The company canceled my original move at the last minute (The company canceled at 6:00 p.m. the night before, citing the driver "lost his license," asking me if I was comfortable letting him move my belongings without a valid license--an alarming, unprofessional question), then sent an untrained crew who arrived late, smoked near the open garage door, pushed furniture across floors without protection, and caused multiple damages to both property and belongings. Basic care and professionalism were completely lacking. I am uploading only a couple of photos here. Furniture and property were severely damaged: scratched walls and floors, severely dented appliances, grease-stained mattresses (yes, they charge you for the mattress covers, and then did not use them at all), and broken bookcases. A Christmas tree was snapped, refrigerator handle broken, and the truck poorly packed. I filed a formal complaint with the BBB, but the company did not follow through on what they stated in their response. No claims manager ever contacted me--directly or indirectly--despite their promise to do so. This entire process has shown me how unreliable and unprofessional this company is. Our moving crew consisted of Isaiah Parker, Renardo Thomas, and Brian Baham, and they went ABOVE AND BEYOND in every possible way. Let me start with our experience from the very first phone call. We worked with Scott Caulk, who was professional, courteous, and incredibly reassuring from the beginning. This move was emotional for my parents because they were leaving the home where my sister and I grew up. While other moving companies simply asked my mom to take pictures of the house so they could provide an estimate remotely, Scott immediately came to the house in person. His calm demeanor instantly helped ease my parents' anxiety. He walked through every room, every closet, and every item that needed to be moved. Within 24 hours, he provided a detailed quote - and it was significantly lower than the estimates from the other companies. Several competitors insisted the move would require two trucks. Scott confidently said one truck would be enough, and he was absolutely right. Everything fit perfectly. Whenever my mom had questions leading up to the move, Scott always responded quickly and never made her feel like she was inconveniencing him. That level of customer service meant a great deal. When moving day arrived, Isaiah, Renardo, and Brian could not have been kinder. They completed a thorough walkthrough with us and even asked about about items they saw but didn't mention, making sure nothing was left behind. They handled every piece of furniture with incredible care, making even the largest and heaviest items look easy to move. Everything was wrapped and protected. My father suffered a medical emergency related to congestive heart failure and had to be transported to the hospital by ambulance. In the middle of an already busy moving day, these three men showed incredible compassion. They immediately made sure nothing was blocking the EMTs, stayed focused on helping however they could, and genuinely cared about what our family was going through. Two of them even shared stories about their own parents' health struggles, reminding us that we weren't alone. Before they left with the truck, they stopped to ask if we had any update on my dad and let us know he was in their thoughts. I also called Scott and the Black Tie office because I wasn't even sure I would be able to make it back to Nashville in time to meet the truck the next day. Instead of worrying about logistics, they immediately responded with kindness and empathy, telling me not to worry and asking what they could do to help. The following morning in Nashville, the very first question they asked was, "How's your dad today?" That simple question meant more than they'll probably ever know. Everything I said about their professionalism loading the house in Memphis was equally true when they unloaded everything in Nashville. They were just as careful, efficient, and friendly. There were also a few additional items we decided to bring ourselves after the initial move, but want packers to wrap and pack for us. Since Isaiah, Renardo, and Brian were already familiar with the house, they were the crew Black Tie sent back to help - and once again went above and beyond. And once again, they asked how my father was doing. Moving is one of life's most stressful experiences, especially after living in the same home for more than three decades.
