It felt more like a political soapbox than an educational course. The second instructor did stay more on topic, but then shifted into promoting a legal protection membership (USCCA) that costs about $400 a year, which came across more like a sales pitch than meaningful training. Overall, I left feeling that the class didn't deliver what was advertised. I expected professional instruction on concealed carry requirements, but instead got politics and promotions. I don't think it was worth what I paid, and I'd hesitate to recommend it to others unless the course content is refocused on actual firearms education.

This is a top notch facility to begin with and their train programs are exceptional, however that is for a different review. So Day one was a defensive rifle class. Essentially a steroid laden defensive pistol class using carbines AND pistols. What's not to like so far right? This class is built on the premise that, a student could be a SOTA team member or a 1st time beginner. Day two was just pistols. Defensive, real world self defense, in home, and out, pistol tactics. Once again, skill level is NOT a requisite. Run what you brung, and learn the ins and outs of it and you! These guys have an exceptionally vast amount of knowledge and experience they are willing to share, and to top it off they are genuinely great guys to just sit and talk to. If you looking to take a quality, tool building, weapons class, these guys are your answer. I've taken several and these are BY FAR, a couple of the most comprehensive and inclusive classes I've taken.

I had a really good time, with some caveats. The store was easy to walk through and get signed up to shoot. Not busy at lunchtime on Wednesday. Their bows are basic compound bows with no let-off and (on the one I used) no sights. I was given a few arrows, I bought a target, and I carried them to the archery range, which was easy to find. But I quickly found out that shooting without a release really hurts your fingers. I asked the store if they had any, but they had none available -- not even any for sale. Luckily, another archer had a spare leather tab, and he let me use it. Thank you! I set up my target fairly close, and I just had a good time shooting! I was terrible at first, of course, but the other archers were polite and helpful. The vibe in there was very chill and felt very safe. I'd definitely go again, though it'll be best if I have my own equipment next time.
