The room was air-conditioned with a cute little table in the middle and plenty of seating despite the small space. It's perfect if you're planning to stay and wait. This is where I state that I live with a service dog and after identifying her experienced no issues. 4 paws up!! The building is older, but clean. The waiting area was comfortable but nothing fancy. There was a TV and a fee chairs and a rug. It served its purpose and was comfortable. I passed testing and he gave me my paperwork and I paid. No issues. Very pleasant experience. **side note I went to DMV afterwards thinking id have to stand in line with my smog papers. A kind lady told me to try the kiosk and if it didn't work, she'd let me have my place back. It went through easy peasy!! He had uploaded it online for me even though I didn't have my paperwork!! Five stars for a smog DMV service station... what the helli?…read more My car didn't pass smog initially. Turns out I had tear in my air-intake hose. They showed me the broken part and even did a quick demo, pointing out how to remove the part for fast replacement. They also mentioned this was pretty common in older model Hondas. Since I had already paid; they said get the part replaced, come back, and I could basically skip the line to get the test done. I replaced the part myself, which I'm pretty proud of, came back the next day and then my battery died... what the f@%k?! - NOTE: If your battery dies, the car computer has to reset. Which means you need to drive around for at least 50-miles. I did this, came back, they slide me in, and finally passed smog! The staff here was super patient, helpful, and very understanding to my situation. Beyond registration they also replace key fobs for cars and can cut new car keys as well.

I had originally gone to Fresno smog over on Shields Avenue and received paltrier customer service. Plus I was overcharged. I did the right thing and came here the next day and they were able to help me out right away. Here's a difference; when you go to a smog shop, you can ask them to run a quick check using a very simple computer to see if the emissions are ready for testing. It doesn't cost them anything. That's what these guys did after I explained, that the truck had been sitting for a while, and they very quickly told me it wasn't ready for emissions to drive it a few more miles and then come back and it would give me a coupon. The Cummins diesel oil filter can be tricky, you can only access the filter through the passenger-side fender well. On these trucks, you really have to know what you're doing, right front tire has to be removed to properly access the fender-well opening and extract the oil filter. They handled the entire diesel oil change perfectly. Not a single drop of oil was left on my vehicle, and they also completed the safety checks, including my brakes and other important service items.
