My husband and I hired Inception to rewire our 1924 home and add some new lights and outlets back…read morein 2020. The worked on our home during March but then finished in August due to some of the city shutdowns. At first, there were some minor issues, such as their new hires trying to avoid installing an outlet for a security camera (it was in the attic so the camera could be outdoors above the main entrance). After everything, we noticed that several mistakes were made, such as the two switches at the front were both connected to the outdoor lights, making the separate functions for the living room light and the outdoor lights pointless. We had to always leave the switches on and then find a light that could work with additional device switches. There was also an issue like this on one of the switches in the kichen, where we don't have separate control over the two different floodlights in the backyard and driveway. Annoying, but we dealt with it because we knew Marco had some new hires during the pandemic and things were just chaotic at the time. I am coming back after 6 years to leave this review because a couple of years ago, we noticed our lights would flicker. It has become worse and is now at the point where we cannot run power tools for working in our garage. We have had to request two second opinions on the electrical work to see what is going on, and both have shown that Marco's rewire was not what we paid for nor was it done well. Some of the electrical wiring was not replaced when we were charged $4500 for replacing all the wiring (we did all the patching on the walls and along with some additional outlets, which saved some money, and the full price was $4800). Marco and the guys he hired also left some of the kitchen wiring in tact that should have been replaced (even though it wasn't knob and tube, it was around 20-30 years old, and I had specifically requested for everything to be new given the poor state of the home from the previous owner who rented it out). The second opinions are certain that most of the wiring they can see in the panel and in the attic are much older than 6 years. We have also identfied the main problem as being with how the rewire was done. Far too many wires were bound together and distributed unevenly into the electrical box. Over several years, the wires are generating too much heat due to the poor techinque of how so many wires were bundled together and run to the same sections of the electrical panel. We are facing another expensive bill of thousands of dollars to make sure our home does not have fire risk and that we can run basic tools and appliances without any issues. The fact that he and his guys did not take a woman homeowner seriously from the start with some of the smaller things should have been enough of a red flag to fire them before they caused the damage they have. My husband mostly worked with them to try to get them to listen to us, but in the end, their work was shoddy and as family, friends, and consultants have explained to us, their sloppy work is the type that won't have issues until late enough that most people won't realize it was their fault. What a scam. And now that I see on other Yelp reviews that Marco sold the company, I wonder why he sold it. If Marco is still out there doing work, I'd avoid him just as much as it seems everyone should avoid Trout or the new buyers.

I asked tons of questions about the installation process, warranty and of course how long the process would take (it was quick). Truly felt like I was the only customer in this process. Communication was timely and at one point in the process prior to committing I asked Amanda to see the type of lights in action. Amanda obliged as did her customers. My request was very last minute and Amanda jumped into action; contacting previous customers so they could turn on their lights (some weren't even home but turned on the lights remotely so we could do a drive by). What we love about the system: lots of pre-programmed light displays or scenes, ability to modify and save your own scenes, ability to turn on remotely and of course the ability to auto program based on the holiday or activity of you choice. Had one minor issue with the system going offline and the team jumped into action to resolve it remotely. The best part of the system is I'm never putting up another light and if I ever sell this house some family is going love the fact that this house is holiday ready. Highly recommend Amanda for her thoroughness, patience and follow up. Oh and btw, we did 3 quarters of the home and fully expect to do the rest of the home next year for a full wrap.

Like other reviewers, we found SamNoa through the SCE Charge Ready contractor list, and from my first conversation with Issaib, he was understanding, responsive, straightforward, and incredibly easy to work with. Issaib assured us he would handle everything from permits to processing the SCE rebate, and he did exactly that. I never had to do a single thing. Our project had a lot of moving parts with a few changes along the way and they handled everything without any hassle. At one point, they even came back an extra day to make sure I ended up with a better-fitting panel, rather than taking shortcuts or settling for something that wasn't quite right. The pricing was incredibly fair, and the quality of work was top-notch, with clean, well-organized wiring and everything done with great attention to detail. Since we were in the midst of a heatwave, I decided to have Emanuel just move forward with the job without bidding it out. If he wasn't gouging on the original breaker repair, I was confident he was charging me a competitive price on the panel replacement. Emanuel worked tirelessly for 3 days and corrected my Tesla charging station as well which apparently wasn't installed to code previously. It was also discovered that one of my electrical receptacles wasn't working-- likely an undiscovered, unrelated issue. Knowing that I initially called for what I thought was a small repair that ended up being something major, he replaced the receptacle for me in goodwill. Well I had researched around 7-8 electricians on Yelp & other electricians that I personally know, and I landed with Jason at AES. Jason was 2nd company to come and give me a quote, and he was very responsive, knowledgeable, and straightforward. If I leaned on certain idea, he would tell me if its doable and tried to complete the job as I requested. Some labor professionals (electricians, contractors, painter, etc) tend to have strong opinions of their own and suggest their way but Jason listened and was willing to do his best to accommodate my request as long as it was reasonable. His prices are more than fair, excellent customer service, on time arrival, and very detailed/fine electrical work. He brought his team early AM to complete the EV charging station installation & replacing entire circuit breaker before the sunset. I was very pleased with his work, and I highly recommend anyone who needs electrical work. He does not provide patching drywalls & paint color matching, but i learned that many electrician companies doesn't provide dry patching/color match painting. I initially reached out to Juan via Yelp, and he was quick to respond. Because I have a busy work schedule, I appreciated that he was willing to come out on a Saturday to provide an estimate. We received estimates from Juan as well as two other companies. It was clear from speaking with him that, compared to the others, he was more knowledgeable and confident in completing the work in a timely manner. Moreover, his quote was comparable to the others and significantly less than I expected to pay. Juan scheduled a day and time to complete the work, arrived promptly, and finished everything according to schedule. They were also very patient with my difficult mother-in-law, who was the only person available to be present during the job. After the work was completed, Juan handled the inspection process and did not collect payment until everything was finished and officially signed off. I cannot say enough good things about Juan and J Power Electric, and I will definitely contact them again for any future electrical needs

Like other reviewers, we found SamNoa through the SCE Charge Ready contractor list, and from my first conversation with Issaib, he was understanding, responsive, straightforward, and incredibly easy to work with. Issaib assured us he would handle everything from permits to processing the SCE rebate, and he did exactly that. I never had to do a single thing. Our project had a lot of moving parts with a few changes along the way and they handled everything without any hassle. At one point, they even came back an extra day to make sure I ended up with a better-fitting panel, rather than taking shortcuts or settling for something that wasn't quite right. The pricing was incredibly fair, and the quality of work was top-notch, with clean, well-organized wiring and everything done with great attention to detail. They also left the house spotless when they finished, cleaner than they found it actually! Total construction time for the job was 2 days for the panel upgrade and 1 day for EV charger installation. Expect about 5-8 hours of no power for the main panel upgrade day. Throughout the entire process, Victor was communicative and thorough (he knows his stuff!). Victor did a great job working together with SCE and communicating on project dates/inspections/approvals. He gives great estimated times, so you won't be waiting around for hours for service. His team is also very knowledgeable and polite.
