Loved my poutine with fresh cut fries and great customer service. It was clean and fast.

Service was wonderful. For a place that specializes in poutine, I found the gravy very flavourless.

The poutine was amazing. I had the bacon and scared it down too quick to even take a picture. Highly recommend!!!

I must've taken a wrong turn leaving Detroit, because suddenly I was in Canada. If you're going to…read moreaccidentally cross an international border, landing next to a poutinery isn't the worst. Frenchy's sits in a shopping center anchored by a Shoppers Drug Mart and a "Gaming Center" (aka casino). Walking up to the counter, I immediately noticed the lineup of meat choices and toppings. It's the kind of menu that makes you pause for a second, not because it's complicated, but because everything looks like a good idea. All sorts of protein options from Chicken to "Montreal Smoked Meat". I got the Gyro. Ordering was quick, and the food came out fast and fresh. The gravy was the standout. This wasn't that fast‑food slop. It was beefy, rich, the kind of gravy that actually tastes like something. Combined with the cheese curds and toppings, it made for a proper Canadian comfort‑food moment. And the portions? Massive. The kind of serving that makes you wonder if you accidentally ordered for two. Frenchy's is definitely playing in the "feed the masses" category, and they're doing it well. I took half my order back across the border for later. Bottom line: If you find yourself wandering into Windsor, intentionally or not, Frenchy's is a worthy stop for that authentic Pountne cuisine.

They always have great menu suggestions if you are unsure, and are quick at making drinks, and bringing out food. I'd like to mention, I had a situation where I was being harassed by another customer but Eloy handled the situation swiftly and professionally. Easy for me to say after that, I have no doubt that this is a safe place. 2. They cater to different interests on different days of the week. My favorite day to go is Thursday for karaoke night, the DJ in charge of karaoke is so great and encouraging! 3. Inclusivity is a huge thing for the LGBTQ community, and sadly some LGBTQ bars aren't as inclusive or safe as you would think. BUT NO WORRY, Liberty bar has gender fluid bathrooms, and is handicap accessible! 4. Last but not least, the food is priced very fairly, and drinks are as well. Their signature cocktails are always a hit, and you can never go wrong with the potstickers. If it wasn't clear earlier in this review, I highly recommend this business. It's a great place to ice break on date night, or just come and make new friends in a safe space. It's truly like family here.

Unfortunately once we found it there was a paper sign on the door that they were closed that day. We were visiting Detroit from Maryland. In fact, last summer we took the in-laws who were visiting from New Orleans, to Eighteen 12 for their first poutine experience. My daughter is kind of basic, so she sticks to the original (sometimes adds bacon). My husband and I have tried a few of the more "dressed" varieties and everything has been delicious. There is nowhere to sit and eat (even pre-pandemic). It's a takeout joint. They certainly make you feel welcome while you are waiting for your order, though. We usually just take ours to the riverfront and dine at the park. They have a pretty good setup for phone ordering and pickup in the current pandemic too. Park in front of the door, call in your order, and they will summon you when it is ready for pickup. One person is allowed inside to pay and grab the order. Quick and easy!

The food was fantastic, everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and worth the wait. The service was just as good. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and kept things moving even though the place was packed. The only thing I thought was a little odd was that syrup for the pancakes was an extra charge instead of coming with them, but it definitely wasn't enough to take away from the experience. Just know there's probably going to be a wait, but honestly it's easy to see why. I'd happily wait again. We'll definitely be back!

When you have brunch with the girls it's hard to get a vote in and tbh I plan everything else we do so I'm happy to take a break on Sunday because I am god after all. Anyway I went on my own accord today. The service was beautiful. I really don't love having to order off of my phone because it limits the server to customer experience but despite that my server Mary made me feel super connected to her. She had great recommendations and knowledgeable descriptions of the menu. I sat on the patio with a nice breeze and minimal bugs. Seating was spacious and delightful. I got the brekwhich and it was soooooo delish. Mary could tell I was a freak so she had the crazy idea to put their locally farmed 3 berry jam on it. I told her it reminded me of that one episode of SpongeBob and I lost her :/. The savory plus the sweet was heaven in my heart. If he could he would, and apparently everyone's afraid of heaven. I also got my fav a BM (Bloody Mary). I didn't ask what mix they use like I usually do, I had faith. And I was right to do so. McClure's! MY FAVORITE TIED WITH VIVIOS! It came with a spicy peppery rim which was aight but that's not really my thing, I'm not that freaky! But I don't yuck anyone's yum. I also got the NEW lavender mimosa. Fragrant, festive and fastidious. It was a bright light that woke me up in a way only summer light is able to do. Angels are blinding, I hope Mary can still see because she took a peak in my heart to deliver the best experience. 10/10 will be back Side note I really don't get poutine for breakfast but I appreciate people sticking with brand. And I don't have to order that :)
