As soon as the installers left, I noticed that they missed a couple of pieces of molding in the kitchen, so I immediately called Jen at the Set-N-Stone office. I told her about this and then I also asked her why there was no extra flooring. I told her that I wanted extra pieces if something happens to a plank and I need to replace it and my flooring is no longer available. She told me that they do not measure for extra flooring, but she would order me a complimentary box. I called Jen multiple times from March 22nd until July asking when the installers were going to return to finish the molding. Her answers always were, "they're busy and I'll call you." She never called me back. When I did talk to her (because I kept calling her as well as stopping at the office), she told me the floor was on backorder. On July 5, she scheduled the installer to finish the molding. Nobody showed up as scheduled, and there was no phone call explaining why. I called Jen about two hours after they were scheduled to be at my house to find out if they were still coming. Her response was, "the installer's truck broke down." It was on this date she told me that the box of flooring was in her boss's truck. After more phone calls and visits to their office, finally on July 17th the installer showed up and finished the molding. It took him all of 15 minutes to cut two pieces of molding and nail them down. I waited four months for this! Jen had told me that when the installer came on July 17th, he would also bring the extra box of flooring. Not only did he not bring the extra box of flooring, he knew nothing about it. Now with the molding finished, I continued to call Jen for several weeks to find out where the flooring was. She had one excuse after another as to why I did not get the flooring. On August 16, Jen told me the box that was supposedly in her boss's truck was damaged and she had to reorder it. The box was supposed to come in two days later, and she would call me. I never heard from her again, and I got tired of her many lies. On September 25 I did some research and found a flooring company in Florida, NY that had my floors. They ordered me a box of flooring so that I can have extra in case I need to replace a plank or two. I had the flooring in less than two weeks. This company was wonderful and very accommodating. I wish I had gone to them in the first place. If Set-N-Stone had ordered the extra complimentary box of flooring Jen had promised me, I would not have had to pay another company $350.00. Jen would not have had to order an extra box in the first place if she had ordered extra flooring for the job. After six months of fighting with Set-N-Stone, the situation was not resolved, forcing me to resolve it myself by going elsewhere and spending more money. Ideally, I would like to see Set-N-Stone refund me the $350.00 that I spent on the extra box. I also want other people to know how this company operates and save them the frustration that they caused me. The company lies to you, they don't follow through, sometimes they don't show up, and sometimes they show up late. This is no way to run a business. Potential customers beware!
