I got to Smoothie King at 826pm and tried to open the door and it was locked. My kid loves smoothie king. So we went to Smoothie king because her braces made her teeth hurt, so i wanted to go here. When we tried to walk in the door was locked. The employee looked at us and wagged her finger back and forth. It was 826pm, on the door it said closed at 9pm and online 845pm. I never went to a place where they closed early. I drove there thinking they would be open. If online would have said 830pm. I wouldn't have drove there. Since it said 845pm they should have been opened. On the door it says 9pm. This is the worst smoothie king ever. If anyone wants to go here make sure you go at 8pm or earlier. I had a disappointing experience at this Smoothie King location. I've been ordering the Pineapple Surf smoothie for years, and it's always made the same way when I go to the Pflugerville location. This was my first time visiting this store, and my drink was not made correctly. When I politely told the employee that the drink didn't taste right and wasn't the right color, she told me she couldn't remake it unless I paid again. While helping me, she was also talking with her friend the entire time, which felt unprofessional. I've always had great experiences at Smoothie King before, so this was surprising. Noticed this location has a plethora of negative reviews, but no recent reviews so I feel compelled to speak to my own personal experiences. I am a personal trainer, have been for 9 years, and worked at a Smoothie King for my first job way back in 2007. I'm familiar with both the service industry and the basics of how Smoothie King operates (though a lot has changed in almost 20 years). I have been frequenting this specific location for over a year now and I have yet to have a poor experience. In fact, it has been the opposite. This may come as a shock to some, but you can mess up a smoothie pretty easily. It can be too icy or too watery very easily. If you have consumed multiple smoothies in your lifetime, you're already aware of the horrors of drinking an icy smoothie. Every single smoothie I have purchased from this location has been either perfect or close to perfect. I have never experienced a poor interaction with the staff and they've provided the expected level of service to both myself and those I observe around me during each visit. The person, who I assume, is the manager on duty during the day has been nothing but exceptional during each visit, even asking "what smoothie are you waiting for" if she feels as though her customer may have been waiting too long for a smoothie. I highly recommend the high protein chocolate, add peanut butter, if a high protein drink aligns with your health and fitness goals. Regardless, the reviews of the past do not reflect the current state of this location. Go ahead and give them a chance if you're searching for a smoothie in the area. read more

I went into Smoothie King this morning to buy a smoothie for my son who is recovering from oral surgery. There was a single female employee who was audibly grumbling and cursing about all of the online orders. She told me that I would have to wait. While I was waiting, another customer came into the store to pick up one of the online orders and was rudely told the wait would be really long. She was so rude that the customer scurried outside presumably to wait in the safety of a car. She angrily filled a few online orders and then finally made her way to the counter where I was standing. She dramatically and angrily started to pull additional online orders from the printer while I stood there. I told her that I would probably need to go if I couldn't place an order until she handled all of the online orders. She rudely replied that yes, I should leave and go find another Smoothie King location. She was clearly overwhelmed and should not have been working alone if the store is that busy, but there was no excuse for her rudeness. She could have nicely explained the situation to the waiting customers and apologized for the wait/asked for patience. I have never experienced such poor customer service. I went next door to Hat Creek and bought a milkshake from a very cheery employee instead. I won't visit Smoothie King again. read more

I lived off Smoothie King when I went through chemo and radiation at my neck. Most people get feeding tubes and I chose not to. The Peanut power Plus in it's biggest size had enough calories for me to keep my weight up. It felt so goooooooodd on my poor throat and it was the only thing I could actually kind of taste. I added vitamins to help. I love the peanut power plus and continue to get them when I can and as my taste buds return this is my number one craving! The store itself is hit and miss. We have been frequenting this location for many years. Things have changed recently in terms of quality and customer service. There is a big sign on their window and in their store that says "free upgrades for all on Friday". We have used this promotion in the past. Today when I ordered my typical 20 oz, I remembered it was Friday and asked for the upgrade. However, I was asked if I had the app on my phone for the promotion. I do not as I do not have the memory on my phone for every store app and it has never been an issue in the past. Usually the store would just upgrade automatically without even asking. The gentleman said the manager has changed policy and now will only honor if you use the app. Well that is not what it states on the sign. So the gentleman gave me the larger size and charged me for it because I didn't use the app - even though I pointed out the sign said otherwise. It was a new flavor of smoothie I wanted to try, so definitely would have just done the 20 oz had I known he was charging for the 32 oz. Very annoying that he went ahead and gave me the big size but then charged. On a prior trip I paid extra for some additional peanut butter in my bowl - and it looked like no more than the standard drizzle was added even though I paid the upcharge. If I could give less then one star this would be the place! 