What started with tasting of different brands of whiskey and burbon has now extended to tequila, rum, wine, and now Pisco. Every week, a representative from a spirit brand gives details about what makes their brand special, provides a brief explanation on the history and the distillation process, and you can taste different varieties of their spirit, all free of charge. Made the quick trip back to Miami to visit mother in law, whose currently under home hospice care. Packed a cigar for the trip but left the torch behind. Called the front desk at Courtyard by Marriott in Dadeland for whereabouts to smoke and they recommended Smoke and Barrel. Put on some slippers and made the 3 minute walk. Ritchie greeted me with a warm welcome upon entering. The place was cozy, quaint, and had a wide variety of smokes and spirits. I was also impressed with how effective the ventilation system was. People were smoking Stoogies at tables nearby and the smell was negligible. I told Ritchie I forgot my torch back at home. Not only did he get me started, he gave me a torch for the road to ensure I would enjoy my smoke until the end. I will most certainly be returning in the near future and I highly recommend this place to any beginner, novice, or aficionado looking for a great vibe! Thanks again for the hospitality Ritchie! This place was nothing but amazing! The staff is extremely attentive. They come by consistently asking if you need anything. The cigar walk-in humidifier has a vast variety of cigars to choose from. It has such a soft and cozy vibe. There was a DJ playing the best of retro 80's. Many of us were singing along and having a great time. It was so nice to see a charcuterie board on the menu. We've been to many cigar bars and they hardly have food. Didn't even get to get a picture before we were all digging in. Totally recommend this place when choosing a nice cigar bar. read more

Very nice cigar lounge in Miami Florida. Great atmosphere and a nice high end selection of cigars. The bar was very well stocked with premium beverages as well. The waitress's were very attentive as well as beautiful and friendly. Live music was happening that night with a crooner singing some old Sinatra classics. I'm not sure how I forgot to review the place Friday after I left but the lounge was phenomenal. When I walked in the cashier greeted me and noticed one of my bands of a cigar club. From that point he made reference to a few names that I knew and began to show me around the lounge doing so much as offering me cookies and a drink while I smoked . The ambiance of the place is really nice . If I weren't on a time crunch I would definitely be there tonight and probably tomorrow night . Great long great people ! read more

Our first time here. The service was good and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Live music was a plus and he sang really good. Since this is a cigar lounge, expect a lot of smoke. There are drinks and you can buy a cigar with a wide variety to choose from with different prices. I only wish there was a better extractor or ventilation system for the non smokers like me who join in since the smoke gets to be a bit too much. Under new ownership for the past several months. Much more attention to detail with new owners, it remains a great place for whiskey and an even better and deeper humidor than before. The staff is excellent, and with live music on the weekends, the place has a relaxing after-work vibe during the week and a more upbeat vibe on the weekends. Back in September 2024 we stumbled onto this establishment which was formerly Empire Social Lounge. We purchased a 'paid in full' membership for $2500. This fee granted the members a $2500 'house credits' towards future purchase of spirits, cigars, VIP lounge seating and a humidor with our name on it complete with fob to keep our cigars. Shortly after the business was bought out by the new owners Frank and Julio. Without any formal written notice of new ownership, new changes in policies, etc., we were told on our last visit that our credits were no longer being honored ($1100 worth!) They almost didn't allow us to be seated in the VIP lounge that evening since under the new policy you had to call ahead to reserve. Wasn't that one of the perks of my membership? They tried justifying how they took our credit $$$ by how upside down the business was after purchasing it. Well, that's their problem. I shouldn't be assuming their financial mess. They wanted to make it right by giving us an $850 credit towards the purchase of a new humidor/membership. Wait! What? I just spent $2500 on one four months ago. No! They needed to honor the contract of the existing members before stealing their money. I honestly can't put it any other way. Can't see a great future ahead for these owners. read more
