Smoothie's are delicious when they get it right, which at this location seems to be rarely. I bet the food waste cost here is insane. Today I ordered a 20 oz smoothie and 3 other 20 oz smoothies as well I said I did not want a free upgrade. I get my receipt and see I was charged for a 32 oz... I go to tell them I just want a 20oz. Guy looks at me like I'm the idiot and exclaims that it is free upgrade. No it's not 1 (charged on receipt) and 2 I only want 20 oz. Any more is too much sugar and will make me feel sick. After he hands me my now free upgrade to the XL smoothie he says he can refund me a dollar which is the difference. SMH. It in fact was like $2 but not worth the time to wait when they will probably mess that up too. When did it become this hard to take a prefer for a smoothie and make the right size and kind... I see them adding extra juice or water all the time too. They don't follow the rules well here and the quality of the smoothies on a regular basis are way off. Stopped in as I had a BOGO coupon for the Healthy Rewards app expiring today, and enjoyed the clean space as well as a delicious pineapple pure recharge smoothie. My boyfriend got a peanut butter flavored smoothie that he really enjoyed as well, but as someone who doesn't frequent Smoothie King locations as much as I do, he found the menu pretty confusing. I tried to walk him through it, but it would've been nice to have one of the employees assist here. Instead they seemed busy cleaning areas and organizing, even though we came about 3 hours before closing. Inside was well orderly & organized, so you can tell the employees have that covered well. This place sells pre workout powder C4 for working out. On two separate occasions now, we have purchased this product and it is outdated, not kept in correct temperature or expired. Look at the pics. I just went for the first time today and got a smoothie, I paid almost 12$ for it, however I didn't like it. The two employees said they would make me a new one for free, so I picked a different one and it's really delicious! They said it was no problem and wanted me to be happy with what I got. This Smoothie King is SO DIFFICULT ! Every time I make the trip to go into this establishment when I am in Clearwater , it's always an issue . Today I attempted to order a Almond Mocha smoothie and realized AFTER I ordered it that it has non-fat milk in it. After I spoke to the employee and asked if I could get almond milk as a substitute , she said yes . Then a few minutes later she told me she was sorry she already put the nonfat milk in there . I told the young lady that I was allergic to milk and she said the whey protein has milk in it . When I asked for it to be remade , there appeared to be an issue with doing so. The gentlemen behind the counter were working efficiently and together as a team. It was awesome to see teamwork and communication come together to get the line down. I know several things. The Mangofest Smoothie is my fave. The pricing on a Power Crunch energy bar is ridiculous! I buy these as I eat one before every running race or Triathlon I do! I can buy them at Publix 3 for $4. I've also bought them by the box for a lower price. This is the only Smoothie King I've been to, so the first time I visited I didn't have any set expectations. I was majorly pregnant at the time and just craving any combination of fruit. That being said, I was definitely in the right place. I've kept coming back ever since. The store, size wise, is nothing more and nothing less than it should be. The west wall is covered with a variety of healthful snacks and dietary supplements, while the north fall features the menu and the east wall is where the magic happens. My favorite part of Smoothie King is their menu. They actually show you how many calories are in each smoothie, for all three sizes of it. I didn't really care about back in my preggo days, but as a calorie counter now it definitely makes it easy to make a more educated decision. The service here is relatively quick. A handmade, freshly blended smoothie from this place is worth waiting for, though. My go-to is always the Immune Builder, which is a tasty concoction of strawberries & bananas, with some extra nutrients thrown in for good measure. I really wanted to hate this place as I used to work at Planet Smoothie waaaaay back in the day. But I can't help it. The ladies here are very friendly (once they warm up to you) and the smoothies are exactly what I need. I was going to Tropical Smoothie until I found out that it was not as healthy as I thought it was. Most people I think go get smoothies for the health factor, which is why I go there. Smoothie King is awesome about telling you exactly what is in each smoothie and helping you determine what it is that you're looking for. For example, I am trying to avoid carbs. So I drink the Gladiator with peanut butter and strawberries. Perfect for my type diet. And I think the smoothies taste great. Very pleased with this location as well. They are immature children who clearly think they are better then everyone else and that their time at their job is more important worrying about themselves then it is to worry about their customers. It's Saturday morning so it was pretty busy inside. But there was only one boy by himself making the drinks, so the wait was pretty long.
