After my friend's recommendation, I called Blue Fox Roofing to inquire about an estimate for a complete roof replacement. During our initial conversation, I informed him that the company that was already working on other projects on my property was fully expected to handle the roofing as well. When I called, he assured me that he could do a better job and even offered to include some extras if I chose his company. I mentioned the other company and that my insurance would cover the new roof. I provided him with the insurance company's price for all roofing-related work. He was fine with this and expressed his willingness to complete the job immediately. Since he was a professional roofer, he assured me that the job would be done correctly. I provided him with all the details that the insurance company had given me, and he reiterated that he was the right person for the job. However, during our conversation with Jay, my wife signed a contract with the other company without knowing that I was seeking this alternative bid. Consequently, I found myself under contract with the other company. Jay informed me that I had three days to cancel that contract, and if I did, he could start the job immediately. After having several conversations with my wife, I decided to cancel the first contract. The next morning, I called Jay and left a message stating that the previous contract had been canceled and that we were ready to proceed with his company. I asked him to let me know what steps we needed to take to set the job start date. I did not hear from Jay for over six hours when I called him again and explained that I was ready to move forward with his company. To my surprise, he responded that there was no reason to return my first call because the job did not pay enough for him to be interested in it. He even suggested that if I could convince the insurance company to increase its payment, he would call me back. I was shocked and felt betrayed. Now, without a roofer, I had burned the first bridge and foolishly believed in his lies and deceitfulness. Today, I am without a roof or roofer, but I am determined to find a solution. However, I will never work with companies like Blue Fox Roofing, NC. I wanted to warn others about the potential pitfalls they may encounter when dealing with this company.

DTB C & M produced a great facelift for old built-in cabinets and bookshelves in our condominium in Eastover, built in the 1970's. DBT refaced the bookshelves and replaced the cabinet doors, giving them a modern, refreshed look. They also removed the dated chair rail moldings and repaired the scars on the drywall. The work was done very professionally, with attention to the details. They were very easy to work with, kept the work site clean and draped, and removed all trash daily. They always responded to out our messages and additional requests in a timely manner. The owner, Mr. Dwayne Bobo, is most pleasant to work with. He and his crew arrived on time or kept us informed when problems arose that caused changes to the schedule. Unexpected problems or delays almost always occur with repair and remodeling jobs, but 'Bobo', as he likes to be called, always kept us informed about everything we needed to know. He was especially concerned with health and safety for us and others in our condo building, in this time of COVID-19 virus. He and his employees always wore masks when they were near us and when they were in the common areas of the building. We hired him two months ago to do a variety of things to our 100-yr old home in Cow Hollow: -rebuild front steps & entryway, including installing a new front door -install crown moulding on our main floor -rebuild deck in backyard -repair and replace dry rot at various locations on exterior of the house -a variety of smaller projects throughout the house As you can tell, it was a variety of interior/exterior projects, and Rich absolutely hit it out of the park. In the three years that we've owned our home, I'd been through more than 5 contractors before we found Rich. I can't recommend him highly enough. Let me tell you specifically why: 1. Attention to detail & quality of work -The finish work that Rich does is as good as I've ever seen. Every night we would come home and there would be no evidence that Rich had been there that day - no dust, no specks of paint, no tools left behind. Just the evidence of progress made on the job. Awesome. 2. Trustworthiness -We left Rich with a key to our house, not only while we were gone at work every day, but while we were away in Europe for two weeks 3. Of course the estimate was more than $2000 more than what the guy told us in person it would be when he came out. I called and Alex picked up immediately. Very polite on the phone and booked an appointment with him in two days. Alex arrived early, did a walk around the entire house, told me there were 2 additional areas that needed repair, he walked me outside and showed me the areas. This was awesome to show my husband all the pictures (roof is about 30 feet high and peaked so we cannot access).
