He evaluated my vehicle and checked everything that he needed to check. We eventually started talking and he shared with me that he had customers who had modified their vehicles would come to him at the last minute hoping he would pass them, even though it was illegal and then curse or write bad reviews, if he didn't pass them. They would then leave their cursing and go to another center who had no integrity and pass them and they would come back and curse at him. However, who am I to argue with ChatGPT. I arrived at the location and was immediately taken into the service section. There was another vehicle ahead of me. The technician handed me the paperwork and started the mechanical process. He stated that truck is going to take over an hour. Your vehicle will take considerably shorter to complete. How refreshing is it to do business with an entity that can balance time management while keeping their customers at a low stress level. I had my dog with me and fully expected to take her for a walk while we waited. Dog and I - very surprised by the time I finished the paperwork the mechanical process was done, uploaded to the State of California, and I had all documentation and receipt in hand - on my way to tge next stage. The technician was fast, efficient, helpful and kind. I am overdue getting this done and he just looked at me - without condemnations referred me to the closest AAA Office to avoid long DMV lines. How cool was that!? My daughter and son in law normally handled all of this for me. They are going through a divorce. So I felt it was time for me to take care of myself and my business. Came in for a smog. I wanted to give them a shot because there close, I usually take my vehicles elsewhere. He said my vehicle didn't pass because of monitor readiness, he said keep driving it and come back for a "free retest" (30 days to come back) fixed all monitors needed to pass and wanted to use my "free retest" the same day because I came in right when they opened and had all day too handle it. He then denied to even plug in the obd2 and look at my monitors and just kept making useless excuses on why he thinks my monitors are not ready. I don't have all day to argue like children not professional at all. Why not just hook up the obd2 and actually look. So I went to my normal smog place and passed within 10 minutes. I took my second car in to smog. My first experience was definitely 5 star. The 2nd car had recently had a battery change and little driving. He explained the process to me and i needed to drive at 55 MPH on the freeway, for an hour because of the drive cycle. I was a little frustrated and he reassured me that it takes time. I did what he told me to do and came back. My car passed without a problem. He, again, was amazing! He did not have to take the time to explain everything to me and reassure me it would work. How does this place have five stars?! I just came from Kerman to get my truck smogged. I got a quote for $75 over the phone and when I get there he denies this pricing and quotes me higher.
