We came here for desserts after dinner. The staff were nice and welcoming. They gave a lot of suggestions. I ended up getting a butterscotch. It was creamy and had a few chunks in it. Good ice cream shop, I see it has coffee but definitely saw more go for coffee over the breakfast area. Bakery items looked hidden from the view. Nice clean location and very clean with some seating options. We had a chocolate milk shake. Surprising they added 8 scoops which sounded like a lot but we got it and it felt like a McDonald's shake and light. Ice cream looked good. Service was slow with 2 staff but maybe cause it was Sunday afternoon but I'm sure it better in the evening with hopefully more. read more

Ambiance: modern with high ceiling, bright lighting. There's outdoor seating too that's pet friendly with a lot more space. Indoors is just 3 tables which isn't that friendly with (mostly) families coming in. Tables and seats definitely could've been wiped down more clean and the napkin dispensers on table be refilled. Service: no fault here for the scooping and giving out samples. Food: here's the great debate whether it's really better than A's...pricing wise no, I was a bit peeved at the additional $1 for mix and match flavor which you know the other store doesn't do. I think the ice cream here is a bit more firm so maybe melts not as fast. There's a color changing spoon when you scoop into the ice cream so that's another cool thing for the kids. There's also tea/bubble tea/macarons/pastries for those who might want to try other items. read more

Best Ice cream ever!!!!! Yes it's the best ice cream you will ever taste. A bold statement but it's every bit true. We had a Mongo falooda, AMAZING! Kheer is like the bestest flavor they got. Was looking for a boba place and stumbled across Dumonts! Allowed us to sample the unsweet tea version of the original milk tea and it was super yummy and the bubbles in the main drink are perfect! Great service- we called to ask for their hours and they said they closed at 9 and it was 8:55 and they stayed open for us! I got the mandarin and mango ice cream and it was super yummy and creamy. Just found this place tonight on a random ice cream run with my wife and was blown away. Quality ingredients make the flavors pop and also some really unique flavors. I had a combination of strawberry and lemon pie which paired amazingly. My wife got Ferror and Mint Chocolate Chip. She was so pleased. I can't wait to go back and try their boba and the variety of coffees I saw listed in the board. Great addition to lakeway and the help begins the counter was pleasant and patient as we tried a few flavors before landing on our combination. We'll be back! read more

My husband and I were looking to get ice cream cones in Lakeway and came upon Dumont Creamery & Cafe just 5 minutes from our house. We were delighted to see the lovely interior and comfortable seating. What amazed us were the unique choices of ice cream available. I am picky about my ice cream, and the ice cream here hits all the marks. I've now tried Biscoff, Jamaican Rum, Raspberry Marscapone, and Kheer, and they were all excellent with a perfectly smooth texture, not overchurned and buttery/waxy. But if I'm more picky about anything than ice cream, it is coffee. I'm from the northwest, where people imbibe from morning until night, so I am so ridiculously happy that I can get a really excellent coffee/espresso late late. I hope Dumont can break the curse of this location. I'll do my part. :) read more

Delicious ice cream, unique flavors - I had a scoop of coffee and a scoop of butterscotch. Tasted the kheer and the hazelnut brownie - I will be back for both! They offer macarons, chocolate croissants, very large cookies, carrot cake, and many other pastry items too. Loved the music playing as well. read more
