I stopped in here on one HOT afternoon after having not really eaten anything all day. I had never been to a Smoothie King before but I really liked it! I saw that the Matcha Tango smoothie was a meal replacement so I decided to get that. The employee recommended that I get it with mango so I did and it was delicious! This flavor was so delicious that when my friend picked up smoothies for us later in the week, I requested this same exact drink. Think food poisoning, employees who don't care, aren't friendly and just want to go home for the evening. I have visited twice in the last month. Both visits were bad. The first visit the smoothies were okay but they lied to me about their rewards program. I signed in on the touch pad at the check out even though the redhead said it doesn't work. I got a text after I left saying I got a $2 off my first order. Too late. Then last night I ordered the pineapple mango without yogurt. Well I got the opposite. It was a cup of yogurt. I'm lactose intolerant BTW. No fruit and then bonus was little slivers of what looked and felt like plastic. Gross! My boyfriend and I live nearby and have visited this Smoothie King frequently for about 2 years now because we enjoy the smoothies. We have had multiple poor experiences with customer service (slow, employees not knowing how to ring up or make the smoothies, employees not knowing about coupons) but after the experience we had this evening, we have decided we will not be returning. It is evident that the employees lack training and knowledge about the products. As expensive as Smoothie King is, I expect quality products and quality service, and you do not get that here. read more

I like a liquid lunch. The smothies are great.. they seem to be able to keep to the same standard on a regular basis. My only complaint is the staff changes constantly and the level of service varies considerably. I have been ignored or simply glared at and I have been welcomed and smiled at... the never seems to be a manager on the premises. read more

I am from out of town and we pull in to the parking like at 7:50. As we walk up to the door the worker and or manager walks towards the door shaking his head, turns off the light, and locks the door even though technical it still should be open. Horrible customer service. Even if there is no possible way to make a smoothie which honestly takes maybe a couple minutes, have the decency to at least apologize. read more

I'm glad I found this place since there's no Jamba Juice here in Charlottesville. I'm also glad they have a lot of their nutritional information printed out and laminated for customers to read. But I was a little disappointed that the nutritional information did not indicate common allergens (like dairy). The cashier tried to help me, but did not know the answer. I got over it and ordered a Celestial Cherry High because she knew for sure that had no dairy and was relatively low calorie when ordered without the turbinado . It was delicious! The smallest size if definitely more than enough, filling, and affordable. Even though they could not answer all of my questions, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. There are lots of options here, but be careful not to fall for some of the fake healthy smoothies and snacks. Some of their smoothies pack close to 1,000 calories in 20 ounces and some contain over 100 grams of sugar. That being said, it is possible to find a smoothie that fits your nutritional needs or just find a great tasting treat. read more
