in circles. So I began bringing my son Messiah here (at the Bonanza location) he has autism and had some work done. He has never been able to get a full exam or X-ray without being out to sleep. Well finally at age 11 he was able to get an X-ray and his first actual cleaning without having to get out to sleep every other year!!! I'm so happy! The staff are amazing! Today I'm at the Sahara location and I found out the staff alternate between both locations which is fine with me! They have all been so friendly and patient with Messiah. They've been so amazing that I decided to switch my other two kids to them as well. So now my youngest two are seen here as well. I recommend Smile Squad to anyone with kids, they are amazing. The worst experience ever. Run run run fast. Never leave your child unattended here no matter the age. In response to the owners reply, his office manager or so called office manager crossed the harassment line in several ways. He had no business speaking to people like he does, especially someone that was just sitting in the lobby reading a article- not once did I speak to him, so why did HE get aggressive... that's what the real question should be. He should never have approached me with hostility when I literally was just reading a article. Maybe he has me confused with another parent. Your confirmation system is borderline aggressive though if you want to use that term in your response, confirming a appointment once is sufficient- also it's not a click of a button, you have to respond and type it out, not everyone is attached to their phone. Also, you did do clinical work and leaving work undone is illegal, not to mention his demeanor towards a minor when neither of us had a clue what he had lost his marbles over. Today, (6/20/19) I got my braces off!!! My experience over the last year has been great! Everyone in the office is super friendly and polite. You can tell Dr. Martinez and everyone there genuinely cares about you and your teeth! They have accommodated rescheduling and squeezed me in when I needed an emergency appointment. They also worked with me if I needed to push my monthly payment back. The office itself is clean and modern. I couldn't have asked for a more positive experience with my braces!!! Have been here almost 2yrs and in that time have had appointments messed up numerous times with just an oh we're sorry. I take off work use gas and come to my schedule appointments, I keep my appointment card to show at arrival and have been given times and days that are wrong and canceled on with no notice. Very poor training and scheduling. When this happened again today I was given the same sorry and a managers number. Smh. Dr. Martinez is the owner from information I looked up as the desk girls would not openly give the info out when first asked. It's unfortunate to be leaving this review based on the fact that this all started because I showed up and was approached by Lindsey and asked to take my three year old daughter to the back by herself- I don't believe I should have to explain how many red flags that would or should raise for anyone. I said I would not allow her being treated without her being within my eyesight and they accommodated. MONTHS later- my daughter's dad decides to call the office to complain to them unnecessarily but turns out they front desk staff Christina Medina from the W Sahara location thought it would be a good idea to use that as an excuse to tell my daughter's dad I "harassed them" and gave them a hard time- could it possibly get more unprofessional? Me asking to be in the room with my three year old is not harassment nor do I regret it. I called the office to get the staff member's name and location; one week later I get a phone call from someone who claimed to be a manager (wouldn't not specify and mumbled her name each time it was said) she said she was calling to clarify what happen and said I threatened her staff member- which I did not do, dismissed my daughter as a patient without truly giving me a chance to speak or answering my question. The incompetence of this staff is beyond me and the fact that me wanting to protect my daughter from the sick people in the world is something they are not okay with tells me all I need to know.
