I explained that I had never been there before but generally knew how I liked my smoothies and had some questions. She snapped back, "We don't do fruit smoothies; they're protein-based." Given that the place is connected to a gym, I assumed that was obvious, but fine. I clarified that I was indeed there for a protein-based smoothie, and I noticed fruit listed on the menu. When I asked if they could add fruit to the smoothie, a different woman chimed in aggressively, saying, No fruit at all. The entire experience felt hostile and unwelcoming. As I'm driving home and drinking my smoothie I continue to bit down on something hard, initially Im thinking its the fruit- but I keep biting down on a new pieces with each sip- I finally begin to spit out what are clearly small pieces of plastic all in my drink!!!!! Its not even 8a and traffic in this part of town is crazy, I immediately call the establishment and speak to the manager, letting her know to please check the inventory- check the sweet strawberries, pineapples, or the strawberry gladiator mix because there's multiple pieces of plastic contaminated in my drink- the manager says- "what youre tasting is the core of the pineapple"! I tell her Im looking at the plastic in my hand right now!! You think I dont know the difference between pineapple and plastic! She tells me she's looking at the batch now and doesnt see anything. One of our smoothies is half melted, the other tasted very odd, but the pretzel bites are the only reason they got two stars instead of one. The management of the place was completely off I guess. All in all, I won't be visiting again anytime soon.
