Nadine asked for my name and used it throughout the appointment, seems like a small thing but makes a huge impact! Originally, I was only going for a Brazilian but when I had noticed her next appointment was yet to arrive I asked her to do a 1/2 leg. All in all it came out to a total of $75! Ok, I have had Brazilian wax done for about a year now. I decided to try Amour Skin Care because it is closer for me. I went the first time...and man, it was brutal. I thought "ok maybe it's because I'm not used to her and I will go again for a second time, give her a chance, see how it goes" well!!!!! BIG mistake. I took my friend who is still new to the whole idea of Brazilian Wax. We had our appointment with Nadine. .... We were finished with our Brazilian, we paid, we walked to my friend's car, we were inside her car and we looked at each other and said... "F@*&^&!&!^@^, WTF, OMG!!!! F@^&!*#*!*" SHE freaking butchered us!!! we went straight to the nearest convenience store and bought ice water to put in between our legs!!!. It was painful. Since my job got moved to a further location, I needed to find a new person to go to for my Brazilian waxing. I came across Amour Skin Care via Yelp since I moved to Montebello about 2 years ago and chose this place based on the reviews for Nadine and how close it is to my house. I have to agree that Nadine is very personable but unfortunately, if I have 2 unpleasant experiences with you, then I cannot go back. She is the 3rd person I have ever gone to for a Brazilian, and it was such a painful experience after the fact. This was the first time I had ever had scabbing so badly that it hurt to use the restroom, it hurt when I showered, and it even hurt just by my underwear touching the area. When I went back to Nadine a 2nd time, I told her what had happened and she was quite apologetic. I told her not to wax the inner most area and she obliged; however, she did not do such a clean job everywhere else. I am giving Amour Skin Care a couple stars because I do like the idea of a free gift every time you pay cash for the service you receive. Also, like I mentioned before, Nadine is a very sweet lady and she is accommodating with your time schedule. I've been coming to Nadine for over 5 years. A friend of mine recommended her, but through the years I have discovered that many of my friends are her loyal clients, including my sister. She is very professional and makes you feel very comfortable, especially during the Brazilian wax. Her prices for waxing and facials are very reasonable and she also has various specials throughout the year. Currently, I am receiving a series of pumpkin peels coupled with a microdermabrasion facial. All I can say is that when I leave her shop my skin feels baby soft and looks noticeably brighter.
