It's a large warehouse that is pretty neat to walk through. It's about 50/50 old vs. contemporary and craft stuff. I saw a good amount of Hall so if I collected that, that would be cool to find. There's lots of furniture. Very LITTLE Pyrex, Fire King, Hazel Atlas, vintage Fiestaware, more P86 Fiestaware, only a couple jadeite cups/saucers. But a neat walk through. read more

Business owners are very rude. We entered the store and I was immediately given a "mask inspection." I was told by an elderly lady that my approved mask was not 'sufficient'. This inspection was followed up by an apparent "health expert" elderly male. (The man seems like more of a know it all science enthusiast then an antiques guru.) They have nothing I need worth being treated like a fool over. Will go to places that appreciate my business and treat me with respect. We have visited the store several times in the past (prior to COVID) and it wasn't great at all then.. they seem to have hit rock bottom on their already poorly run establishment. I would suggest spending your money at the antique establishment behind Smith's. You'd be better served not to stop in here if you wish to avoid some type of issue(s), which seems to be more times than not based on many of their reviews. I don't know why y'all post pictures or even open your doors. You treat customers like they're shoplifters by following them around and taking the items to be held at the counter. And don't even say you do it for customer service because that's not how you make people feel and I'm not the only one that has said that. Also, the prices are ridiculous and I know that's the vendor's fault but your policy of no haggling under $100 is ridiculous. You're in the wrong business if you're not willing to haggle. I was very interested and would have bought that Stanley No. 5 plane but not for anywhere near that price. And everyone should be highly suspicious of any company that turns off their reviews tab. This is a must shopping place if you are within 50 miles of Destin. This is the best Antique Mall in the country. Very well staffed and prices are based on wheather the item is a French antique for something unique for coastal decoration. There is truly something for everyone in every price range. A must see even if it is not raining. I do not understand the first two posts on this site and they are way off base. read more

Made a sizable purchase only to be greeted with a very rude lady upon checkout. Seemed put out when asked to wrap a fragile item, in bubble wrap, for transport in the car. If you are working in a service industry you should at least be pleasant to your customers. read more

Very cool collection of old and new items, but expect to pay handsomely for most items (one woman was shocked to learn that the pillow cases she was interested in actually cost $395...and honestly, they didn't look all that amazing). Lots of coastal inspired decor, and a HUGE collection of antique maps and prints. Staff didn't really acknowledge us when we walked in, and weren't really outgoing when we paid for our items, but that didn't bother me too much. read more

Horrible experience. We were greeted by the same rude woman that reviewer below described. No welcome, no description of the layout, no pointing out of sales from various vendors... just a stern warning that my 89-year-old mother's tiny purse (that barely fits a wallet and keys) was not allowed in the store... but that she could carry her wallet. Like the other reviewer, we felt under suspicion as we walked through the home-goods level decorator items sprinkled with some nice but very over priced antiques. I expressed my opinion that the TSA is more welcoming... and that we will never return. Too bad, since I'm visiting home from NYC to help my mother furnish a new home. read more

If I could rate this store any lower than a single star I would. Horribly rude customer service. I brought my small service dog with me into the store and the first thing they say to me is that I have to carry him. Hmm...ok. So I proceed to walk through their aisles with my dog in arms looking at their lot of "antiques" (I say that in quotations as I believe most of their sale items to be of newer age...versus true antique quality). Regardless, I was then approached by a manager who asked me to email her verification that my dog is real service animal...which is against the law!!!!! As I was about to hit send on that email, I came to the realization that they don't deserve my patronage. At that point I just decided to leave versus giving into her unlawful request. If you are really interested in amazing antiques I would suggest you skip this store and head to the one immediately behind it. The staff there are friendlier and very accommodating to both myself and my service dog. They certainly earned my sale....Smiths doesn't get my money, nor should they get yours!!! read more

Pricey indeed (as others have stated)! This is not a store for your average looker or deal-hunter seeking pieces to restore, repaint, or incorporate into décor or design. Most furniture items have already been worked and are in the upper-hundreds to thousands; however some of the pieces are more substantial than one may use in an average home. Décor items are laughably priced (since I did have a chuckle at a few tags). There are many reasonable stores in the southeast (Atlanta, Birmingham, Montgomery, Tallahassee, etc). I was told to leave it in my car or leave it with the workers at the front desk but they wouldn't be liable! I have been treated better by TSA agents. I turned around and left. We stop in here a few times a year to visit the many booths that are available in this mall. You can find a small thing such as a dried fawn for a vase to an imperial mantle for your house. The collection of dealers have made available vintage things from house goods, clothing, furniture to new things. It's really a good mall. The folks that work here are eager to help and sometimes willing to negotiate prices. read more

We shop in antique stores all over. This one advertises to be one of the hugest in the country which is a joke. They are decent sized but I wouldn't even call them large. I have been in many larger. Have some nice items if you want to spend $ as their prices are high (far, far higher than value in some cases --such as an potato peeler that was almost new and could be bought for $10 in Bed, Bath & Beyond --it was $22 here). There were a couple things that I might have considered buying but we were treated so poorly when I walked in, I really didn't feel like buying anything. We walked in and no hello or greeting just two rude people looking us up and down. Then, very rudely, the old lady says that they have a store policy and they don't allow people to carry large bags. They were referring to my Michael Korrs handbag which is about 8" by 8" --not exactly a large bag. (We are in our 50's, well dressed, and drove up in a brand new Mercedes --so I don't believe that we looked sketchy.) We are buying a second home in the area that needs to be fully decorated. Not here. Anyone who is trying to sell things in this mall should find a new place because your business is being hurt by the rude lady at the front desk...... Reading the reviews, we are not the only ones to experience this.... If you want to put a damper on your day and be treated poorly, go here. read more

I arrived here at 5:30 on a Saturday afternoon fully aware they closed at 6. I knew exactly what I was looking for so I didn't plan to stay long.The second I walked in the door, I was greeted by a very rude woman who told me to put on my running shoes, cause they were leaving at 6. I told her maybe I would just leave now and not buy anything and she looked me up and down (I had been at the beach all day and was a little disheveled looking but still...)and told me that was my choice. She was very unprofessional; when she was leaving (before 6 I might add, she told the other girls "it's been real" ) My husband and brother were behind me and my sister in law and were pretty much turned off by the whole ambience of the store. Very little is actually antique and everything is ridiculously overpriced. Will definitely not EVER be back to this store. If you want to be treated rudely and pay too much if you can even find anything worth buying in this store, go ahead; I won't. read more

Very unprofessional. As an interior designer, I love supporting local businesses and finding my clients unique pieces. I stopped in this store today with my family as we decided to make a day of antique shopping after Church. My son and his girlfriend both made purchases and having found a great booth with custom industrial looking furniture, I approached the older woman (and man) behind the counter to obtain more information. Many of the large pieces in the booth were sold and there was a sign that read "custom requests welcome". I had several clients in mind and wanted to give my card for the booth owner to contact me to discuss my clients needs and specifically wanted to inquire as to possible outdoor use. The woman said absolutely not! She said I could draw a picture of what I might want and they would give it to him. She told me I needed to pick a wood also. I said I had no idea what wood would be best suited for my intended use (ie a wet bar or vanity). She basically said too bad. So unprofessional! I indicated it could be in the $10,000 range and I had no problem paying their commission if that was the issue preventing them from allowing me to discuss specifics with the person making the furniture. She wouldn't consider it. At this point, it was about 5 minutes until close... And several people were trying to come in and she was incredibly rude to them as well. I won't be returning. read more
