I visited Melissa for my hair appointment on Sun, 1/14/2024 at 1:00 PM. I had purchased a Groupon for a haircut and deep conditioning. Her location is now located at the Sola Salons in Montebello: 806 W Beverly Blvd. Suite 59. Scheduling: I easily made my hair appt on her website a couple of days before. I'm actually quite picky with my haircuts and I usually leave a little dissatisfied so it's been hard to find someone consistent to cut my hair. Melissa was patient, let me show her a few reference pictures, and knew exactly what I wanted. She gave me a U-cut, with a few layers (not too much 'cause my hair is babylighted already) that helped with how heavy my hair felt. I also wanted long curtain bangs.. long enough to reach behind my ears. She asked me additional questions like whether I wanted her to fix the shape of the hair, and was more than happy to help me do it. My haircut also included a deep conditioning, which she used Kenra Reconstructive Mask and it made my hair so soft and detangled! She uses quality products and also uses a heat protectant before she blow-dried!  Customer Service: Melissa is soOoO nice and relatable. She had recommendations, was responsive through text, and is super down to earth. She's chill and easy to talk to. Even though it was our first appt, I felt super comfortable with her! :) She's also a cosmo/barber instructor at American Beauty College so it was cool to know that she shares her knowledge with students!  Her Instagram is @smockednloaded if you want to give her a follow! Parking: No issues with parking at all. Her shop at Sola is located in a big plaza that has Vons, Dollar Tree, Ross, etc with plenty of parking available. Melissa saved my hair!! One week before my wedding I decided to get my hair done. I got my hair highlighted with another hairdresser who ended up leaving me too ashy blonde and I hated it! In a panic, I immediately went on Yelp and found Melissa. I was so lucky she was available the next day and booked right away! The process was very easy. The day of my appointment she saw me right on time. I explained my hair crisis to her and asked her to get me back to a brunette color. I also needed a a trim. I got my hair cut about a month ago. It was easy to book an appointment on the website and did not have to wait long when I arrived for my appointment. I thought Melissa did an amazing job on my hair. I felt she listened to what I wanted and does a great job with bangs.
