    Outdoor patio

Excellent service and friendly staff. Cute little cafe and they really make the most out of their space. They also have a spacious outdoor patio that looks lovely. Free parking lot in back so that's helpful in Corktown. You'll use your phone to scan the QR code to see the menu and place your order and pay. So convenient. The food is pretty good. They have vegan and vegetarian options. My breakfast poutine with tempeh and mushroom gravy on the side was okay. Maybe I didn't order the right thing but I wasn't wowed by the food and I really wanted to be. The fries were already soft/soggy and all the components tasted a bit bland. The lavender latte was excellent. My mom enjoyed her cheeseburger. She got it without lettuce or tomatoes so she could just focus on the burger and special sauce. My mom also said the bathrooms are very clean and nice. The space fills up quickly with people and it's loud. It was hard to hear each other and I felt like I had to speak loudly. Cute place and positive vibes.

My friend suggested we grab brunch here before a day of shopping. I arrived a little early and grabbed a spot in line. They open at 10am, and I am so glad I arrived when I did, as the line grew quickly. Once the doors were open, everyone found a table. I enjoyed having the ability to order via QR code. The menu has gluten free and vegan options available. Food was fresh and quick. The mushroom poutine was delicious! Prices are reasonable for the area and the quality of ingredients.

This spot was close to our hotel so Nate and I stopped in for breakfast one morning during our stay. We were greeted right away and led to a table. The space is cozy and small so expect a wait during peak times. They do have outdoor seating for warmer months. Our server was super friendly and gave us the rundown of ordering, which is done via QR code at your table. I really liked this option as you can customize things to your liking and they will bring it right out. I got the mushroom and swiss omelette with a side kale Caesar salad, and Nate got the vegan breakfast sandwich with a fruit cup. I really appreciated the vegan and healthier options on the menu. Our food came out quickly and looked delicious. The kale Caesar salad was so good and one of the best I've ever had. The kale was perfectly dressed and flavorful. I wish I knew how they made their dressing because I loved it. The omelette was tasty and everything was so yummy and fresh. I like that they use local sourcing as much as possible. Even though you order through a QR code, people will still check in with you and refill waters and get you anything you need. I'm so glad we tried this spot and I would come back!

Wow, what a great find! We were staying in Corktown and walked over here to grab breakfast. It's pretty easy to order there... You sit down, scan the QR code, pick your food, and pay up front. It came out in a timely fashion. Breakfast poutine was tasty, and the coffee was plentiful. Banana walnut pancakes were good! This is a solid brunch spot, definitely recommend.

Brooklyn Street Local is an amazing little brunch spot located in Corktown. We finally got to try this spot while staying downtown Detroit. The food was delicious! We started with lattes; coffee & chai. The poutine is authentic & helped the hangover! Speaking of hangover, the hangover special was my choice, and it delivered! He opted for the banana pancakes, delicious! We will definitely be back here!

The only complaint I would have of this place is the seating, which always makes me feel entirely too close to my neighbors. I have observed waitstaff sometimes struggle navigating between and over tables. Anyways, I haven't sat outside yet, which I'm sure would be great on a nice day. I love their food and their lattes, but the coffee is just OK. You order individually through a QR code on your app and it comes in a reasonable amount of time! I recommend coming 5-30 min after this restaurant opens as it gets busy quickly. IMO the amount of people inside will either help or hurt your experience

I had been here before and I was all ready to order. They changed the menu on me. I now was unsure of what I wanted. I chose to branch out and try something different. It was a good decision. The food was tasty. First you have to order from the app or the bar. Once seated there is a QR code at the table to place your order. What I don't like is you can't ask questions. You order, pay, and then the food comes. It's a small place with limited seating inside. You can also eat outside as well.

I loved the crispy, tender fries and flavorful beef gravy. I wish the curds were larger and a bit more melty.

This small Corktown eatery was on my list for years - I will travel long distances for poutine. So when a friend suggested this place for brunch, I was beyond excited. Of course, I arrived early for our meet-up. I'm always worried about getting lost, despite an assist from Google, and finding parking. If I'm early, it only means more reading time from the comfort of my car. When the diner opened for the day, there was already a small line up and tables filled up quickly. My friend and I pulled up the menu via the QR code and we placed our order and paid through the same code. The food was brought to our table when it was ready. I ordered the large poutine without hesitation. Plain, no bacon or eggs to spoil the dish. The fries were crispy and delicious and the beef gravy was flavorful. Unfortunately, the cheese curds were small and had not had a chance to melt yet. The croque madam was incredible. I loved the tangy, grilled sourdough with bacon and Swiss cheese. The maple mustard and bechamel sauce elevated the taste of the sandwich. The fried egg was yum. Glad I made it a madam. Service was quick and friendly. We were done within an hour and noticed that most of the neighboring tables had already emptied. So, waiting in the morning might not be all that bad.

The video surveillance should have also captured the moment I was bear hugged, dragged through a dark hallway, and eventually thrown into a white sign outside. I received bruises and luckily nothing major happened like landing wrong on my head and getting a concussion and possible death (should I have had a bad landing after being tossed by this lady). As she grabbed me and before she threw me to the ground I pled with her that she did not need to do this, but she was very angry (probably because she was working on Halloween and saw me with 3 beautiful girls and she couldn't handle how well the costume looked on me - just speculating here.) I went to this place on Halloween 2025, by the time I was assaulted it was November 1st, 2025 because it was past midnight. I was with 3 other girls (I am a male). We waited in line to get in. I was dressed up as Spider-Man and the girl I was with was Catwoman. I am of Western European descent and maybe that was the issue, I was racially profiled by the woman hostess/bouncer because she was letting in the rest of the people except me and my crew. I proceeded to take my phone out and record her after the assault and take pictures of her so I could later report her. On top of that, there were gunshots nearby so I decided to uber home and report this later instead of right away with the owner. I am going to follow up with this place to make sure we can come to some understanding that assaulting customers is not ok and I will continue to spread the word about my experience if I am not adequately satisfied with their resolution (if there is one). Again, this place is bad news and you should stay away. I am willing to change this review if an apology and some sort of incentive is offered.

And upon learning this, it seemed pretty universal that Duly's was the favorite of all of them. So when my friend and I drove in from Cleveland, Duly's was literally our first stop. We waited maybe 5 minutes for a couple of seats to open up, and promptly ordered a couple of coney's each. I'm not exaggerating when I say I was taking my first bite less than 3 minutes later. And they were quite tasty. So tasty, in fact, that I ordered a third one. And some coffee to avoid a food coma. And my grand total was $13 lol. The last time I paid $13 for a meal was.... the early 2010's? Kudos to Duly's for running a quick, affordable operation here!
