Once again LEGACY top notch. Courteous, very reasonably priced, clean lane with working target machine. I even wrongly kicked a crumpled target down the lane to quickly dispatch of it without just using the garbage can, and the desk attendant wan't angry and let me know he'd sweep it out forthwith. I came to try out the archery range and see if it's a hobby I want to start. Their website told me it was inexpensive and didn't need a reservation. I had a really good time, with some caveats. The store was easy to walk through and get signed up to shoot. Not busy at lunchtime on Wednesday. Their bows are basic compound bows with no let-off and (on the one I used) no sights. I was given a few arrows, I bought a target, and I carried them to the archery range, which was easy to find. But I quickly found out that shooting without a release really hurts your fingers. I asked the store if they had any, but they had none available -- not even any for sale. Luckily, another archer had a spare leather tab, and he let me use it. Thank you! I set up my target fairly close, and I just had a good time shooting! I was terrible at first, of course, but the other archers were polite and helpful. The vibe in there was very chill and felt very safe. I'd definitely go again, though it'll be best if I have my own equipment next time. read more

The range is good, perhaps even above average for the salt lake valley but the prices are not good. This is easily the most expensive range in the valley but it is not the best. read more

Bought a membership there and renewed. Range is exceptional, staff is always friendly and helpful. The even replace the target backing boards when I asked them and calmly replaced some clips I was careless enough (read: poor shot) when one of my rounds trashed it. No recriminations. read more

Review during COVID. Limiting to 15 people in the store area to keep physical distancing. Go to their website for details on the two shooting ranges and archery range. But if you don't want to do the legwork, 25yd ranges. Action Target digital target controls. Type in your exact distance for the target. Range fee kinda pricey but not out of line. In this time where there are fewer ranges and having to resort to mail order to get parts, it's refreshing to see a fully stocked store. They have a good selection of new and used firearms at alright prices. Their walls are full of the usual accessories but also parts for the more common firearms. Open everyday, yes, that includes Sunday. I hope to update this when I get a chance to try out the ranges. read more

Decent range, range fees are reasonable. Easy to use automated system with yardage controlled by a mounted tablet. Will definitely go again. I didn't give it a 5 star rating since it was my first time there. I rarely do top ratings unless my experience was way beyond expectations. read more

Dear legacy I have spent hundreds of dollars here at your rang and even took private lessons my experience with my private lesson was great it was one on one and the older gentleman who took the time to show me was amazing I was so excited to be there and to come back sadly this was my only good experience I don't know what is going on in this store maybe it is management I would say that 85 percent of the staff is just down right rude and now I am tired of it and will move on I use to go every week for almost a year and bought guns here I will not be doing this anymore I hope things change read more

Some of the most knowledgeable firearm folks in town. Prices are reasonable, and sales are usually pretty good. Everyone here is patient, and takes time to explain similarities and differences between guns. The range is small, and the booths are fairly tight, but absolutely serviceable. read more

With so many indoor shooting options available, this place is in my humble opinion pretty much middle of the road. Unfortunately, when you pull up, the parking lot is beyond full, but then you come to find out that this is really just a corporate office with a shooting range attached to it. So that was quite strange. The attendants are all rather standoffish and short as you come through the doors. No one is overly friendly and no one really makes you feel like you should come back where instead, you kind of feel weird for going in with guns and ammunition, to shoot, which I have to admit, is very strange because this is a gun range. I'll told with so many different options in the valley, we probably will go shoot somewhere else from now on. read more

It's sort of sketchy that the employees aren't allowed to conceal carry on the job. So just make sure you don't go there unless you're packing. Other than that they did a great job helping me buy a Glock. Lots of gear too. read more

Horrible customer service if they make a mistake they get mad at you and don't watch their shooters a shooter loaded and chambered a round while sitting on the waiting bench then proceeded to point it at several people including myself. Range master nowhere to be seen cause he was too busy getting mad at a customer for the range masters mistake total joke of a shooting facility. read more

