I drive by Juiceland twice daily to and from work. They are located on 620. Next to the fire station and school. And next to a pizza place. I recommend going when you're driving north on 620, cause, have you ever tried to make a left on 620 crossing traffic? It's a whole waiting game if you're driving south. I parked at the pizza place, because I was getting pizza, and while I was waiting, I got my drink. There is parking in the back too. This is actually my first time here at this location, first time ever at Juiceland. As you walk up the ramp to the front door, you pass by 2 fruit slice swings that hang from the ceiling. If it wasn't so hot, I would have tried them out. I'm a big kid. The porch is quite inviting and shaded, which is a plus. They have a big game of connect four. And a big beautiful back play yard and a picnic table. A nice little place for kids to run around. Inside is cheerful. Bright colors on the walls and shelving fixtures. Tables and chairs inside. I was greeted nicely when I walked in. Some other customers were inside too. They commented on my touristy picture taking skills. Gotta have pictures if you're gonna write a review. Juiceland not only make refreshing drinks, but they also make smoothie bowls. Today it's just a drink to try them out. I got a small Pleasant Valley. Which was watermelon lemon, pineapple, and I think lime too. It was very refreshing on this super hot day. They also carry snacks too. Hu chocolate, Siete chips. Cheerful Yeti stainless steal tumblers. I love the colors, they boast the Juiceland logo on them. Also, stainless steal straws with straw brush! I should have snagged one, or two. Can always use another straw with cleaning brush! I found the whole experience pleasant, like my drink. Friendly service. And it was quick. I will come back, when I'm driving north on 620.

The League Tavern is a gastropub…read more "Gastropub". That word is so 2010's. A decade ago calling yourself a "gastropub" was the coolest thing in the hospitality industry. Now, it is a lost artifact of another decade, along with Swedish House Mafia and Britney Spears. The League calls itself a retro reminder of the eating clubs of the 1920's and 1930's. It is pretty damm good as a gastropub. It would not really want to be an eating club of the Prohibition era. Menus in that era could be pretty awful. Mashed parsnips. Liver and onions. Greens that have been cooked to death. Tough steaks. Low quality lager beer. The Indian Puddings were all right. The fish was great if it was fresh. I wish they would bring back Welsh Rarebit. But the League sticks to a contemporary menu ... And I am glad they do. Their contemporary dishes are just great. I had a faro salad with grilled shrimp on top. The faro salad was everything I would want a grain salad to be. (I have had some awful tabboulehs and quinoa salads in my time.) The shrimp were completely lovely. Prices are high - but that is what comes with being a gastropub. The concept is: Pay more. Eat higher quality. The Lakeway market will certainly support the League in the prices it wants to charge. The selection on the menu - and for that matter the selection at the bar - is fairly restricted. Having a small menu is not a necessary correlate of being a gastropub. Some gastropubs offer you an expansive range of choices. But careful management of the menu choices means that each and every dish can be polished to a high degree of execution finesse. Practice makes perfect. My guess is that the League envisions itself as a neighborhood place - albeit a rich neighborhood place. Their customers are likely to be regulars. The regulars order their favorite dishes over and over. I myself like my bars and grills to be Cheaper, Funkier and With bigger selections on the menu and at the bar itself. So the League is not exactly my style. But what they do, they do well. They are expanding, opening more branches in more locations. They can do this because the League fills a real need in the Lakeway-Bee Cave market. If a Lakeway resident were to invite me to be their guest at the League Tavern, I would be happy to accept that invitation. Especially if they were picking up the check.

I placed macaroni and cheese and brussels sprouts in the cart. Placed the order. I got a text message and an email of my recipe. 11 minutes later I got a text saying that it was ready to pick up. I walked in to the restaurant. It wasn't very busy. I waited not even a minute when a nice women came up to me. She asked if I was picking up an order. I said yes. And said my name, I was trying to get to my text message with my receipt, she already had my bag and was walking back to me. Super quick service. By the time I got home, Urg, traffic on 620, seriously!! The food was warm/hot, so I heated it up for a couple minutes in the toaster oven. The macaroni is actually big shells, and I love that cause the cheese gets inside of the shell and it's cheesy gooey. Cheese was fantastic. Really enjoyed the Mac. Brussels sprouts I feel were just steamed. They didn't have that chard crispy outside. Just plan steamed sprouts. My small meal was delicious. Hoping to actually eat inside and have a cocktail.

My absolute favorite dish is the fried fish and chips--perfectly crispy on the outside and tender and flavorful on the inside. It's honestly one of the best versions I've had anywhere. On my most recent visit, I also tried the lettuce tacos, which seem to be really popular there right now. The moment I took my first bite I fell in love with the flavor. They were fresh, light, and packed with amazing taste. I ended up eating the whole thing right away because they were just that good. I also ordered the fried dill pickles, which are another personal favorite of mine. They were perfectly fried and full of flavor. One thing I've noticed every time I visit is that the restaurant is always busy, which says a lot. It's clear that many people love their Mediterranean menu, and after eating here multiple times, I completely understand why. I also enjoyed sitting outside at the Hill Country Galleria--it's a great atmosphere to relax and enjoy your meal. I highly recommend Artemis Mediterranean Grill if you're in the area. The food is delicious, the menu has something for everyone, and it's definitely a place I'll keep coming back to.

