Never in my days of working there have I ever experienced employees or customers using products at the store without purchasing or even using it and put it back on shelf. I came in to purchase a canabzy wax and since I was a store manager for months I know what it's supposed to look like. Sandy,sugar like but when purchased this wax and opened it as walking out to my truck the wax had been tampered with. I've never seen this before when I went back inside I was able to do a refund since It was bought within 1 minute of me noticing the product and when I got exchanged for another one same brand it still didn't look right it was clear like mellow monkey wax or even honey and NOT full to the top it was basically empty like it had been melting away or swapped with something else. Very disappointed in this location especially from someone who has worked for this company. Pls hire better people for the stores to check inventory or stocking on shelves because I definitely felt ripped off when I bought something for almost $30 just for it to not be full and look off . Save your time coming here and instead go to the other ones in the area like dairy ashford or memorial location. They rarely seem to disappoint with products on shelf.

I was first attracted by "now open" sign from looking at the turning lane. I was gonna grab lunch. Ah, that's new. Let me check it out. Before I enter, I thought smoke shop was a dark and smelly place. Once I opened the door, my old imagery was all wiped out. Smokey Doke is modern and clean. Employee was really helpful and patient. I actually met the owner, Richie. He educated me the difference between CBD and Delta 8 aka THC. All these acronyms blew me off. These things are in the forms of gummy or tincture. Very easy to handle and consume. You know me, I'm adventurous. I tried both. And, yeah. Delta 8 is a little overwhelming for me. I need to be on vacation and out of touch first. (Means no Yelp or social media when I use it.) CBD or Hemp occupies only a small section of the store. They're building a cigar room at the adjacent corner. The rest of store is filled with smoke accessories and stuff I have not seen but known to other regular users. It's fantastic to learn this is not the only store in Houston. I'm so glad that we have a resource like this in my neighborhood.

But when I walked in today for the first time I was taken back. It felt like the ultimate guys hangout spot. There a few guys relaxing in the leather chairs, smoking and watching tv. One looked like he was working remote as he had a laptop in front of him. I'm a causal cigar smoker but I instantly wanted to jump in a chair and pick one out. This was a short visit as it wasn't planned and I had to get back to the office. To be honest the only reason I walked in was because my coworker wanted to check if they had something in stock. We were greeted as we walked in. Asked if we needed help finding anything while we were browsing and was told to let them know if we had any questions. Then we were left alone but in a good way. No one was hovering over us, or trying to push us to buy certain ones. I could have spent some serious time and money in here as there was so many options. They also seemed to have something for everyone. From mild to strong and price points from high to low. I'm looking forward to coming back and actually hanging out and relaxing.

Once you're let in to the actual shop (there's two entrances ring the bell) you're met with one of the most aesthetically pleasing shops you'll ever see. A tv with music videos playing, a big ottoman that has some cool carpets and an overall room that's lit up by some cool purples and green accents. Their store is primarily cannabis but they have some nice nicotine selections from vapes, hooka pens, and even cigarettes. Everytime I've come in, I was always pleased with the products I got (pre-rolls, edibles, vapes) the high is SUPER strong and lasts so long compared to flower from other shops. Even with all that, the service? The workers are some of the most nicest, kindest, and welcoming people I've ever met. It makes you just want to stay and converse with them even longer tbh. The times I went there, there was either a guy or girl and their vibes overall have always been chill and friendly and to me that just changes the whole experience. They answer your questions so well that you don't feel lost at all during your time there. You will always get your moneys worth (they're pretty cheap for being such a strong competitor to your street pharmacist) so if you're driving by or have been thinking about it, you won't regret it. For my wake and bakers they open at 9am too
