Accurate rating description for two starts is "could've been better." This place only has PA/NP and no MD on site. They have the capability to draw blood and send to lab for stat orders. Unfortunately, what they lack ends up a longer list. The first MA was unable to get a vial of blood and said someone else would try on my other arm with a straight needed (vs butterfly). She left me without even putting a bandaid on the arm she poked and I had to struggle to put the bandaid on one handed while still maintaining pressure on it. Next MA comes and draws blood and when she's done she yelps I don't have a cotton ball (to put on the vein she just drew out of) and my blood is just pooling while she puts a bandaid on. Luckily I'm well versed enough to know I needed to put pressure on my bandaid. The NP who saw me was new to (per the MA) she really didn't put my mind at ease. Her expertise and knowledge seemed lacking based on the answers to my questions. First thing she asked me was, why are you here and not the ER? I told her my PCP sent me here because she didn't feel it necessitated a ER visit. She wanted me to be evaluated by YOU to assess and in your medical opinion, do I need to be seen further or what course of action next? She swabbed me for flu and covid and I verbally questioned her because I had isolated severe GI symptoms. She said sometimes those present wither GI only. Does it? I don't know, I'm not an MD but I'm also someone who works in healthcare and it didn't feel like the proper procedure. When I asked if she would be ordering any stool samples, I heard through my closed door "do we do that?". Ok, she's new, I'll give her that...but she comes back in and says "if you'd like to have the order for stool testing I'm happy to give that to you." Am I the md or am I the patient? I came here for your professional medical opinion! Do I?! So after I kindly communicated that I am looking to her for her opinion as the expert whether or not my symptoms necessitate an order, she still doesn't quite give me a direct answer! I haven't been to that many urgent cares, but I've come to see a trend that many of the urgent cares that are owned by a company with multiple locations don't have MD's on staff physically there. That said, I've also noticed the trend that many provide sub-par care. read more

I wouldn't recommend this urgent care to anyone. Sure I was grateful that I was able to get in right before they closed since they were the closest to my house, and I needed a COVID test immediately for work, but at what expense? The provider was nice, yet suggested that I stop my blood pressure medication to take the Covid medication because of an interaction...strange. I refused the antivirals. Then, the next day when I call to get the results emailed to me I'm met with all this push back about speaking to the provider first as if it's 2020 all over again. Although, I get it, protocol. 3.5 hours later, I still don't have the PCR results as promised even though the very rude receptionist told me she emailed them and I could do whatever I wanted with them. What she actually emailed me was a summary of the visit, that says I'm Covid positive in red lettering. Why would I give that to my employer with all of my other information on it? That's not what I asked for. Come to find out from a very nice receptionist, the PCR machine is "broken". Skip this place. read more

I'm 33 years old and I've never been to an urgent care in my life so searching for a good one was a tough feat but I'm glad I found this place! About two weeks ago, I had this unknown lump which put me in a great deal of pain that I wanted to get an expert opinion on what to do next. I went in on a Thursday around 11 AM and the place was pretty empty. The receptionist had me sign a new patient form while I gave information regarding my insurance. Once that was finished, I sat back down until they called my name. Within 5 minutes I was helped and the first step is to enter the triage room to get your blood pressure checked along with your temperature. Once that's finished, you'll get asked a few questions regarding your medical history and the reason for the visit. I then got sent to the examination room where I waited for the PA to come and assess the situation. The PA recommended that I immediately go to the ER to possibly get an x-ray or even surgery. I got recommended to go to a nearby ER so that's what I did. Fast forward to two days later and a couple more visits for the next week and a half. I've encountered many different people from my visits and everyone was spectacular! From the four or so visits, I've waited no longer than 10 minutes each time even with a full lobby of people. I've always been quite iffy with doctor visits but who isn't? Every single person at this facility was great! It was nice seeing familiar faces because they know exactly what I'm in for and what needs to be done. I highly recommend Urgent Care Pros in Fullerton. Hopefully I don't have to come here again in the near future but when I need to, I'm glad this spot is nearby for convenience and preference. read more

I visited this urgent care today due to a persistent cough I've had for over two weeks. I shared my concerns with the staff, especially since my partner had a similar cough that turned into bronchitis. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing from start to finish. The female Asian PA who saw me seemed rushed and uninterested. During a coughing fit, she physically stepped away from me, even though we were both masked. The lung exam felt incomplete she had me inhale and exhale rapidly, not allowing a full exhale, which is necessary to detect wheezing or deeper respiratory issues. She prescribed a medication (benzonatate 100mg) after looking at my prescription I realized I have been taking this. When I returned to ask for something more effective, I was told she was on lunch. When she returned front desk forwarded the message and told me the PA could prescribe 200mg of benzonatate. I didn't understand why she couldn't speak with me directly. Eventually, she did, only to say, "Well, you wanted a pill," instead of offering proper guidance. I don't work in healthcare, I was expecting expertise, not attitude. In the end, I was given the same medication in a higher dose. The whole visit felt dismissive and careless. Under her care someone is bound to get extremely sick, I wouldn't be surprised if she gets sued. If you're looking for thorough, compassionate care, I'd recommend going elsewhere. read more

