I contracted to rent an aerator for my lawn on Monday. I asked her if they clean out the tines after each use. People have different grass , some have Bermuda hybrid. I have fescue and would not want my lawn to get contaminated with another variety. To my surprise, Kim said they do not clean the tines out. I still contracted with them, being just down the road and a local Pittsboro business. I woke up Monday morning , got my coffee and the aerator was sitting n my lawn. This was about 8:30 am. Great!!!!!! I checked out the machine and it was dirty. The tines and wedged in the wheel hub were grass, weeds , etc. I took the hose and removed all the debris . Cleaned it up so I would not contaminate my yard. The aerator was kinda goose. Either it was full bore or very slow , nothing in between the throttle. I did make due and went slow. Got good plugs and the job was done. I did clean the aerator up and called them. They came and picked it up. I do like the company, with a little extra time, they could clean up the machines. It took me maybe 10 to 15 minutes with a hose cleaning it. That is why my rating went from a 5 star to a 3. I have rented aerators many times in the past. From Town & Country , Home Depot. They clean all their rental equipment when it is returned. I suggest that Pittsboro Outdoor Power Equipment take time to do that also. The people are very pleasant and they have a nice business.

The colorful fall leaves were a perfect backdrop. I assume they loan and/or sell sculptures, because some of the signs didn't have the corresponding art on the display base. My mother's death was a terrible experience here. I regret ever allowing her to go there. The staff…read morewere discourteous and nasty. They showed no empathy or compassion. They were condescending towards family members and secretive. My mother went there for respite, looking forward to it even, and through their neglect, ended up dying a week later. They lacked honesty and transparency and covered up the truth. She was so drugged up she never got to say goodbye to loved ones. She died in pain and fear. After her 5 day respite a family member pleaded with them to keep her through the weekend for medical observation because she had declined so rapidly there. They refused. She was dumped on an elderly family member in far worse shape than she was when she went to respite. She was in terrible pain, could not swallow, could not eat or drink or take her medication, and was confused. They provided no backup help nor did they provide pain medications or instruction as to how deal with her increased pain. She screamed and moaned and begged for mercy for almost 3 days until a visiting nurse got them to take her back. She was kept in a coma on morphine until she died 3 days later. The staff also seemed to lack cultural sensitivity to those with different religions or beliefs. My mother had a terrible death there and I regret ever trusting them or believing in their philosophy. Please do your research and homework before you send any frail elderly person here. I truly hope I can save one person from going through what my mother went through.
