You can really see a difference between our front lawn and the city-owned field of weeds that adjoins our property. The backyard originally had many dandelions and within weeks of our first treatment was dandelion-free. The backyard was uber lush green all last year and came back patchy at first this year (I have no idea why), but filled in very nicely by the end of spring. TruGreen also had their tree/shrub service come by once (a month ago) and leave a free diagnosis of some pest problems he spotted on our shrubs and offer an additional service. Overall, having Trugreen come by once a month is great for peace of mind and has visibly improved our lawn. I have never tried another lawn care company. If you're shopping for a service, I think they all use essentially the same commercial-grade products. TruGreen sends a bill each time that specifies what each treatment was (fertilizer, sulfur, weed control, pest control), including the name, purpose, and amount of product (love this!). The only thing I can really criticize at Trugreen is still our initial salesman, as mentioned previously. He wasn't entirely knowledgable about the service he was selling. There are some species of weeds that no modern products can really eradicate. But Mr. Salesman asserted that Trugreen's products would eliminate them. I was surprised and hopeful - you never know when technology might advance and solve your problem overnight. But no. We have some weeds that no modern weed control products can do much about. The actual workers who service the lawn know this, though. We can ask them questions anytime they come, and they can identify the species of weed every time, and they'll tell us honestly if it's a weed that basically has to be pulled by hand to eradicate completely. It's only the initial salesman we met once who wasn't the greatest lawn care professional. Keep this in mind and know ahead of time what services you want to pay for (lawn, pest, mosquito, etc.) and how much you want to spend, and if the price is right, I don't think you can go wrong with TruGreen. On the whole they have been a great lawn care service.

On July 21 I was told a check had been mailed. This was after I was told it was submitted back to debit card, and then was told that transaction was declined. Hogwash. So today was the day of reckoning. Was on hold for 38 minutes. transferred twice only to be told my service was never canceled and they would expedite a tech to evaluate the yard. I said, I evaluated the yard and it looks horrid. Then got asked, did my mailing address change. No same one for 32 years Same address yall came to service. So we call that the proverbial runaround. Leo is really taking it upon himself to take good care of my yard and he's quick to reply, professional, and just a sweetheart. I'm not in town often after he's worked on the yard, so he will send pictures when he is done, which I didn't ask him to do but he understands the value of showing his work and communicating with clients. This is a big value add and his rates are quite reasonable. I even asked him to give me a quote for some front and backyard improvements so I hope to expand the scope of his work at my house soon because I think his quote is very fair.