However, my shrimp pita only contained three shrimp. I opted for a Greek salad instead of fries. My husband said his dish was fine. Overall, the restaurant was much more crowded than I expected for a Thursday night in Bee Caves. The staff did their best to keep up with the demand. Although I saw two servers, the manager also helped out where he could. It took a while for us to be acknowledged and for our orders to be taken. However, the food came out quickly after we ordered. The place has a large patio area as well as indoor seating, plus a sizable bar with TVs. I felt the food was fresh and well-prepared. I do wish there had been more shrimp in my pita and that the price was lower. I paid $19 for a pita with just three shrimp, and there was an extra charge for the salad instead of fries. Since we don't eat out as much as we used to, I'm not sure when we will return.

It truly feels like a neighborhood restaurant that everyone loves--locals constantly gathering here for coffee, great food, and good company. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, making it a place people naturally return to again and again. This visit, I ordered the classic hamburger with French fries, and it was excellent--simple, fresh, and cooked just right. I also had their Moon Latte, which was absolutely delicious. Everything was spot-on. VIVEL is a wonderful place to enjoy time with friends, family, and even children. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for incredible cuisine, great coffee, and a warm neighborhood vibe.

The food is consistently good, and most of the staff have always been incredibly sweet, welcoming, and helpful. That said, we had a really disappointing experience during our last visit that felt worth sharing. A younger female employee with a long dark ponytail brought our food over, I think she was a food runner - but she wasn't wearing the Vivel branded t shirt like the other employees. When my husband politely asked for ketchup, she visibly rolled her eyes before bringing it. When I then asked if I could please have a knife (I'm seven months pregnant, for context), she started to walk to get one, took two steps, turned back and said "you can go get it yourself". It felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive, especially given how quiet the café was at the time. We stayed for a while after and watched her standing by the counter organizing utensils, so it wasn't a matter of being too busy. We really like this place and will continue coming back, but this interaction stood out in a negative way and didn't reflect the level of service we've experienced before.

Free parking is available, but I am sure it's better to visit at night in the summer. We were 4 people, and after hiking, we were, I mean, hungry. They welcomed us and took us to the corner of the room, where families occupied a few tables. Since the tables were so close together, we just got up and told them we would sit outdoors. I was wondering why they insist on using only one side of the indoor dining room, since the rest of the room was empty. The outdoors were not that crowded. A family with their cute pets was enjoying the food and conversation. Thank God it was a nice breezy day. It was kind of a late lunch/early dinner time, so we decided to try a few things. Since we have never been to this place, our server recommended a few things. I was craving a burger and salad. Please take a look at the pictures. The food was not bad, and the service was very attentive. We ordered dessert with ice cream and enjoyed the ice cream more than the actual dessert. At the end, one of us went to the bathroom and came out fast, and said, " Don't use the bathroom. It's very dirty. That was sad. We took two hours to get here, and now we need to find another place to use the bathroom and wash our hands. So are we going back? I don't know. Front desk help was ok, could be friendlier. I mean, just a welcome smile will be appreciated.

When they took over their current location (used to be a divish bar) in 2022, they really transformed the place into something special. Arguably one of the best patios in the Lake Travis area. Lots of choices of types of seating from standard tables and chairs to comfy sofas. Complete with a fire pit, full bar with TVs, lots of fans, QR code orfering and checkout an option...super chill, spacious, and inviting environment (especially since it's located directly off of busy 620). The inside is really large, including an oversized bar area seating. Offers a very nice dining option (or just for drinks), but if the weather's nice you'll "catch me outside." Don Mario has always offered traditional Mexican cuisine. If you're looking for boring Tex-Mex, you might be a little bit disappointed (albeit they do offer quesadillas, fajitas, flautas+ but kicked up a notch). Some of my personal favorites are the Mexican street tacos (seven different proteins to choose from), ceviche, albondigas, cóctel de camarones, and more; great chips and salsa. Another favorite is off menu, but it's just a basic refried bean and cheese burrito. Magically flavorful and they are not shy with the cheese, which is a very good thing in my book. A great inexpensive and indulgent option to get in protein for the day. Always receive very friendly and prompt service from both wait staff and kitchen. They're always amenable to any special requests, including creating off menu items as previously mentioned. If you're in the mood, they do serve some pretty tasty house frozen FRESH fruit margaritas (strawberry, pineapple, cucumber, or mango). They have a limited happy hour available Monday through Friday from 3-7pm. Save a buck is a buck is a buck. ;) Overall, sí por favor. :D ¡Salud!
