At first ABC seemed like a great value.. low cost of installation for new gutters and guards…read more Unfortunately, now that some time passed, the craftsmanship and quality are not holding up. When contacted, ABC decided to deflect and blame the roof (keep in mind no issue for years before the change in gutters) as the issue. Upon requesting them to come out and take a look to fix the issue they responded it would come at a cost.. which I agreed is fine. After several attempts to get someone onsite to diagnose and repair the issue they stopped responding to me. I've since asked other professionals to review and diagnose the issue. As one can see from the photos, a drainage issue was created by installing the gutter guard under the shingle and above the drip edge which created a bump/gap and does not allow water to roll down into the gutter. The issue is exacerbated now that it's had a few years to present itself as shown by the dark staining on the plywood. I now must pay out of pocket to fix the issue at a cost equal to or greater than what ABC originally charged me for installation of all new gutters.

Most of the companies were nice to deal with while one was an absolute horror. The one thing that these other companies did not address that Joe with Jon's Seamless Gutters did was address the issue of how to direct the water after it came out of the downspout. This item was very important to me as the home was having a water intrusion problem and Joe, without any prompting from me went over this in his evaluation. The estimate that I received from Joe wasn't the highest nor was it the lowest but due to Joe's attention to detail it is what made me decide to go with Jon's Seamless Gutters. After my friend's recommendation, I called Blue Fox Roofing to inquire about an estimate for a complete roof replacement. During our initial conversation, I informed him that the company that was already working on other projects on my property was fully expected to handle the roofing as well. When I called, he assured me that he could do a better job and even offered to include some extras if I chose his company. I mentioned the other company and that my insurance would cover the new roof. I provided him with the insurance company's price for all roofing-related work. He was fine with this and expressed his willingness to complete the job immediately. Since he was a professional roofer, he assured me that the job would be done correctly. I provided him with all the details that the insurance company had given me, and he reiterated that he was the right person for the job. However, during our conversation with Jay, my wife signed a contract with the other company without knowing that I was seeking this alternative bid. Consequently, I found myself under contract with the other company. Jay informed me that I had three days to cancel that contract, and if I did, he could start the job immediately. After having several conversations with my wife, I decided to cancel the first contract. The next morning, I called Jay and left a message stating that the previous contract had been canceled and that we were ready to proceed with his company. I asked him to let me know what steps we needed to take to set the job start date. I did not hear from Jay for over six hours when I called him again and explained that I was ready to move forward with his company. To my surprise, he responded that there was no reason to return my first call because the job did not pay enough for him to be interested in it. He even suggested that if I could convince the insurance company to increase its payment, he would call me back. I was shocked and felt betrayed. Now, without a roofer, I had burned the first bridge and foolishly believed in his lies and deceitfulness. Today, I am without a roof or roofer, but I am determined to find a solution. However, I will never work with companies like Blue Fox Roofing, NC. I wanted to warn others about the potential pitfalls they may encounter when dealing with this company.

The gutters on one of my rental properties has been needing repair work for some time. Between a contractor that ran his truck into one of the downspouts and the constant clogging of the open air gutters that have accumulated so much debris that long branches of plant growth had taken form in many parts of the roofline gutters. I was in a bit of a bind in trying to secure good quality work in short order, knowing that there would be upcoming rain, pests that take advantage of clogged drainage, and someone that was well versed and expedient in the trade. That said, I came across "Brothers Gutters" based on the one review on Yelp. Which is a shame given all that I mentioned above. When I gave a call, they answered right away and visited the property to assess what was needed and give me a quote for materials and labor. It is a rental property, and unlike many landlords, if you view and treat your properties as though they were your own personal home, you will find golden tenants to live within them. I think this company (owner - Joshua Chisom) has failed on more than just one front…read more I hired this company to install a new gutter/downspout on one side of house, and to make repairs and adjustments (including installing a splash guard) at several locations on the existing gutters. Location for repairs/adjustments were pointed out in advance. The gutter installer who came to work, per his statement, has worked in this trade since 2008. When the work was completed he told me not to test the work immediately after since sealant was applied. Next day I discovered the following: -Newly installed splash guard diverted water right over the top of gutter -Leaking at one end cup was not fixed -While fixing one problem at a location that required an adjustment, the gutter installer opened up a gap in the bottom of the corner piece. This spot was leaking now. On the 2nd visit the gutter installer, among other things, replaced the corner piece - the next day showed leakage on both sides of this replaced corner piece. The gutter installer has not come anymore. Now I had a newly created leakage problem that still had to be addressed. This is where this company failed: 1.Attitude - installer, generally speaking, did not care if he fixed my problems or not (whereas, when I pay, I expect someone to fix my problems). For him it was like - I worked on this and that, and now I can leave. On his 2nd visit when I asked "Do you guaranty that there will be no leaking" he said "I'm not ashamed to come to fix if it leaks". He failed to come to fix leaks. To mention, I had a pleasure to be called "dude" by this tradesman in face to face interactions. 2.Quality of work - the new gutter/downspout combo did not have a drop outlet. I believe it's considered a substandard work. The size of the downspout was not the one that was listed on the estimate. Few nails were left in a gutter. A newly installed splash guard that was diverting water over top of gutter had to be re-positioned on the lip of gutter during the 2nd visit. Replaced corner piece leaked on both ends. All in all, quality was not there. 3.Integrity - This company does not care if they perform the work they have contracted. Seems they do not care about the quality of work they give. I filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau, and asked to give me $200 partial refund for the leakage problem that they have created. Owner Joshua Chisom agreed to provide a refund but never actually made a refund. There is no integrity here!