Best urgent care in the area! My experience was a 10/10. I came in 20 minutes before they closed to get an ear lavage and service was super great. I liked how there was no wait and nurses got me fast. The nurses, medical assistants, and PA's were super friendly and nice to talk to. The nurse was incredibly efficient, completing the lavage in under five minutes. Experienced no pain or discomfort during the visit. The PA who saw me was also very friendly and had good advice. Nychelle Hernandez NP is the definition of a Healthcare professional. We have seen her for ear aches, cold, sinus infections etc...She always takes the time to discuss symptoms. She promptly calls in medications. Also the triage nurse and front desk staff are awesome. I don't think I've ever spent more than thirty minutes going from checking in and walking out the door. I've been to this location 2x now, once for myself and once for my 1.5 year old son both experiences were positive, fast, and friendly. I never go to the doctor but I had been sick for 3+ days so uncomfortable and finally went in to get looked like and sure enough I had Influenza A. I only waited 5-10 min tops and was seen by the doctor in and out within 45 min total. We took our son on Superbowl Sunday after he was sick for 4+ days not getting better he ended up testing positive for RSV. They were so warm and welcoming to him, gave him a stuffed animal and the doctor was super nice answering all our questions as concerned patients. We were also in and out within 45 min. They're not pushy and just straight to the point which is nice. They don't rush you they take their time and make you feel seen/heard. This place is super clean, spacious, and welcoming. The check in process is fast & easy, and both times I've been the waiting room maybe has 1 other person in it. Our new go-to Urgent Care in times of need - highly recommend to Fullerton/Placentia locals! read more

I could not be seen because their website was not specific as to which insurance it accepts. They need to be extremely specific as to what they accept so people do not go there with such urgency only to be turned away. Thankfully, what I needed to come in for was not life threatening. However, I am not recommending this business primarily because of the demeanor in which rejecting clients was presented. I watched the man at the front desk be extremely rude, condescending, and short to the client in front of me and subsequently towards me. I just moved here a few months ago, so I decided to go here. I happen to be the first one in at 8am! There seemed to be no wait list! Every one was very welcoming and professional! The Medical assistant was very attentive and also seemed to care about my well being. The Doctor was very helpful and went above and beyond for me. I was visiting relatives for an extended weekend and my asthma flared up. After a couple of restless nights, I knew I needed some nebulizer medications to help control the flareup. It would be several days when I would be back home to see my primary doctor. The Urgent Care Pros were friendly, efficient, and very helpful. When my oxygen level was 92%, I felt cared for and they showed concern. A steroid and nebulizer treatment later and I already feel and breathing much better. If I had gone to an ER, I would still be waiting to be seen or getting a battery of other tests just in case. I highly recommend this place! read more

Where do I begin ? My staff at UCpros Urgent Care were more than doctors and health care professionals they are angels ! If anyone should be celebrities its these wonderful people who are everyday heroes . I came down with a very bad cold over the weekend right after the heavy down pour rain and taking a whiff of smoke outside I came down the next day with bronchial RSV symptoms . I knew by Sunday it was a full blown cold . It was lasting like 5 days and my family kept urging me Lol to go to Urgent Care because we couldn't find another doctor who was available . I wasn't sleeping well , deep cough , upset tummy , etc . To the rescue the UCpros came . From start to finish both my mom and I were treated like we were part of one big happy family . The energy of love and compassion they have for their patients was felt everywhere . I saw people coming in with smiling faces . Jessa the receptionist was super sweet and informative about insurance . They take Medicare but not Medical . I was blessed with amenities like sparkling water and watching a fun Christmas movie on a huge gorgeous TV . I loved working with the Medical assistant Aramis who was so very kind and patient with me as I was very nervous . And Dr Gene was sweet, compassionate and Kind and I felt she really listened to my concerns and I wasn't rushed or anything . Now I won't go anywhere else ! For a person who has been avoiding doctors my whole life, I am grateful to walk into Urgent Care Pros in Fullerton. Everyone was very compassionate and caring. I did not once feel judged for not taking care of myself sooner. Aramis, Adam & Britney made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. Manager Sophia had a lot of empathy for the symptoms that I was feeling and shared her story, which made me feel comforted. Dr. O'Neil was very thorough with his explanation and made sure that I left with all of my questions answered. The following day, I received a follow-up call to see if I felt okay and if I had any questions. It is so nicer to feel cared for when you're feeling the most vulnerable. After 90 minutes in the waiting room they put us in an exam room only to wait for the doctor. They had two more patients in front of us. Longest urgent care experience of my life. They did not give us a heads up that it would take this long. Truly grateful for the professionalism at this location! I walked into an immaculately clean facility wondering if specific health tests (x-rays etc) requested by a foreign consulate were available-- while the location would've been able to handle nearly all of the tests, the wonderful staff looked out for me by providing a helpful list of local surgeons who would be able to do all tests and sign/notarize the form. I wouldn't bother with this place. I was referred by the VA to come here as it's one of their network authorized urgent cares. I called them direct in the afternoon to confirm hours, appointments and the receptionist practically rushed me off the phone- didn't care if new patients would come in or not, apparently they are too busy. As I came in, the receptionist had some major attitude, bothered by my presence as a new patient coming referred by the VA. I mentioned I called prior to my visit, showed him my call log from my phone - to let him know I called to confirm the details prior to coming in. I was agitated, and when I asked for his supervisor contact info - he said there is management nor supervisor at all. Apparently he is is the judge jury executioner. The care I needed was not able to be taken care of. It was such an embarrassing moment going through this experience I hope it doesn't happen to any other fellow veterans. read more

I visited for the worst cough of my life (resulting from RSV) and the staff really took care of me. I walked in about 11:00am and I had no wait. The new patient intake process was quick and simple. They made sure I was comfortable and answered all my questions regarding my diagnosis and treatments. They electronically forwarded my prescriptions to my local pharmacy so I was able to pick up my medicines with no wait. The facility itself is very clean and well-maintained. It's a small thing, but I also like their waiting room. It faces windows to the outside so it's nice and bright. The TV was playing animal adoption videos during my visit. It doesn't have a doom and gloom feel that I sometimes get from other medical facilities. read more
