NP Don Nguyen (female) is very cold-hearted and disgusting towards patients with mental health…read moreproblems. I came to see NP Nguyen a year ago because I could no longer function due to my depression. She diagnosed me with Major Depressive Disorder and increased my anti-depressant dosage and eventually referred me to a psychiatrist while I also began seeking treatment with a therapist. However, I received a letter in the mail from my insurance which stated that NP Nguyen's psychiatry referral was denied (some medical lingo similar to that). A month later, I got into a severe car accident on the freeway and by the grace of God, I walked away with bruises and scratches. I finally hit rock bottom and sought a medical leave of absence for work and school. When I saw NP Nguyen at my appointment, she asked why I hadn't made an appointment with the psychiatrist and called me "IRRESPONSIBLE." She actually told me to my face: "Don't you think it is irresponsible that you still haven't made an appointment with a psychiatrist when your job requires getting reports on time to social workers and attorneys?" I then showed her the psychiatry referral and said that it seems that they have denied the referral. NP Nguyen went out with the letter to ask her colleagues what the letter meant bc even she did not know. She ended up figuring out what the letter meant but did not acknowledge or apologize for the remark she made of calling me 'irresponsible.' NP Nguyen really thought it was okay to put down another human being who hated herself so much already from this major depressive episode... She really kicked me down when I was already at rock bottom. Words of advice: Steer clear of this office, there are many kind providers in the surrounding area who will not talk down to their patients.

He always does the right thing in light of the mess that the insurance companies have screwed up care for patients! If been seeing him over 20 years now and I can't say enough good about him! He is hard to get in to see but I don't care he's my doctor! The office is nice and clean and the staff under constant change. He has other doctors and PA's including Wendy and she's a PA but better than most other doctors I've ever seen. If you want top notch care go here! My rating is 5 Stars!

I have been a patient of Dr Davis for about 4 years, although I am not one that goes to the doctor…read moreall of the time. But when I have gone, he would not listen to all of my concerns and I felt like I was back at Kaiser where the doctors have a stopwatch attitude. I used to go to him for my bi-annual physical, but he started billing an extra $99 over the $25 co-pay to deal with them. First real concern, I suffered kidney stones, he couldn't do anything but refer me to a urologist. Feel free to read that review. It was a really good referral... NOT! Then, the last time I went in for an ongoing dermatological concern he ordered some labs, oddly enough it seems he padded the labs, as I can think of no reason for him to run a battery of STD tests, HIV/AIDS, Hep, and others. I questioned this as I knew that I was negative for them for I am chaste. Anyway, so for the tests that were 'useful' they turned out not to be so useful. When I went to the dermatologist (separate review), she wanted to see the labs. So on her stationery they faxed a request to his office... I am waiting... she comes in about 10 minutes later with the results... a fax came back with my last name scrawled on it, the doctors stamp in the middle of the page, followed by "No records on file" I was shocked. I called on my cell phone and went off on the guy that happened to answer the phone, I was a royal a$$, but 30 seconds later I heard the fax machine ring and she came in with several pages of lab results. I spoke of usefulness, I am by no means a medical professional, nor do I understand what most of these results mean, but I can say that she said they were useless and unrelated to my concern, and ordered another battery of labs. Sorry, got off on a secant, so when said labs came in they said to come in to the office for an appointment. So I did, I took off work early and raced down to his office to make the appointment they assigned. I got there like 15 minutes late, because of traffic. I checked in, they didn't know why I was there... So the girl went in the back, got the results, the original of the same page I received in the mail, which said everything was normal AND to be sure and keep the appointment. So she hands me the paper and proudly announces that she saved me the $25 co-pay. I asked, that's it? she went back and asked Dr Davis then came back with the report, he says you are healthier than he is. Have a nice night. So after leaving work early, rushing, and fighting traffic to get there I get handed the same piece of paper I am holding a copy of. Nothing addressed about any of the concerns I had, nothing else about the tests, nothing whatsoever.

The facility is great... The doctors are great…read more.. The only problem I have is that waiting... When I have a 3pm appointment, I always show up 15 minutes early, and end up waiting until 3:30 - 3:40 to be taken back to a room... Then I can wait in there 10 - 15 minutes longer in the room before I am seen. I completely understand personalized care based on each unique case requires a little more time... But, other medical specialists I've been to seem to somehow do a much better job of scheduling patients so they don't have to blow a good chunk of their day waiting. Dr, Brunner and Nurse Practitioner Wendy Gross are great... I've been a patient of Dr. Brunner's for 10+ years, and I am very happy with the service provided... I only wish there was a quicker way to be seen.

This place is the worst.... first of all, if you were ever dying or in dire need of medical care…read more.. you would definitely die by the time you get someone on the phone. The office staff is barely civil, let alone helpful...They never have any openings for appointments... even when you're super sick! I don't understand how this is possible as there are at least 5 doctors who work there! When you finally get back to the doctor, after an hour or so wait, when the waiting area is literally deserted... you will have a doctor or nurse prac. who will not even listen to your symptoms or concerns! I was prescribed medicine that made me extremely ill and I asked the nurse prac if I could be given anti-nausea medicine to go with the prescription so I could take it and get better... her response was "just deal with the nausea... surely it's not that bad." ummmmm yes, yes it is that bad or I would have not waited 30 minutes on the phone for someone to freaking answer my question! As you can see from my many other Yelp reviews, I never, ever give a one star review... so you have to be pretty bad for me to do that. Do yourself a favor Yelpers, Find another doctor! This place is simply the worst.

One thing I really appreciate about Carbon Health is that you can make appointments. We didn't have one, but we still didn't have to wait long at all. Anyone who has been to urgent care knows those visits can easily turn into a several-hour wait, so this was a pleasant surprise. This was our first visit, and I was impressed with how thorough everyone was. The medical assistant asked all the necessary health questions, which I especially appreciated because my daughter has a unique medical history. The doctor then came in, explained everything clearly, and my daughter was able to get her chest X-ray right away. Overall, I have no complaints. The staff was efficient, thorough, and made what could have been a stressful visit a smooth experience.

I've had strep before and received much less efficient and helpful care at other places, so it was refreshing. This urgent care has a spacious and clean lobby, and they were blasting the A/C on this 95° day, so that was nice. Check-in was simple and while they did accept my Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, I still had to pay $100 out-of-pocket, but that's just my stupid insurance for you. All of the typical measurements and tests were quick, and the strep swab was the least unpleasant I've ever dealt with. The provider came in with the results five minutes later and was so friendly; she showed real concern for how bad my case was. Usually, I try to avoid urgent cares at all costs because I don't typically have good experiences. However, I would totally recommend this one! Glad a friend told me about it.
