In a town that lacks quality coffee options, it's definitely worth veering off the beaten track to grab a cuppa in this cute coffee shop downtown. I had a maple latte of some kind (I can't remember the name) that had maple syrup, a touch of white chocolate syrup and it was cinnamon-infused. I don't normally get hot coffee, but he said it's not the best choice iced, so I went with it. (He had me at "cinnamon-infused"). It was described as a "less sweet" coffee, so I was surprised by the first sip. It was sweet--I thought TOO sweet. But as I settled in to sips 3 and 4, it didn't seem quite so sugary. Italian Soda say WHAT?!? I will be back every day for this refreshing drink! A friend who was also fetching a refreshing afternoon treat told me to try the Italian cream with half-and-half. I also added a bit of blackberry. Now I must come back and try every single flavor. The second drink in the photo is the Italian soda with the George peach flavoring and it was also delectable. I also had to try the cream puff and now I will need that every single day. The ladies and gentlemen who work there are always so friendly. And the shop is always so clean. This afternoon there was a homeschool group meeting inside and it was joyous. Watching those young people socializing, and playing games was so much fun to witness. read more

Very nice atmosphere. I even purchased two paintings while waiting for my chai tea latte. My only disappointment was that the chai was waaay too spicy. The barista was very nice and offered to remake it & the second one was too spicy as well. Their baked goods are delicious. Parking is the only downside. Be prepared to have to park in the public parking behind Lee street. No fun walking there on a typical Texas day! read more

I absolutely loved this place! It's so close to home. The ambiance is so comforting and welcoming. They have such cute little touches to their decor. I especially loved the little table in the middle that looked like it had spilled coffee on it. Their customer service is amazing. The girl that helped me was really nice and didn't make me feel rushed to order. Now, to the good part, the coffee was absolutely delicious. There is a good variety of pastries and quiches to choose from, though, in my honest opinion, the blueberry muffin was a little on the dry side. Very impressed! We are camping down the road and decided to stop by Prairie Coffee Co. to try out an espresso, as well as a black cup of coffee.