1st off we came in at 9am so the place was empty and clean. There was a 30 ish guy and little older lady he seemed to be training. I usually go to Juiceland, when I say usually I mean every day. But Juiceland was closed due to staff shortage. Smoothie King was a whole different vibe. I ask the guy about some bowl options and he didn't even look my way, just started wiping the counters. Helps reply was " no substitutions" I said ok and ask for an add on as there are add on options and he rudely said "no substitutions" lol I said I understood that and would just like a scoop of gogi berries on top. And he said "no we don't do that" with that he rolls his eyes to the lady . I was really suppress I was talking to and adult. I got my bowl and took 2 bite and had to toss it. In every location we have lived we have been frequenting a Smoothie King after working out for years. In March we moved out to Spicewood and of course this became our place. We have given it many tries and about every 3rd time something happens. Which is a lot when you are there 5x-6x a week. Either an ingredient is missing or staff is clueless. I keep saying to my man an adult needs to be present to coach these guys because they really have no clue. Brought my daughter here through the drive-through after a sports game as all she wanted was smoothie king. Apple Maps said it was open until 930pm and we got there just before 9. The person asked our name for an order, proceeded to ask us we wanted the special and we said we would just take a bowl. They said we can't do a bowl because it is too close to closing at 9pm. No problem - totally understand (even if the time was incorrectly posted online...no issues at all). We then asked for a small 20oz smoothie instead. The manager then gets on the intercom and proceeds to say, well now it is 9pm so we won't take any order at all and refused to serve us anything (even though they took or name for an order and was willing to literally one minute earlier). For a place just opening, not the best customer service experience. Understand it was closing time (which was incorrectly posted online) but why start to take an order to then immediately say no and turn away/ask your customer to leave. I used to love going to this location, but things have changed. I stop in frequently on $5 Friday's because my boys love their smoothies. This last Friday, the staff was incredibly rude and so off putting, we won't be back. I ordered 4 drinks, typically they put them in a drink carrier when they see one person with multiple beverages....not this time. So I asked for a drink carrier to which she grabbed one and slammed it on the counter and walked away. She's was obviously very annoyed by the simple ask of having drinks in a carrier. I proceeded to leave after I placed all my drinks in the carrier. One of the drinks was mine so I tasted it and it was awful! It's was like they forgot to add every ingredient except ice and flavorless strawberries. So I went back in and explained that my smoothie definitely wasn't what I ordered and had zero pineapple taste to it, to which she replied "Did any of them taste like pineapple?" Seriously? No, the only one that is supposed to taste like pineapple doesn't and is actually pretty nasty. The employee, once again annoyed, grabs it out of my hand and proceeds to remake it. When she finished, she slid my drink across the counter and walked away. There was no "sorry about that" or any sort of customer service what so ever. I was shocked by the attitude of this young girl who clearly lacks in the Customer service department. 0/10 would recommend for anyone to visit here. I've only been here twice, and each time the staff has been rude, short, and disrespectful. Today was the final straw in going here, and I am only leaving this review so that others are aware of the abysmal service that this Smoothie King provides. Unfortunately, we were charged for more than what we had ordered, and let the employee making the drinks know. Before he could even respond, the manager just brushed us off as if that's what we ordered. Instead of mitigating the issue, the manager proceeded to yell at us and tell us that she knew we left a bad review here before (which isn't possible since it was only my second time), and that we didn't need to come if we didn't like the service. That's fine, I still had to ask several times for my refund though (which is a problem). All this while the manager proceeded to berate me and proceed in bouts of unprofessionalism. Just wanted to compliment the guy working at smoothie king this morning. I wish I got his name. Right after ordering I got a really important call from my surgeon that I couldn't miss & I answered, sat down & waited for my smoothie. I couldn't get off the phone when they called my name so he brought it directly to me.... sounds simple, but honestly people in customer service really don't go the extra mile anymore. Not only was my smoothie great, it was huge!!! The medium is pretty big just to warn you, but if it's going to be your meal then it's not a bad deal. I'm sure I'll be back soon! read more
