Frisbee golf? You got it. Golf golf? You got it. Sledding? You got it. XX Skiiing. BYO, but got that too! Hiking here is a pleasure, and there are so many trails and different types of landscapes. Blue Loop is a wooded wonderland. But is there a way around the Yellow Loop without having to walk on water? LMK! Can't wait to get back to Whitnall Park.

Very nice multi-use Milwaukee County Park! I came here for a run, and it fit the bill on a nice…read morepaved path and also on the mowed grass trail. The area is perfect for a run, walk, hike with pup, or for an extended bike ride on the trail, heading north of Puetz Road. If you enter via 51st, there's a large parking lot closer to the nice newer kid's playground (not to be confused with the handicap accessible Kayla's Playground, nearby at Franklin Woods). There's also a small covered picnic area, bathrooms, and a frisbee golf course. The frisbee golf course just got paved "tee off areas", and I saw volunteers tending to them, and a few "golfers" out on a recent warm day. You can also access from the Milwaukee County Sports Complex. Froemming Park is top notch, and a nice example of adapting park use for local residents.

And another location to rent the 4 wheel bikes. Park is clean and picnic tables available. Not too many people were there on July 5, I'm pretty sure the place was crowded on July 4 for the fireworks. There is a pier that few people were standing and fishing. Not sure if they caught any fish.

While it is a nice park, I prefer Lake Vista Park, which is located directly next door to the north. If I visit Bender Park in the evening, I've noted on multiple visits that certain drivers tend to speed recklessly through the parking lot. The other plus to Lake Vista is it does have a playground for kids, while Bender does not. Only other complaint is that the WE Energies plant to the south is a bit of an eyesore in an otherwise scenic location.

My husband and I were recently scouting great kayak locations and secondarily solid fishing locales…read morefor my dad. Our scouting trip brought us (aptly) to Scout Lake Park. For our purpose (kayaking), it's a no-go. It's has more of a pond vibe (both in size and wildlife) and just really isn't a good spot for kayaking (or paddleboarding for that matter). There are signs that say no boats (not sure if that includes kayaks). All in all, it's just not the best spot for it. There is a platform/dock that extends over the lake that we saw some folks fishing from it while we were there. There are a couple benches for sitting while fishing or you could easily bring your own chairs as well. I read that they stock the lake with fish so could be a nice spot for that. My dad is more into fishing from the banks and the foliage at the banks here makes this not the best spot for that either. That said it is a lovely lake and there's a pretty nice trail that extends around it that would be good for either biking or walking. We walked it while we were there and it doesn't take very long to traverse the entire loop around the lake and the views of the lily pad adorned lake were lovely. One note I'll make is that there was an unfortunate amount of trash in the lake near the doc which was such a bummer. But, beyond that sad note--a great spot for an evening stroll.

Checked out some of the trails but they weren't too well maintained. We primarily stopped by for a beer garden and car show. If you don't pay the fee beforehand online, you'll receive something in the mail about a month later. Surprised they charge this much considering they don't put more into their park. I'd rather check out a different free park in the area, like Whitnall.

The year pass is worth it if you would visit more than 6 times/visit any of the other Waukesha Parks. I went this past visit with my pup to paddle board- I personally wouldn't go again for this since it really is a pond and the water is a bit stinky and quite yucky! If we would have fallen in the water I would have been so upset so we only did one lap and then I let him play some water fetch. I do love the expanse of trails however and it looks like they have a beer garden set up as well. I'll come back just not for the water portion here

Tons of parking available. A huge amount of picnic table seating around the small stage. Plenty of activities happen all throughout the week.On the different days. The beer garden has a wide selection of beverages and also has large refillable beer stein's available for purchase. All the food that came out of the kitchen looked absolutely amazing. We tried the kenosha Pizza and also the pretzel, which was accompanied with somersausage cheese, curds, a delicious mustard and an absolutely incredible cream cheese type dip.I highly recommend it. Music was done at nine o'clock and the beer garden closes at ten. Played an interesting game which you can view in the photos. Very kid and dog friendly with a playground and dog park nearby. Wasn't able to walk through the rest of the park , but had an amazing time just at the beer garden. Stay thirsty my friends.

There is a lot going on at this park. + Free spring water where you can fill up your own jugs. + A dog park + A beer garden (though unfortunately it was closed given it is off season) + A golf course + Plenty of picnic areas and shelters + Hiking trails + Bike trails + A raging river (spring runoff) + Many playgrounds + Free Wifi (given the ravine it is in cell service was spotty - at least T-Mobile) The one negative is that a number of the picnic shelters do not have convenient parking nearby - it is a very odd set-up. Overall a real gem for this community.

It has a small playground and a couple of picnic tables, but that's about it. So, why the four stars? It faces a huge grassy area that is pretty nice for watching wildlife, whether you're looking at swallows swooping up and down after mosquitoes, or deer grazing in the tall grass. On one end of the park,the lawn gives way to trees and shrubs. Behind the playground is a bit of lawn, and more trees. Behind the trees starts a fairly quiet neighborhood that I bet many people don't know exists. On the other end of the park is Meadow Drive and, across the street, is the home of Bill Radler, breeder of the Knock Out rose! His yard is beautiful to look at as you sit in the parking lot of the park... 32/2018
