By the looks of it, Living Social is giving him a lot of business and unfortunately he doesn't have the crew or organization skills to handle the volume of work. At first, it was extremely hard to even get a confirmed time to paint my place once Nathan came in and gave me an estimate. There was a lot of talk and promises to get back to me ASAP which never happened until I nagged over and over to please put something on the calendar. I don't think this business has a calendar. Appointments are handled via text and need constant babysitting/reminders to make sure that they actually happen. Don't get me wrong, Nathan is a nice person but is simply incapable of executing. He told me that he didn't have enough people to do the work and that he was hiring more contractors. I was annoyed but content thinking that it must mean his company does great work. Right? Wrong. When I finally had the appointment finalIzed, 2 guys showed up who clearly did not want to be there. They took breaks to smoke and relax and complained about the amount of work they have to do. Like what? Weren't you hired to do the work and aren't you getting paid for it? Mind you, it's not a 5 bedroom mansion we are talking about. I have a 1 bedroom apartment that is 810 sq ft. Ok, complain away as long as the quality of work was good, right? Wrong again. I am attaching the pics of their work for you to see, just so that you know I'm not just venting. I have hardwood floors and it was splattered with paint because they didn't have enough coverings to protect the floor. In fact they arrived with NO floor covers at all and had to leave to bring them. What painting pros get to the work site without basic necessities to do the job? The paint drops were alsoon my bathroom window, tiles and sinks. They also messed up my coat rack because instead of taking it off the wall, they decided to paint around it and of course painted directly on the mahogany wood of the rack. When I noticed what they did, they promptly removed the rack and tried to remove said paint and when all of it didn't come off, they gave me an advice on how to remove it myself. There were so many spots on walls that weren't painted through, I stopped counting and pointing them out. By 5pm one of the contractors faded entirely and just sat there talking about what he's going to do when he gets home and what type of food he's going to eat. So I paid them, saw them out and immersed myself in paint removal off the floor and other surfaces. I texted Nathan the next day and told him about my experience. I sent him the pics of the shoddy work. He appeared to be furious and straight out said "You're absolutely right. I just don't see how they did such crappy work... I'm going to give them a call to see what hell... That's just pure laziness and carelessness." I was being understanding and told him that he should probably reconsider hiring these guys again if he cares about the reputation of his business as much as he says he does. He promised to come out and fix everything as soon as possible. We scheduled for Friday afternoon and... I didn't hear from him. Two Friday's later, I sent him a text and told him that he obviously doesn't care about the company's reputation and that I don't even want to deal with this anymore. Needless to say, I do not recommend this business to anyone. Stay away.

Everyone gave me an estimate and what they would do to fix the walls and ceilings that the plumbers ripped out to fix the situation. All estimates were a laundry list and a price. Not Lime painting. And yes they are not just painting! Matt took pictures and gave me a pdf report with pictures and a full description of what would be done in every area. The estimate was great. Pretty horrible experience here from the start. I also confirmed a day in advance that he would be there but still I wound up wasting time sitting around waiting for Scott to never show up. I should have walked away after the stood me up the first time but I decided to give him another chance as he came recommended, that was my mistake. While I cannot speak to his work because he never even showed up, I can say that if he is unwilling to show up to prescheduled appointments he should not be taking new clients. Be careful when attempting to work with Scott or he may no show, just like he did to me twice.

For all of my home-repair needs I look for 5 star reviews on Yelp so I started there again when I…read moreneeded the ceilings in a couple of rooms in my house patched and re-painted. I contacted a few Yelp guys and they were all either unresponsive or booked for months on end. One of the guys was nice enough to refer me to Scott and I couldn't be more grateful. Scott responded to my inquiry immediately, set up a time that was convenient for me to come over, and give me a quote. The extremely convenient thing is he was able to do the painting while I was out of town. He was very candid offering to give me references and making the excellent point that he's trying to make a living on his one man business which is good enough for me! We got home after our trip and everything was not only perfectly painted, but he also wiped down all of the surfaces and it was almost as if he wasn't even there (basically). He also finished the project for less than he quoted me, as someone else said, and that was nice too. I will certainly be using him again once my sister and I can agree on paint colors beyond the white ceilings :)

I needed walls, doors, baseboards all done and we were able to settle on a fair price and I scheduled for the following week since I was also getting my floors buffed and stained. During this time, Edgar recommended some paint colors and he was able to provide a COI as required by my building. It was easy to get a hold of him via text and he was always prompt in responding. Edgar arrived with all supplies (tarp, paint, caulk, rollers etc) as we had agreed upon. He spent the majority of the first day in patching and repairing and setting up for the actual paint job. The next day I stopped by to see the progress and I certainly appreciated his attention to detail. Edgar worked alone since his crew was on another job site but it didn't matter since I was in no rush and he ended up doing a great job by himself. In addition to painting, Solano does perform home remodeling too. Based on my experience, I definitely recommend Edgar for your home improvement needs.
