SPOILED SEAFOOD! Purchased Argentinian Red Shrimp from seafood display case on January 9th…read moremid-afternoon. Employee bagged the shrimp from the case (1.22 pounds) Had a five-minute drive home, refrigerated the bag, then got it out to clean at dinner time. Shrimp was slimy and had a horrible rotten smell like ammonia. It actually burned the inside of our noses! (The employee had to be aware when she was bagging the shrimp!) It went right to the garage in a sealed trash bag. I had to scramble to find another meal to make for my kids who were coming over for dinner. It took opening doors (in 30-degree temperatures), and scented candles to get the disgusting smell out of my house. I only shop at this market when desperate for time. Wegmans, Market 32, and even Gerrity's offer better quality food. One final comment.........while shopping, a man was wheeling a grocery cart through the store with a medium-large size dog SITTING INSIDE THE CART! This is disgusting and, in my opinion, should not be permitted by the store manager or employees.

I just moved to the area. I moved here because I have family here and where i was living before…read morerents for the elderly were up to 1450/a month. With gas prices off the charts no one has the gas to travel to places that are supposed to be cheaper. So in the long run it all evens out. I'm very happy to have discovered this store. And until gas prices come down I won't be going to the bigger grocery stores anytime soon. The meat and fresh produce is just that fresh. Good place to shop.

Rather than allow 5 minutes to check out, as much as 1 person can hold in arms, the 5 mins overtime the employee would have made to convenience a customer became more important than service with a smile. . As a first experience with a grocery store, 10 minutes from my home, when I'm considering a change from Weis, it was less than desirable. One bad apple can't spoil the whole bunch. There isn't anything that I can think of that is a reason that you must go there, but it is helpful as a place to swing by on your way home from work. The staff is generally helpful, but the people who cashier the beer area apparently can't be bothered to lift a finger. It isn't terrible, but when you have Weis right down the road...why go here?
