The worked on our home during March but then finished in August due to some of the city shutdowns. At first, there were some minor issues, such as their new hires trying to avoid installing an outlet for a security camera (it was in the attic so the camera could be outdoors above the main entrance). After everything, we noticed that several mistakes were made, such as the two switches at the front were both connected to the outdoor lights, making the separate functions for the living room light and the outdoor lights pointless. We had to always leave the switches on and then find a light that could work with additional device switches. There was also an issue like this on one of the switches in the kichen, where we don't have separate control over the two different floodlights in the backyard and driveway. Annoying, but we dealt with it because we knew Marco had some new hires during the pandemic and things were just chaotic at the time. I am coming back after 6 years to leave this review because a couple of years ago, we noticed our lights would flicker. It has become worse and is now at the point where we cannot run power tools for working in our garage. We have had to request two second opinions on the electrical work to see what is going on, and both have shown that Marco's rewire was not what we paid for nor was it done well. Some of the electrical wiring was not replaced when we were charged $4500 for replacing all the wiring (we did all the patching on the walls and along with some additional outlets, which saved some money, and the full price was $4800). Marco and the guys he hired also left some of the kitchen wiring in tact that should have been replaced (even though it wasn't knob and tube, it was around 20-30 years old, and I had specifically requested for everything to be new given the poor state of the home from the previous owner who rented it out). The second opinions are certain that most of the wiring they can see in the panel and in the attic are much older than 6 years. We have also identfied the main problem as being with how the rewire was done. Far too many wires were bound together and distributed unevenly into the electrical box. Over several years, the wires are generating too much heat due to the poor techinque of how so many wires were bundled together and run to the same sections of the electrical panel. We are facing another expensive bill of thousands of dollars to make sure our home does not have fire risk and that we can run basic tools and appliances without any issues. The fact that he and his guys did not take a woman homeowner seriously from the start with some of the smaller things should have been enough of a red flag to fire them before they caused the damage they have. My husband mostly worked with them to try to get them to listen to us, but in the end, their work was shoddy and as family, friends, and consultants have explained to us, their sloppy work is the type that won't have issues until late enough that most people won't realize it was their fault. What a scam. And now that I see on other Yelp reviews that Marco sold the company, I wonder why he sold it. If Marco is still out there doing work, I'd avoid him just as much as it seems everyone should avoid Trout or the new buyers.

I wrote an email to inquire about it, and apparently the items in my order were processed "for drop ship direct from manufacturer" and the remaining item hasn't even been manufactured yet. If I'd known it was just going to be direct from manufacturer, I'd have gone to any of the dozens of other websites offering the same thing for lower cost and with free shipping. On the positive side, at least I've received part of my order so it isn't like they've just disappeared with my money, and customer service responded on the next business day so that's nice. I recently hired Smilys Electric to replace the electrical panel in one of my rental properties, as required by my insurance company, and I'm thrilled with the experience. Ismael from Smilys was very responsive from the very beginning. He came and checked out the panel and explained that it was a recalled product and why the insurance company was asking me to change it. Firstly, communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Ismael promptly responded to all my initial inquiry, provided a clear outline of the project scope, and answered all of my questions thoroughly. This level of communication instilled confidence in his expertise and commitment. He even went out of his way to communicate, and coordinate with the insurance company, the utility, the tenant, the city and me. That too when i had to travel for work. When it came to the actual work, he demonstrated good knowledge and understanding of the subject. He came on the scheduled day and got straight to work. Despite the complexity and sensitivity of the task, they tackled it with precision and expertise, ensuring that everything was installed correctly and up to code. He was also mindful to finish the rewiring quickly so the tenants had very minimal downtime without electricity. One aspect that particularly impressed me was his neat work. He had to demo the stucco around the panel to replace it. The demo was done just enough to get the job done and all the debris were promptly removed and disposed properly. The replacement and repair of the stucco was also of high quality and only looked like it had been worked on because of the minor difference between new paint and old. Not only was the quality of work top-notch, but he also completed the job within the promised timeframe. It did not look like they tried cutting any corners, which I truly appreciated. Furthermore, the value for the service provided was exceptional. His competitive pricing without compromising on quality, making it a good investment for my property. I definitely recommend Smilys for any electrical needs. Their professionalism, expertise, communication, and commitment to customer satisfaction was truly a welcome change from all the unreliable tradespeople we encounter these days. Like other reviewers, we found SamNoa through the SCE Charge Ready contractor list, and from my first conversation with Issaib, he was understanding, responsive, straightforward, and incredibly easy to work with. Issaib assured us he would handle everything from permits to processing the SCE rebate, and he did exactly that. I never had to do a single thing. Our project had a lot of moving parts with a few changes along the way and they handled everything without any hassle. At one point, they even came back an extra day to make sure I ended up with a better-fitting panel, rather than taking shortcuts or settling for something that wasn't quite right. The pricing was incredibly fair, and the quality of work was top-notch, with clean, well-organized wiring and everything done with great attention to detail. They also left the house spotless when they finished, cleaner than they found it actually! We had seen their great reviews, so we were hoping for a good experience, but SamNoa far exceeded our expectations, thanks in large part to the fantastic team Issaib has put together, so a huge thanks to Omar, Carlos and Adrian, who were total professionals, super friendly, and such a pleasure to work with. If you're looking for an electrical contractor who shows up on time, communicates well, charges a fair price, does high-quality work, and treats customers right, I highly recommend Issaib and the entire SamNoa team. Total construction time for the job was 2 days for the panel upgrade and 1 day for EV charger installation. Expect about 5-8 hours of no power for the main panel upgrade day. Throughout the entire process, Victor was communicative and thorough (he knows his stuff!). Victor did a great job working together with SCE and communicating on project dates/inspections/approvals. He gives great estimated times, so you won't be waiting around for hours for service. His team is also very knowledgeable and polite.
