I went to Oakhills Family Dental because they did except amariplan and they offered a first time $59 visit cleaning with x ray BUT Oakhills Family said they could not clean my teeth because of a gum infection. their treatment course was 2 visits of deep gum cleaning about $1000 and said I needed a crown and a filing to cost about $1500 WOW! $2500 Dr Hauetter said he didn't think I needed any of that and I left with a cleaning $77 and am do to go back in 3 months to re clean to pope fully clear up the gum infection. Each time I get there, I walk right into the room and they have even called me a couple times asking if I wanted to come in earlier for my appointment. They have flexible hours and when I mentioned that I was interested in Invisalign, they took my insurance, found out that I was not covered and let me decide if I wanted it or not (I didn't). I never felt pressured into choosing it. My only gripe is that they do have a text appointment reminder program, but do not sign up. It sends way too many reminders.

They don't understand that not everyone going there is loaded with money. They lack compassion when their patients are going through hard times financially. (Which solves nothing if you don't have that money to pay to begin with.) I did find a better dentist (Dr. Flintlock in Liberty) who has a solo practice. He's been a dentist for a long time and genuinely cares about his patients more than the money he's making. He does phenomenal work and his dental hygienist did a great job cleaning my teeth! They DID work with me on the cost of my work and set me up with a way to pay for it. The cost of my dental work was 1/2 the cost of Dr. Smith's charges for the same procedures. It's unfortunate, considering so many people are struggling financially right now because of the HUGE increase in cost of living. Especially taxes and insurance costs. We need providers that understand this instead of them penalizing us because we are poor. Compassion and understanding goes a long way.

They called me at 7 am the next morning and got me in at 11am that day (keep in mind- I am not even a patient of theirs). The dentist was great and re attached my veneer after numbing my mouth. He educated me on future complications/what to avoid/what to watch for. His assistant was wonderful. I have had no problems since (knock on wood). The next day (so Saturday), the same gal who called me at 7am called to check on me. The best customer service I think I have ever had in my life. Again, I will be switching to this office. Overall I would definitely reccomend the office as the desk gals and hygienists are wonderful and so is Dr Hutchinson but I wouldn't reccomend seeing Dr Jessup. Also the location is kind of interesting to get to but once you've gone once it'll be a breeze to get to again.
