She took me at the last minute for a haircut, I got off work early and had some time, and also have a wedding reception later (she had a cancellation, so it worked out!) First thing she asks me what exactly I wanted. I loved her hair and wanted a trim and just needed to get rid of my dead hair. 4.5 stars. I needed somewhere close and decent enough for a quick haircut. This place was very close to me and initially I called to make an appointment during "open" hours. It was in the evening like 5:30 pm when I called but hours say they open till 10 pm. No one picked up and I called the next morning when they apparently opened at 7 am on a Sat. No one picked up. I called again around noon and someone picked up!! I made an appointment that day since the website says it's recommended. They also didn't pick up so I didn't want to drive and risk the salon being closed. -1/2 a star for the difficulty in appointments. The owner did say they leave early if there no appointments for the rest of the night so it makes sense. When I made the appointment there were multiple people I could hear in the background but for my evening appointment, only the owner was there. I had a customer ahead of me and I could tell this place was her safe place to vent, get pampered. The owner is very kind efficient. I was out within the hour and since it was dark outside he looked to make sure I made it to my car ok. The cut was decent! My hair feels lighter, smooth, and now has layers. It included a wash and blow dry for the price of 40. read more

This will be quick and short. My over all haircut cost 45$ my hair was cut shorter than I like but it's okay it will grow back eventually. They were able to squeeze me in today at 12 with a gentleman I believe by the name of Eddie if I recall correctly. He was very kind but had a very heavy hand with the hair brush that I thought for a second he had a personal vengeance against me. He also hit my face so many times with the brush that it left some red marking :( (because of my social anxiety I was too nervous to say anything :/) (I think my head will be a bit tender for the next couple of days) . His (I'm assuming )nails were a bit to long that when he would move my hair in certain directions it would scratch the back of my neck pretty hard and he scratched my face but luckily not cuts :) over all very quiet place read more

Got my hair done by Denise and she was amazing! I haven't gotten my hair done in over a year due to bad experiences. I have really thick coarse hair so a lot of the places I've been to never got the color right the first time.I was referred to by my coworker because I liked her balayage so I got Denise's number and scheduled an appointment. Her schedule is pretty busy so make sure you schedule ahead of time! I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted because I didn't want my hair to be blond but I didn't want it to be to dark that the highlights weren't going to show. Needed a hair cut so I made an appointment here and ended up with Ernie! Got to my appointment on time and he let me know he was running behind so we didn't get started until 15 minutes later, which was no biggie. The place itself is decently sized, but not a lot of waiting room. I had to sit in the back with the hair dryers since there were other customers lol. Ernie was super friendly and gave me exactly what I wanted! The cut came with a wash and hair dry, which took about an hour total. It was $40 for the cut before tip. Although they say they accept credit cards, it actually depends on the person. He said he only took venmo, zelle, or cash. Overall, super happy with my hair and everyone was very friendly! I came to this salon after months of deliberating. The owner of the salon I used to go to retired and I was Sh. out of luck! I decided to try this salon and WOW! I loved everything from the customer service I received when I walked in (no appointment, I was a walk in) to when I left. Martin made me feel like I had been a regular customer for years! Now, to the cut: I wish I would have taken a before of my hair. My hair was dull, stringy, and too long. I was tired of it and had contemplated on two different styles - longer layers or a bob. A friend recommended MG after I already spent some time hopping around trying to find an affordable stylist. And I'm glad she did. I've been to Supercuts and the frou frou salons that offer a glass of white zin once your toe goes over their threshold. And though the white zin is a nice accompaniment to the whole experience, I grew tired of paying close to $200 for color, trim, and a blow out. So I headed east where I found Melinda at this no frills salon. Well, they do have some frills, they offer coffee and massages ( those are not free). Melinda is a great colorist and has taken care of my hair ever since I began going to her over a year and a half ago. She doesn't push products in your face either, something I really do appreciate. Though her prices are not Supercuts low they're also not bookoo high. Her skill and prices are definitely worth the drive. read more

I just moved into the area and I needed a haircut ASAP. I called and Martin was able to get me in same day. I ran into some traffic on the way there so I called and Martin told me not to worry. He assured me that he would wait for me. When I finally got there he was just as friendly as he had been over the phone. After a brief consult he washed my hair we got started. My husband has being going to the owner of MG studios Martin Galvan for Years. I can honestly say a few decades. He stated Melinda was the best. To give her a try. I booked my first appointment with her for the Jennifer Aniston look. What can I say. I don't look like Jennifer Aniston but the hair was the exact look I had asked for. Taking in my Picture of her, it only took Melinda 1 try! She nailed it! 8 months later I decided to discover for the first time the darker look. Of course inspired by Kardashians, I quite did not want it that dark. Again Melinda was professional and sweet to say she would suggest a the darkest brown on me. Again Melinda nailed it!!! We were both helped by Denise and she is honestly a great stylist. She washed and conditioned our hair, cut, blow dryed and styled for 30 bucks each. She asked a lot of questions to help create the perfect cut that you want. She was super friendly and nice and gave us a bit of advice to handle our manes. She's fantastic always ask for Denise!