This is the 4th time that I have walked in with at least an hour left to shoot and have some person like the many they have (the ones who work there and are annoyed that you came in) say "oh we have maintenance". Here is an idea- Don't do maintenance during business hours and at least act like you want the customers there, never once have I had these issues at TNT in midvale. read more

Too long, didn't read: One of the rangemasters touched my gun and belongings while I wasn't present, and lied claiming they did not touch my gun. I can't in good conscience recommend this store to anyone after my experience yesterday. What was supposed to be a fun day out to the range turned awry when I had a few bad experiences with one of the rangemasters. A couple of friends and I got settled into our lanes to start our session, my friend fired my SKS and emptied the magazine before I took my turn. After finishing, I exited the shooting lanes to readjust my ears passing the rangemaster in question as I was exiting. As I was readjusting my ears, I looked through the glass window and found him going through my ammo bag while I was not present and I made my way back to my shooting lane. I was not happy with him going through my belongings but I did not voice my opinions as he told me the Wolf brand ammo I was shooting couldn't be used in the range. I agreed to remove any Wolf brand ammo from my ammo bag and exited the facilities to my car leaving my gun with my friends to watch over. As I was seperating my ammo, my friend had informed me that the rangemaster had touched my gun and I was inclined to believe him since he had touched my ammo while I wasn't present. I went back inside mainly to ask if he had touched my gun; he had given me two free range session tokens as compensation for the bad experience I've had with him but ultimately he claims to have not touched my gun. Thankfully, there are cameras on each shooting lane so if the rangemaster truly has not touched my gun then there should be solid video evidence (Lane 5 at ~3-4pm 7/26) to show it and I will edit this review accordingly if I am mistaken. I will not be conducting business with Legacy Shooting Center again and urge anyone willing to patronize this business to reconsider. read more

Legacy is always my go to shooting range. They have a pretty good selection of guns to look at, as well as rent. An awesome wall of accessories and supplies. And above all, an amazing staff. Everyone working there is always ready to help and very informative. You can always find yourself having some pretty cool conversations with the staff that aren't even gun related. The employees at Legacy are just good people and that's why I go back time after time. I've never walked out of Legacy in a bad mood, and they always have me coming back smiling. read more

This place is a must first of all right as you walk in the door you have the range and store, on the other side there is a coffee shop. The store has a rather large selection of ammo and guns with accessories there is a private lane are and also just lanes together the employees are nice and helpful pricing is good and the process is easy I recommend for beginners or experienced people it is a good time for anyone. read more

Lousy service. I am a first time handgun owner. The salesman acted like he was doing me a favor and was very unhelpful. In hindsight I should have walked out the door and gone somewhere else. On top of lousy service the salesman did not tell me they were out of ammo for that gun. A 1 Star review is a gift. Don't make a purchase at Legacy!!!! read more

We purchased a Sig firearm at a fantastic price. The pistol was out of stock at numerous local stores but thanks to a Sig deal not only did I buy the gun but I saved big. I have been back serval times and the facility is top notch. When I was unable to find 9mm ammo, Legacy had it. They have become my go-to gun and ammo store. The staff has been fantastic. I believe they even offer free pistol cleanings on the weekends. Alpha Coffee is located in the building and their drinks and treats cant be missed. read more

Terrible experience attempting to sell firearms. Pricing was agreed upon but I had to go back 3 times to close the deal and never got it done. They never had the cash. Kept telling me to come back. Would not give a time as to when they would be ready. The guy that was helping me made no effort to streamline the process. Worst customer experience. They will not get any more business from me and I typically spend 5-8k per year on shooting. read more

They need to change their name. I took my 9-year-old son to go shooting, and found out they have an age limit of 10 years old. I've taken my son to multiple other ranges without a problem, but we recently moved, and this was the closest range to our new home. If they truly are interested in creating a legacy of shooting, they wouldn't have such a high age limit. Their website makes an emphasis of being family friendly and doesn't say anything about an age limit. Since I've taken him other places I just assumed we would be fine, but instead we had to drive across the valley to another range. I doubt I'll go back even when I'm not going with my son. read more
