First of all, I received several quotes from Yelp for smog testing. There was one place closer to work and offering good price - showed up during my lunch hour and they were not even on the premises. Bummer. Went back on Yelp, and this place is close to my home, and the best service - customer and conversation! They took me right in and in 15-17 mins we were done. Laid Back Atmosphere. I was in need of a Smog Check and I needed something local, so I yelped Smog Shops and this shop popped up with other shops, this shop was more descent. The owner of the shop (forgot his name) desk was right when you pull into the shop to the right. He had all of his Certification in frames on the wall with his License like your suppose to. I told him my reasons for my Visit which was to get a Smog check. He helped me right away and started to do his duties. Service was excellent and fast. I received a quote through yelp the day before and was charged what they quoted me. The workers were super nice and kept asking me to see if I wanted water or anything. I had forgotten my DMV paper but they were kind enough to go that extra step and do the smog without the paper and just use my current registration. After 15 minutes of waiting they were all done and I noticed that they had even moved my car so that it would face the street and I would be able to exit easily. Searched around before finding out about this place through Yelp. Needed to pass smog to receive tags and the other places was charging $50-$70. Most of the other places would just test you immediately knowing that you might fail. While this place would give you a pre-test/diagnostic to see if you would pass the actual smog test. As well as tell you what's wrong and how to solve the problem. They won't do the test until they know you will pass and they won't charge you for the pre-test. The place had snacks/drinks while you waited for the test to be done. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in need. read more
