We just happened by while visiting Fort…read moreWalton Beach Landing Park (across from the back side of this store on Brooks Road) and were drawn to the glowing "Open" sign and the giant Coca Cola adirondack chair. Having no idea what to expect, we rang the doorbell for entrance and waited about 30 seconds for someone to unlock the door. Once inside, it was clear that this place had been accumulating weird souvenirs, Coke collectibles, vintage objects, and other odds and ends for decades. The small store is packed from floor to ceiling with knicknacks, assorted seashells, art pieces, and traditional beach town tourist junk that folks like me want to bring home as a memento of the visit. We found out that this store is one of the oldest continuously operated, family-run small businesses in Ft. Walton and will celebrate 50 years in 2022. The friendly lady behind the counter seemed to know details about everything in the store and was very engaged with all the customers. Our visit was brief, but I picked up my 2 essential souvenirs (a koozie and a magnet) for less than $10, with a free seashell included. I visited this location before when it was a very run down and old thrift store. Yikes, it has come a long way now! De' France has done a great job with this new spot. It's very similar to their original store, but on a smaller scale. The staff is friendly and everything is well organized. Now we have another spot to check out during our annual trips to the Florida Gulf Coast!

She poured a pop on the couch and it didn't absorb!! They delivered the couch the next day and it wouldn't fit in any of my building's elevators. I was afraid I'd have to return it. The delivery guys left. Then an hour later Amy Jo called me and said they were coming back with a their guy and we're gonna carry this massive sectional couch up 12 flights of stairs for me!! Best Xmas ever. I cried and tipped them well for their superior service and amazing kindness. Love this store and the service!! There's so much more I want to buy there. Will be back soon.

They barely made it halfway through the store before an older gentleman said, "If you aren't going to buy anything, please leave so I can go to lunch." My daughter is on the spectrum so she looks quite young for her age. I can only assume he was stereotyping them as "teens" but that's beside the point. As a small business owner myself, I cannot imagine treating customers this way.
