Michelle is insanely awesome. She was very professional and spoke with me on the phone for over twenty minutes and answered all of my questions before I even made an appointment- she is knowledgeable about all things laser hair removal and made me feel very comfortable. She is very flexible with scheduling appointments and was even able to see me the next day. She has a great rate special for sessions & packages and even has referral programs where you get a free session if you refer a friend. I was very nervous to go get this procedure done (I am a huge wimp when it comes to pain) but she calmed me down throughout the process, recommended I get numbing cream before the session, and made me feel at ease (the whole procedure itself only took about 3-5 minutes). Her office is in the back of her husband's chiropractor practice Back N Place, which is not very well signed, but she has her own area with a state of the art machine and I would highly recommend going to her for this procedure. I started my laser hair reduction journey a decade ago at a different spot in Austin. I experienced acceptable results after 10 treatments, but nothing like the results I have received from the 5 I have had from Michele at Smooth Laser!! She is very professional and upfront with what to expect from the treatments, and I could not be more satisfied with my results. I have only great things to say about Michele and her business. First off, her impeccable, thorough work made the biggest impression on me. Although I used to see some of her other employees towards the beginning of my first session (and they were fine)- Michele's quality of work is unparalleled. Of course, there are always problems areas that are generally tough to get rid of. However, I definitely noticed improvement once I started seeing Michele regularly. I made note that she took her time with all areas evenly and equally, making me feel like I could trust that she wasn't rushing and truly wanted me to see results. No unnecessary upselling here. Second, her communication is amazing. I rarely need to text or call her, but when I do, she is quick to respond and always answers in a timely manner (if not right away). She is patient, understanding, and flexible with what works for YOU- despite probably seeing many, many clients now that the word is out. I want to add that I think she is incredibly personable in that she remembers names and details that you may have told her weeks (or months!) ago, which I appreciate in the sense that it doesn't make me feel like "just another paying client". Last but not least, you simply cannot beat her prices and loyalty to those who have continuously used her services. For a lifetime of (mostly) no hair growth for minimally lasting (~10 min.) pain - this is *definitely* worth the investment....I am obsessed! As someone who has never done laser hair removal before and is now on her 10th session- I am wowed by the process and the results. The only qualm I have is that I did not start this treatment sooner and dealt with years of painful waxes and ingrowns...only to have to repeat again and again. Michelle is friendly, professional, and flexible. I had laser hair removal for my underarms. It's been a few months since my last treatment (7 sessions total). I'd say 50% of my hair has grown back, but it's all very fine. None of the thick/coarse hair has grown back, so shaving is a snap. No more razor rash! read more

I cannot recommend Smooth Laser Spa highly enough! I started getting semi-regular full Brazilian laser hair removal treatments last year at a well-known and good laser clinic in Austin. For my first session, I got Michelle as my tech (she now owns and operates Smooth Laser Spa, but last year, I met her while she was working at this other clinic). As it turns out, I get pretty bad histamine reactions to these treatments, and the treated area becomes red and welty for about 24 hrs after each session. (This is very rare, and I think the results are worth the pain, so don't worry!) I also am in 10x the pain of the vast majority of customers, to the point that I have often considered not continuing with the process. Since I discovered that I have this unfortunate reaction DURING my first session, I was shocked and confused and worried, not understanding what was happening. Michelle calmed me immediately and assured me that she had seen this before, though it was rare, and that we could stop at any time if I wanted to. When many techs would have encouraged the customer to keep going (hoping for a full session payment or tip), Michelle made sure I felt comfortable and safe. I left the session feeling reassured and grateful that I had gotten her as my tech! When Michelle left this other clinic to start her own, I knew that I would rather switch clinics than lose her care in treating me. Now at Smooth Laser Spa, Michelle has opened a small practice in the Hancock center within Back'n Place Chiropractic. I was happily surprised to see that she is using the newest, top-of-the-line technology, while most other clinics are still using machines from the early 2000's. As always, Michelle was warm, friendly, and caring, making me feel comfortable and empowered during the whole session. She provided squeezy-stress balls to hold (since I still feel pain during these sessions), and she kept me talking and comfortable the whole time. This was the least painful treatment I've had in months, and it was definitely the quickest and least stressful. Smooth Laser Spa's prices are more reasonable than most laser spas I've seen, and the treatment and customer service far superior. Michelle is extremely professional, knowledgable, and so kind. Her passion for what she does is tangible, and the care she gives her clients is unparalleled. I am so grateful that I was lucky enough to have her assigned as my first tech, so that I now know the gold standard of laser hair removal treatment. read more
